I understand what you're trying to say and I just want to clarify that I'm not trying to stop you from comparing Asian dramas since I do that all the time too. I was just saying that comparing the Korean film version to this Jdrama version won't be a good example since film and drama production and budget are totally different. If you're comparing the quality between two dramas that will be more convincing not film vs. drama. Btw, if you haven't watched Love Shuffle, that's the only drama that I can rewatch without skipping and I've watched about 500 various Asian dramas. Well, I'm not one to rewatch as well and it's really a matter of preference, so I don't know if you'll like it.
Hi can someone recommend me some dramas to watch like fr ever since I finished watching this my expectations to…
I recommend the following airing dramas: 1. Go Ahead (Cdrama) - if you know the Korean Reply series with its nostalgic 90s childhood and family theme, it's somewhat similiar and awesomely different. 2. Into the Ring (Kdrama) - I've never seen anything like it. This is my dream drama with a funny and strong female lead who became a politician and a sweet male lead who was a childhood friend then became her secretary then lover haha. Trust me, you'll love it. 3. Flower of Evil (Kdrama). Lee Joon Ki. Period. Lol. It's a mystery thriller drama that centers on the psychological question "Are Monsters Born or Made," which is nature vs. nurture and how rumors can affect somebody's life.
Let's start with the fact that I really like Japanese dramas, part of the reason why I have visited Japan, Korea…
You should watch Hana Yori Dango (2005) or better known as Boys Over Flowers if you've watched the Korean version. There was nothing that was low budget in that drama and it was made in 2005. It really depends what kind of production the tv series has. And btw, you're comparing a film vs. tv series which obviously have a big budget difference, so that's not really a good example.
Sorry.... It's ok not to be ok is gonna be the top....I love this too.... But it's second best ..
I don't think it's because of the gender difference but a matter of preference. I prefer realistic characters over watching dramas with eye-catching or eventful scenes because I can get that entertainment in 1 or 2 hour long movies. I will usually only invest time and full attention to 16-20-episode dramas because the characters grip/move me and not just the unique and flashy story. Overall, what I'm saying is, the more I can understand the character or relate it to it, then the more I get attach to the show.

I disagree. I like both but I prefer this drama overall because it's closer to home. To have someone who you can show your vulnerabilities to and to have someone who refuses to leave you during your dark days. And to care about strangers without motives and to pursue justice for those people. These are all embodied by the main characters in this drama. Don't you want to live in a world with people like that? I know I do and the drama made me feel that, so for me and the lady with the original comment above you, this is one of the best this year if not, the best.
Everybody who lives and breathes go watch this drama! This is giving me the Korean Reply series nostalgia, especially…
And I'm not gonna lie but the two eye candies are doing it for me for this drama. Who would not love to have not-brothers who are easy on the eyes, right? And boy, all three do not lack in the skinship part at all, especially those two! You know who I'm referring to haha.
Everybody who lives and breathes go watch this drama! This is giving me the Korean Reply series nostalgia, especially Reply 1988, but different. It took the family theme 10x more seriously as it's more intimate with the story revolving mostly on just 5 individuals and how connection is deeper than blood ties because this is a family drama where all the characters "became" not "are" family. Have you ever asked yourself if you can choose your family and not be born into one? Then this is your answer. I also love that a girl is raised by 2 dads and not by the usual mom and dad pair. It's great for not just the hijinks (who can forget the period and bra announcement scene haha), but also the amazing and valuable experience. I don't know if there's anbody who won't be moved by the scene where the female lead's dad cried his heart out because of how much he felt sorry for the two sons that he raised who are not even biologically his and how much he wanted to be recognized as their father. If such a human exists, please let me meet him or her. Seriously.
I am on episode 4 and I'm struggling to continue this drama. I just feel so disconnected to all the characters, especially the female lead. Can you give me spoilers or anything except for it gets better? Haha. Btw, I'm watching Good Detectives and Flower of Evil, so I'm definitely not lacking in my experience with detective mystery dramas right now (special mention to Signal my favorite mystery drama).
No worries. I wish you were right though, as his life might have turned out differently like Mizushima Hiro. He retired when he was a rising star (he was only in his mid-20s) to marry and take care of his wife who has an illness. Now, he has 2 daughters and is very dedicated to his family. I really wish Miura Haruma took the same route...

Dropped. I tried this for 3 eps for PD Yoo Ho Jin but it was so boring for me. Maybe I will pick this up later.…
But I see what you're trying to say since this is a show that kinda relies on their guest and the ep 3 guests were boring compared to the first guests with Jang Hyuk.

I found it entertaining because it reminded me of 1 Night 2 Days. It's very similiar: driving around the countryside and playing games in order to eat and leave early
Seriously, I don't know where they're trying to go with this drama and I'm struggling to finish each episode. I might drop this too like the others. I guess every actor/actress who does more than 1 drama a year is bound to do one bad drama at least. Mystic Bar was good though.
I screamed a little when Kim Soo Hyun came all dashing in the studio ? I thought he was cute and looks fine with casual clothes, but wow just that hair alone makes me swoon and with that suit...he's just so handsome haha. Man, I wish they would have the male leads put their hair up like that and not have their bangs down all the time which hides their whole facial features.
Halfway through the show and I already rated this 10 (which I rarely do, like a handful out of 500+ drama record) because it's that great!!!! This might not have a lot of views but the quality definitely deserves a bigger stage and audience! I've never really seen anything like this before in more than 10 years of watching. A big plus for switching the gender roles: female lead as the leader (or politician) and *read spoiler*......
Thank you for being so open and sharing your thoughts and feelings and bringing comfort to those who are experiencing…
You explained it very well -- the loss of a person through suicide. And you definitely hit the nail on the head about me being confused as to why I got affected by somebody who I don't personally know and a celebrity at that. I've never been an avid fan of anything or anyone, but because what happened was suicide and my first writings were about that topic including other taboo topics (I studied journalism), it really got me thinking to say the least. Looking back, I realized that I knew nothing about suicide back then and even felt ignorant when I remember that paper I wrote as I was so opposed to that action (I still am but with a different perspective) and somehow criticized the people who committed or tried it. You're welcome and thank you as well for giving me some answers and/or comfort.
