You made some good points about Luqing. He is definitely not the ideal mate. I really have to agree with your point on how he treated his sister and how he leaves Fan whenever it suits him. I also think he wants Fan to stay married for his own selfish reasons.

I don't think Lu Qing is a villain. I think he loves Fan, and his trying to get free from his Mother's influence. I think he is making plans for them to move away together.

This is just from some of the series breadcrumbs. The show is dropping little tidbits everywhere. The show's real plot is hidden in what is not said or shown.

I think the engagement is just a cover. I think Lu Qing is Gay; he is not Bi, but I could be wrong.

I think Lu Qing knows all about everyone's stock market scheming. He has a lot of people scheming against him.

I think Fan is going to save the day, and he will be the one to make a fortune because everyone is underestimating him.

Lu Qing absolutely knows Fan Fan planned for them to get caught. He knows Soupy should have been in the kitchen instead of posing like a stud. lol

This series is really getting good. It just snuck up on me and grabbed me so hard.

I didn't even like it that much at first. I was just watching to be watching, but now I'm emotionally invested.

Both of them crying for each other is too much; they got me all in my feelings. I am too emotional, no pun intended! lol

The m/m lead couple's chemistry is electric, and the acting is on point.

I think Lu Xin was trying to save her marriage to Fan. The whole drunk balcony act, then bedroom confession/make love to me, was her attempt to stay married. But Fan got other plans. lol.

I would be shocked if Qing and Xin had actually shared an intimate moment, because Qing has liked men since he was young. Dating women is just for show.

Also, this was the clearest moment we could see Fan in action. I orchestrated everything, including the family walking in on them. I wonder what he told his brother during that phone call? Might have been part of his plan.

However, fellow DMD trainee Matthis Metharam released an official statement on July 31, 2026, announcing that he is stepping away from Domundi due to personal matters.
