My guess is that he just went after FLâs family to eliminate another state leader, without knowing who FL really is. If he knew FLâs identity he would probably kill her first. Knowing how capable she is, he would expect her to take revenge in full beast mode. That would also alert the MLâs side since they are always together.
I think Iâll be taking some advice from the comment section. Just watch it after the series ends, so I could skip the filler episodes. Iâm really tired of MLâs Stepmom & Dad. As one of the users mentioned, thereâs some extent for some villain to be used in a drama. The stepmom has reached hers.
I am a fan of Lusi, I sincerely do not mind the screentime issue. I am watching this for the storyline, thatâs why Iâm so frustrated and disappointed. I was expecting war for every state, and the princes from other states outwitting each other.
YY is a bigger star at the moment, Iâm not surprised that the story revolves around his character. At the end of the day, Lusi will gain something good from this series. She is already being praised for her graceful portrayal of the role. She will have more series after this, thatâs for sure.

The most frustrating part is that none of the MLâs brothers or even his parents are at par with MLâs skills and intelligence in terms of scheming (unless they put a twist on the younger prince and makes him a hidden partner in crime of Wu Yuan).
His equal in all aspects (breathtakingly handsome included) are Prince Hao and Wu Yuan. Imagine the schemes they would be dealing with because they are all just too smart! How long until we see these 3 battle each other for the world?

Previews show they would still continue about this fight to be the heir shenanigan until more than half of the drama. What happened to the âWorldâ part? I get that Wu Yuan is now the super villain, but how is this arc going to move forward? What is happening in Prince Haoâs side of the world? FL feels like a side character that the ML needs for character development. This is still my best wuxia drama of 2022 but Iâm disappointed that its focusing more on the MLâs family issues or political drama. I wanna see how the gentries outwit each other to get what they want instead of the queen, king and princes and their disfuctional family.
Though the political shenanigans of MLâs family is quite good, Iâm starting to get tired of it. Based on the previews they would continue until Ep 24, thatâs more than half of the series already. I want to see more of the evil sect/ yu wuan arc and the FLâs background.
Some did not like how LX confessed to QW but I find it to be really perfect.
Though LQW was deliberate in confessing ASAP coz he knows LX likes QW, it doesnt change the fact that LX was always a step behind LQW. Yes, LX love is above and beyond but he has always held back in terms of confessing. He said it himself if he was just as courageous as he is now when he was 18, maybe things turned in his favor. And that makes his confession PERFECT. It was his redemption. He was quick to act this time. Throwing everything aside and just simply going for it. A perfect way to show that he is no longer the 18y/o boy who would be robbed of the love of his life. LQW witnessing that made it more perfect.
