It’s after 10pm in China which means we’re past peak viewership hours. The Fri-Sun frame has been interesting. Although, Pearl Girl and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy opened big, their numbers didn’t really improve much day-over-day. Eastern Fantasy started in the low 27Ks and hasn’t be able to break 29K on Tencent’s index. While Pearl Girl stated in the 10K range of Youku’s index, and it remains in that range.
Index scores aren’t based solely on viewership, rather they include SM posts and videos. The slow rise indicates that the majority of their scores were related to their marketing posts and videos and not viewership.
In contrast, FoF improved its score by 53% (going from 5500 to 8400) in its first 3 days.
FoF, for reason, also continued to defy expectations by improving its heat score this weekend: going from 8500 to 8700. That’s incredible given how much competition it faced.
However, I don’t expect to see many articles highlighting that the other two aren’t improving significantly and that FoF has managed to increase its score. The other two have more money to loose and are, understandably, still using this strategy: Step 1: convince the people that what they have isn’t worth keeping. And convince the people who might want what those people have that it isn’t worth getting. Step 2: offer your product directly after discrediting the other company’s product Step 3: ensure that your product is more prominent than your competitions Step 4: enlist outside help to praise your product more than your competitor’s Step 5: double down on step 1 by ensuring that negative commentary about your competition is more prominent than positive commentary Step 6: repeat steps 1-5
LOL, the more that GJM is attacked, the more I know that he’s just being bullied.
Hmm…so a case that over 18 years old is the evidence that he has plagiarized FoF??? I’m curious as to his defense. Given the latest high profile cases for plagiarism in the West (for example, Ed Sheeran), I’d like to see how his case compares to theirs.
I see a lot of comments that he likes to wage a “war on heterosexuality.” In fact, that’s a comment that has more than 26K likes on Douyin. I also see comments in Weibo that he likes his male actors to appear without a shirt on camera. These all suggest that homophobia is more that culprit for his dislike than an 18yr old case of plagiarism

Obviously you need schooling since you tried to defend something that had no evidence. Here’s another lesson for you. Repeating something in writing that damages a persons character and has no evidence is called libel.

Your link literally contains the following only: “ Deserves even less for plagiarizing tianbao, from plot device to donghua designs. Fuck everyone who is promoting it even after knowing about it, especially danmei readers”. Now please go and get the words ans situations plagiarized. If it’s true, it won’t be too hard for you

It doesn’t sound like you or the OP understand the definition of plagiarism. Before I get to schooling you on that, I will say that many directors in China appear to be accused of this whenever another fanbase wants to target them. This really weakens the accusation.
Here’s how you know if something has been plagiarized: the new work has to contain EXACT passages, phrases, situations and characters in the same situations as the original work. Otherwise, the accusation of plagiarism fails the legal definition.
Reusing the concept is not plagiarism. As Mark Twain once said, “ There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope.”
Now , please provide the exact work, page and paragraph of the text that GJM stole to make FoF. I’ll be waiting

episode 16 is converting me to the camp that says this incarnation of the Baize Goddess is useless. While I appreciate that ZYZ is her boo, and I love that relationship, Wen Xiao is…EFFIN’ USELESS. DO SOMETHING!!! I’m trying to stay strong to believe that GJM won’t leave her character like this.
Minutes 6:30 - 7:30 in episode 16 are where audiences would be standing on their feet and cheering if this had been released in theatres! And minutes 36:05 - 36:52. AMAZING!!! That’s also the reason why so much time was invested in building that relationship in the previous episodes.
I think the traitor in the squad could be Wen Xiao. Some of her expressions seem suspicious as if she were being controlled by something. I keep thinking back to her lines in Episode 10 where she says that she feels like she’s been having “endless dreams” since Ran Yi’s case.
