Huh, got a new life on Gagaoolala now. Looks like a completely new sub.
For all curious, read my review. In short, it's a bromance only, nothing overt. This came out in the wake of the Addicted censorship troubles. A bummer but well I still liked it.
Good, but not perfect. A slow burn that is formulaic. Chemistry was OK but when the script called for physical intimacy, it was rather stiff. The soundtrack was very good.
I don't know Mew, or Art, or Gulf. Never met them, they are not my friends, and I probably will never meet them. For that reason, their personal lives are absolutely none of my business. I don't understand all the hate for something happening between people offscreen , and in many cases, who are a half a world away. Some fans are taking things so personal lol.
They are all handsome and cute, and can act. Looking forward to their projects.
Finally, a BL drama that depicts the deep-seated fear and trust issues when a partner runs away. So many dramas present the guy who was left in the dust as perfectly OK when the other guy returns. I felt Eddy's fear of being hurt again, and bravo that he spoke up about it. Too bad Ian always freezes up and leaves Eddy hanging.
Cute but seriously overused the flashbacks, and the stuff they were doing to get scoops was very dangerous!! That's stuff law enforcement should be doing, not reporters. As a positive, I did like that there was no gay panic at all or any homophobia. Good chemistry. Also, Izuka Kenta from Pornographer was neat and had a major plot point (which was interesting) and not just a cameo.
Earlier I commented that these characters have the emotional intelligence of a potato. I regret that now. It was mean of me to insult the defenseless potato.
Better. The first season sets up Ah Zhai as a jerk, but season 2 is his redemption arc and he grows in his love for both Adam and Penny. Also he treats Adam much better by the end.
What worked for UWMA was the red string of fate, the flashbacks, the story had an interesting premise that saved it from being a generic BL drama. This doesn't have any of that even though its set in the same timeline and universe.
5 episodes in and Im so bored with the main couple. Everyone in this show has the emotional intelligence of a potato. Hope it gets more interesting soon. More or less just hanging on because of the small references to UWMA.
