LDW's scenes in Strangers from Hell are some of the most haunting scenes ever. Even on rewatch I am mesmerized.
To some extent, they are also his most intense "love" scenes. The chemistry was off the charts.

I have spent this entire show hoping to see Kiki and Takumi find love together, so I am very disappointed that it looks like she will be with Makoto.
But I still love the characters and the happy story so I will stay until the ending and I will try to cheer everyone on even if Kiki and Takumi do not end up together no matter how sad it makes me. :'(

Exactly. And I like how from the very beginning of the drama, you could feel a genuinely deep and meaningful connection between Gang Tae and Moon Young under all those layers.

I adore "Marry Me"! I only recently discovered it and immediately binged it. I was surprised that more people are not watching it.

I agree. I never understood why the ratings and the numbers of viewers are so low for jdramas.

I also don't understand why it is so difficult to find jdramas on legitimate streaming sites and why it often takes so long for them to get subbed. It is very frustrating.

That was heartbreaking.

I should mention, that despite my disappointment in the outcome of both Cheese in the Trap and The Heirs, I still enjoy rewatching them just to revisit some of the characters and over-the-top tropes.

Cheese in the Trap (I disliked the male lead, and adored the second lead)

I am not frustrated with the outcome of Start Up because based on all the descriptions, I knew going in that the focus was going to be on a love triangle and I am familiar with the acting skills of both actors so I was prepared for heartbreak.
But because I like both characters so much I will be genuinely sad for whoever has to remain just friends with SDM.

Oh, I am not sure if you will have a change of heart if you are this far along.
I actually love the relationship between the brothers, the relationship between Gang Tae and Moon Young despite it's flaws, and the relationship between Sang Tae and Moon Young.

I don't know what episode you are currently on, but this is a journey of healing, growth, and forming deep relationships for all the characters. So hopefully with time, you will be able to enjoy their relationship more.

I was not suggesting that people "are required to rate high based on their character", quite the contrary actually. But I apologize if something I said gave you this impression.

My hope is that in the end, fans will reflect on the story, the acting and the characters then give a more reasonable rating once they get past their outrage over whatever ship fails.

It is heartbreaking for the actors involved. Especially the talented Kim Seon Ho who is really shining in this drama that will bring him an international spotlight through Netflix, but people are ruining his moment based on a ship.
If they are this immersed emotionally, then they should be rating it higher based on his character and the story that made them feel so strongly about a drama.

Just a thought as we near the end of Start-Up...

As fans, we should keep in mind that the actors Kim Seon Ho and Nam Joo Hyuk choose projects for the opportunity to create wonderful characters with a good storyline, NOT to be the character chosen in the love triangle. They have both succeeded in doing this.

While we may be hurt and disappointed if our favorite character isn't chosen in a love triangle, that does NOT reflect on their work or character or even the story since both sides are so passionate about their favorite male character.
Examples: Choi Young Do (Kim Won Bin - The Heirs) and Baek In Ho (Seo Kang Joon - Cheese in the Trap)

As fans, we should still celebrate and support their work in creating characters that people care so much about, and we should commend them for taking part in Start-Up as an entertaining and popular project that has introduced more viewers to KDramas and more attention to the actors' previous and future works.

I just thought that because Do San was always uncomfortable with having HJP working and being so close to Seo Dal Mi that
this would keep HJP out of everything and Do San would have time to develop a deeper relationship with Seo Dal Mi.

My guess is to avoid HJP being involved as an investor. This will keep him out of their day to day personal and professional lives.
