I think the portrayal of the evil General Gu Wei Ting (Gu Hai's father) is a lot scarier. That actor nailed it. Wu Bi's father doesn't have that same edge. They did a better job of setting up GWT.
Still, loving this show.
Also, he is evil. What he does to Gu Hai in the book is just terrible. :(
Oh, wanna point out one other little thing, years ago like when this came out, there wasn't much BL and lot of shows had some disturbing themes, low budgets, newbie actors, but it was all we had... so that or nothing. The genre has matured and there is a ton of great BL out there now.
Huh, got a new life on Gagaoolala now. Looks like a completely new sub.
For all curious, read my review. In short, it's a bromance only, nothing overt. This came out in the wake of the Addicted censorship troubles. A bummer but well I still liked it.
Good, but not perfect. A slow burn that is formulaic. Chemistry was OK but when the script called for physical intimacy, it was rather stiff. The soundtrack was very good.
I don't know Mew, or Art, or Gulf. Never met them, they are not my friends, and I probably will never meet them. For that reason, their personal lives are absolutely none of my business. I don't understand all the hate for something happening between people offscreen , and in many cases, who are a half a world away. Some fans are taking things so personal lol.
They are all handsome and cute, and can act. Looking forward to their projects.
Finally, a BL drama that depicts the deep-seated fear and trust issues when a partner runs away. So many dramas present the guy who was left in the dust as perfectly OK when the other guy returns. I felt Eddy's fear of being hurt again, and bravo that he spoke up about it. Too bad Ian always freezes up and leaves Eddy hanging.
Cute but seriously overused the flashbacks, and the stuff they were doing to get scoops was very dangerous!! That's stuff law enforcement should be doing, not reporters. As a positive, I did like that there was no gay panic at all or any homophobia. Good chemistry. Also, Izuka Kenta from Pornographer was neat and had a major plot point (which was interesting) and not just a cameo.

In actuality, they were absolute strangers until even after the one mom married the other boy's father.
