I think the problem with the early episodes is the owner of the wood carving buisiness, he is such a miserable…
I dont think so, the story of the wood carving master and student was great. I think its the slow pacing and the fact that there is no overblown drama or those edgy moments which you see in your average c-drama. People have gotten used to and have started liking the over the top moments, which are extremely poorly written and cliche so no wonder this drama is not everyone's cup of tea.
Great story, solid main characters, many loveable side characters, good pacing, unreal cinematography, music thats actually fits with the story and no bs cliche plot points. This has to be one of if not the best dramas ive watched and I very very highly recommend watching. Didn't know cdrama could be this good(because of all the modern bs dramas).
I feel like the first 5 eps could have been condensed into maybe 1 or 2 eps. After ep 5 the show has been going good. So if you feel like dropping, just skim through the first 1-4 eps.
This was a terrible show, I wouldn't recommend watching it at all (please dont waste your time).
Male lead's character development is horrible, wasted characters, extremely bad/forced plot points.... this is just a wasted drama in my opinion. With the initial character setting it would have been a pretty good story if done well, however everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Im not even trying to bs but I hated my time watching it. The only thing i did like was the female leads acting, even though her character lacked depth. Instead id recommend watching either the best thing or the first frost.
The ending was obvious, mc confesses or gets caught but the show some how took a disastrous route. What I think would have been the perfect ending would be one of the two I mentioned above, but since he is still a teenager would have gotten a juvenile sentence (looking at max 5 years) and could have reworked his life from 0. But ig that would be a fairy tale ending that the writers didnt want but def would have been a better tho.
