Cute but the writing isn't great. They didn't have the skill to properly write the 1 year gap. As others pointed out, they didn't call or text each other the whole time? Maybe it would have worked before cell phones but makes no sense these days. This isn't the only example of weak writing but definitely is a blaring example of it.

When I was 20, I dated a guy who was 17. He implored me to date him. Wouldn't take no for an answer. He was a month from 18. This story reminds me a bit of that. Too bad he moved out-of-state. I look back and wonder what could've been. He was the cutest Filipino I've ever met. ❤️ We had fun and I'll never forget him.
