After rewatching some scenes from episode 7 (since I was distracted during the the first time), I think I understood…
It all started with Ichika being open about her feelings but then took it back shortly after. Amane got disappointed since he thought they finally took a step forward as a couple only to take two steps back. However, they were finally able to spend some time alone outside of the house because of the dad's death anniversary. And of course, they coincidentally met Ichika's married friend along with her husband and son. Amane kept looking at the boy, but I think Ichika's comment about how cute the boy was was what affected him the most. To top it all of, when they went on a date in her old workplace, there was a family in their presence again who were dining with their son. During this time, Amane wouldn't stop drinking when Ichika was chatting with her old boss (note, Amane still thinks the old boss is the person who Ichika loves). I just love it when he got bothered by the words, "Because I know you," since the chef said that to Ichika.

To conclude my long insight, alcohol and the coincidental events were the reasons why Amane thought that the only way...or fastest way to become a real family with Ichika, was to have a kid. I love how each episode we get to see him lose his patience more and more. I look forward to the day that he finally lays down his pride and becomes more honest with Ichika haha.

Btw, I love how through this, they're showing that even though Amane seems mature for his age, he still doesn't exactly know how a relationship and/or marriage works. I'm kinda frustrated that Ichika is not really giving him any insights about those yet, but I understand that she is so focused on solely saving the restaurant. And well, there's still this big misunderstanding between them. But c'mon! I want to see her finally putting two and two together after she noticed Amane kissed her while doing the deed with supposedly "no romantic feelings."

Yeeeesh. But what led to that event though? We went from level 2 to level 10 in a flash lol. Amane's words are just so confusing.

This feels like a completely different drama from season 1. It's like the producer, director, and writer changed, and only the cast was retained. I love it. I can't believe this is my best Kdrama right now when I couldn't even finish s1.

Me too but season 2 is just different. Watch the 1st episode and you'll see it's a movie quality drama.

Agree. I was gonna ask if this is way better than the 1st one, but you already answered it. Thanks.

Yes, it's totally normal that a random guy in the street would offer to cook for you in your house, and a woman living alone would say yes to this. Ah well, shoujo mangas lol.

Title True to Love
I died when they started playing, "She" by Jannabi. Haha and that's one of my favorite songs too. The scene was too creative -- the little canal was just too hilarious.

This is a pleasant surprise. I've been ignoring this since the poster looks cheap like the typical pitiful dumb Cinderella story. But I was happy to be wrong about it.

If I could change one thing though to make the quality better, is to have a ml that is on par with the fl when it comes to the performance (the actress is definitely selling the strong and practical fl role here). I can definitely imagine an actor like, the MatsuJun from 10+ years ago to play the rich and arrogant but awkward character. Ah the good ole' Hana Yori Dango days with the unforgettable Tsukasa and Tsukushi couple...

I know a lot of things don't make sense in this drama, but I'm still curious. Why do they need another wedding when they were already married in the first place? Is there no logical reason? For the sake of dramatic effect?

Actually I find kdrama quite interesting in that aspect and/or developing in interesting ways. They're not shying…
Oh, I've definitely seen more Kdramas than Cdramas. This is actually my first ever costume Cdrama (historical or xianxia). But I don't really remember a lot of Kdramas that have morally gray female lead characters in romcoms or romance in general. Law, business, or any serious dramas with little to no romance, yes. And that's what I mean when I said that the representation is just bad all around. For example, women who are assertive, morally gray, or seductive are not considered to be the ones who will be committed into serious relationships.

We need dramas that have main characters like Pian Ran and Qing Yu.

Especially Pian Ran. Why can't female leads be morally gray and seductive? The facts I found are so true after doing studies and research about Hollywood films and tv series -- the representation of women is so poor since producers and directors are mostly males. The sad part is, it's not only true in Hollywood, but in any entertainment industries in developed countries. Right, "developed."
