Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
this drama was executed perfectly and i feel like people missed the point at the ending, they end up together…
The problem is not the toxicity, but the nonsense missunderstandings. After the first breakup, he really changed , loved her and pursued her for real. Yet the other girlk lied to her saying he was dating her. Thats what started all the problems of the show, and its ridiculous that when he realized the other girl had lied, he never said anything to her. I was actually waiting for a big reveal saying why he kept that secret, like owing his life to the other girl or her being terminally ill or somethjing. but no, not even a lame excuse. He just.... decides not to tell the girl he loves that it was a lie and leaves her crying and almost looses her. Just because he didnt feel like saying it...

Happy ending for the main leads?
Officially happy, but terrible.
Replying to kdreviews Jan 13, 2022
I loved this drama, it’s very realistic.
Yes, it is very realistic that somebody lies to the girl you like saying you are in a relationship with another girl, and when she runs away from you and cries you dont say that was a lie. And then when she asks you directly about it, you say "that is not the issue", and never explain to her that it was a lie. Very realistic.

Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
Just finished it. Great acting.... terrible everything else. omg what did I just watch. Script writers must have been high.Have you seen several kdramas with toxicity and missunderstandings? well those are rooky numbers compared to this one. WTF seriously. One of many examples: Somebody tells FL that ML cheated on her dating another girl. So she goes away from ML. ML doesnt know what happens at first, but then he realizes the lie. Well he doesnt say anything and still tries to seduce her (who would love to be with him except because she thinks he cheated) but he never explains she was lied to. And he keeps quiet about it even when he sees her cry all the time because of it. Bad enough? Well, thats not all. She tells him: "you cheated".... and he answers "thats not the issue", and keeps trying to seduce her... while knowing somebody lied to her about him cheating and thats the only problem between them... WTFThis is just an example, many times something like this happens. Well, obviously after seeing those things, I believe there will be a big secret reveal on why he never said those things where a lie. Like owing his life to the one who lied or something like that. And at the end when she realizes that, they get together. Well not only is there no reveal, no reason on why the frak he didnt tell her she was lied to, its even worse. She NEVER realizes those things were a lie!! She goes back to him at the end for a "happy" ending, believeing he really cheated on her, and with a final sentence: I know I will regret it, but I still want to be with you.WTF, terrible show, terrible story, terrible script, terrible nonsense missunderstandings/secrets, terrible ending. Acting and chemistry (at the start) was great tho, what a pitty.

Just finished it. Very good. Very lighthearted, no angst at all, tons of romance scenes. And very funny, there are quite some scenes where I laughed out loud.

If you just want romance and some laughs, this is perfect.

Just finished it. The worst romance Ive seen. And Ive watched over 40 korean romances.
If you will like a 17 episode long romance show where they are together for 3 minutes in the entire show, go for it. For me it was terrible.

Title The Master's Sun Spoiler
Worst romance Ive seen. Simply terrible. If you are here for the ghosts, sure, go ahead. If you want a romance, forget it. Do you know those annoying breakups many romances have? Well, its your lucky day, all the stupid missunderstandings and separations they have cant be called a break up here, because they simply are never together!

This is a recap of the romance of this show:

- She acts like a total pushover for a lot of episodes. Much more than in other shows, she is literally begging him to be able to be close to him. Whatever the cost.
- He acts like a jerk for all that time, treating her terribly
- At some point, both are in love but dont say anything. Obviously he has to follow a trope and pushes her away. But only shortly, because then...
- He confesses to her. And somehow, the girl who has been so many episodes begging him to be near him, and was clearly in love for the last few episodes... doesnt want to be with him. Or she plays dumb or somehow acts like she doesnt like him... WTF
- It looks like she finally will give in and accept his love, but then she overhears a conversation of him with his aunt, where he doesnt say absolutly anything wrong about her..... and somehow she gets totally mad at him. Conversation: "When I told her about your marriage she didnt seem to mind" "Yes you cant scare her, she wont budge". Thats it, thats what she heard. After 10 episodes of enduring him treating her like crap, and smiling back, she gets mad because of those words.... WTF
- So now they start a total wierd relationship, where he says he loves her, and he will act acordingly, but tells her that she needs to be strong and reject him and she agrees and wtf I dont even know what Im watching anymore.
- Then another amazing stuff happens, he looses his memory of her, of course, not before telling her how much he loves her. She is devastated because obviously she loves him.
- He gets his memory back, runs to her, and tells her, she doesnt have to reject him anymore (why the hell did he ask her to do it before is still ridiculous), so everything is perfect now for the both of them right? Well no, she acts as if she doesnt like him now. Oh what a surprise.
- Now she is leaving the country. He tells her thats ok,"do that and come back to me". .... "I cant promise that". Of course, how can this show have anything romantic in it.
- They have a fun (for me) conversation: "Its not fair, we always talk about how to end things but we never really started anything". EXACTLY, thank you for at least realizing how aweful this romance was. A romance where we dont get any romance scenes.
- They decide to have 1 date before she leaves. At the end of the date they break up (now they can finally say they break up because we finally got to see them together for 1 minute, yay!). She needs to leave to learn about her condition, and of course, they cant just separate without breaking up like normal people.
- A year passes and we see how he counts every day without her. She comes back but doesnt go see him. They randomly meet and he obviously wants to be with her, but she still refuses. She still thinks she needs to do something to be worth of him, while the only thing he wants is to be with her and is suffering because of that. Ridiculous like everything else.
- She does something that makes her feel worthy and they get together. 3 minutes before the end of the 17 episode show. Now we can finally watch a 3 minute romance. The End

I have a question about this show and true beauty. Seems you put the sML as a pro, but I hate love triangles.…
Thanks for the detailed answer ;)

Just rewatched for the feels. If you love this story w/in a story trope (one of my favorites) you will be satisfied…
I have a question about this show and true beauty. Seems you put the sML as a pro, but I hate love triangles. How bad are the love triangles in both shows? One sided love, or there is actaully competition? Does the relation between the leads get dragged because of the other one?
I had true beauty on my watchlist for a long time, and just added this one too. But both are on hold because of the love triangle tag which I hate

Title Our Glamorous Time Spoiler
The story is very bad. Intentionally writer shows scenes where the characters are truly evil and go to any extend…
I agree. I cant believe FL never found out it was her friend and alumnus who destroyed her suit.
It didnt make sense how they protraied Ning Wei sometimes as an evil character who does everything to win, and other times as a Saint.
On Our Glamorous Time Jan 10, 2022
Just finished it. Its way too long. Has way too much business/corporation stuff for my likeing.
I am here for the romance, and while it has a lot of romance, it.... its hard to explainb. There are a lot of romance scenes yes, but they are always just in passing. Like a 2 minute conversation during work. Another short conversation after work. And repeat.
So yes, it has a lot of romance, but its just not ... deep/cool moments. Its all the time about work and corporation war, with a lot of small romance scenes in between.
If you are looking for romance, it's alright, but not great.

mmh 11 or 12. Sounds late when used to 16 episode shows, but this is a 33 episode show, so its pretty early.

Any love triangles and is there a happy ending?
Happy ending, generally happy show, and no love triangles.
At the start, MLs friend seems to flirt with her, but it's just to tease ML. And she likes that guy... but just because every girl likes him. It sounds like a love triangle, but I hate love triangles and this was really nothing. It's just there to give ML a little push into pursuing her. His friend even does it for that reason.

Having seen your comments at other places I know you watch romantic shows with happy endings!! I also am very…
I added commentaries to each of them
Mmh, which is better depends quite a lot on your taste. For me the ones I enjoyed most may be: Encounter, Oh My Venus, Coffee Prince, 30 but still 17, What's wrong with secretary Kim. The Kings affection...
But Im not even sure, since it may also depend on what moment I watched them I may rewatch one and like it more or less than before.

Also check the comments above, you may like or dislike some things I write about them

Having seen your comments at other places I know you watch romantic shows with happy endings!! I also am very…
Here is a list of romances with happy endings. All are generally happy shows (some more than others, but I usually hate big tragedies so there arent many in this list). This is the order in which I watched them, so its not best to worst:

My love from the star - watched it long ago. It was my first 100% romance, and I liked it

Romance is a bonus book - very very lighthearted. just has a small love triangle as a bad thing

It's ok to not be ok - I enjoyed the characters a lot.

Love in the Moonlight - historical, it was just regular

Descendants of the sun - Very good, loved ML, not so much FL (in most kdramas its the opposite for me) They need time to really be together, but they are lovely with eachother even before being together.

Something About 1 Percent - Very lighthearted again. Nothing major happens between them.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - the first 12 episodes have a love triangle that is far too long. But the last 3 or 4 episodes are SO good and beautiful. The triangle isnt annoying because ML still wasnt in love, he just mocks her during that time. Its worth watching

My Strange Hero - Theres a big tragedy, but it was in the past. The show goes uphill all the time and its very good.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon - I didnt like the chemistry at all here. But it is subjective, others liked the chemistry. For me, she didnt seem to love him at any point.

Hometown cha cha cha - Lovely

What's wrong with secretary Kim - fun and totally a dating romance show

Goblin - Oh the feelings... This has 2 big tragedies. But both get resolved well and pretty quickly.

Touch your heart - very lighthearted romcom. Has the typical breakup to protect the other, but its just a fun romcom

30 but still 17 - Lovely. It has one of the most satisfying secret reveals

My roommate is a Gumiho - Was decent. No big tragedies. I didnt like how stiff ML is. But this happens in many kdramas. Annoying triangle. Onesided, but still annoying for me

Oh my venus - One of my favourites. Fun and lighthearted. The only tragedy it has is just an accident, nobodys fault, and is well resolved. They are lovely with eachother

Her private life - Another easy and lighthearted romcom

Dali and the Cocky Prince - Mmh. This one is very good. But I couldnt enjoy it as much as I should because in episodes 2-7 more or less, tragedy after tragedy happen to FL. And ML is too rogh with her at that time.

I'm not a robot - I was likeing it. But as happens with many kdramas, the middle problems get dragged too long for my taste. Theres more problems in the middle than Id like. But it is good and funny

The secret life of my secretary - The quality of this one is a bit lower than the rest, not sure why. Its fun and ok. They get together too late for my taste.

Shopping king Louie - This one was being awesome. But theres a breakup and after they get together, I dont know why but the chemistry is gone for me. He is trying to do stuff with her all the time, but she doesnt seem as in love as before.

While you were sleeping - This is not 100% a romance like the rest. It has a plot, and romance is important but not the main thing. But they are lovely and dont have problems between them

Run on - I loved the start. But after they get together, they lose the chemistry. They had a lot of chemistry while likeing eachother, but somehow after starting dating, she cares more about everything else.

Coffee Prince - Loved this one. Both leads are awesome. Its funny, FL acting is incredibly with such a difficult role. Has an annoying triangle tho. But still worth because its awesome

She was pretty - Lighthearted and ok

20th Century Boy and Girl - Lighthearted and ok, but annoying triangle

Do you like Brahms? - This wasnt very lighthearted for me. ML is flawless with FL, but a girl who goes in between still makes FL break up with him, for too long IMO

The legend of the blue sea - Lighthearted and funny

Another Miss Oh - I liked this one a lot, except for ML being a jerk for far too long. She is lovely from the start, but he needs more than half the show to treat her right.

My secret romance - Lighthearted. Its good, but theres always something seeming to worry her. So there arent many ebpisodes to just enjoy seeing them together.

So I married an anti/fan - I liked it much more than what other comments say about it. They say its toxic and there are a lot of missunderstandings For me only sML was toxic and he didnt manage to do anything to ML or FL. It was lighthearted and sweet for me.

The tale of Nokdu - Historical. Pretty good, but The kings affection is similar and better for me.

Encounter - Awesome and lovely since episode 1. Episodes 1-13 are great. At the end there is an annoying breakup before the happy ending, but show is still amazing

The kings affection - My favourite historical romance. Sweet and entertaining. Manages to tell a political story I usually dont care about, but in such a way that I dont skip it for the romance like I usually do. And romance is always the main point.

The Package - Lighhearted, has several interesting character stories. Different than the others because it happens in france.

Is there any angst after eps 13? Or missunderstanding?
Typical break up to protect the other at episode 15. But you see it coming during 14. Both are still in love, but she decides to break up to protect him (his family) from all the fuzz of being famous. They get together in 16. I hate this kind of stuff, but believe me, it's worth watching. Both leads are amazing with eachother since ep1
