💯 I don’t blame Jae Pil either. It’s the mystery behind his perspective. I hope they finally reveal more. They’ve done well with most other characters. Unless he dies or something, and this is other people’s perspective of him.

Right. They are written perfect for them imo. Always saying and doing right things! At least one of these ship must sail.

Acting. The character is supposed to appear so much richer to the other characters after being adopted by the ceo woman.

5-6+ pairing options when only 3 sail; huge risk. Doomed to have half the audience disappointed at the end.

Anyway, after this episode, the two consistent unsailed ships I support now, are Young Sik and Jong Hee along with Young Rye and Jeong Hyeon.

Friendship to lovers can be cute too. I just don’t like the lack of Jae Pil’s perspective post-time jump, if he is supposed to be the 1st male lead. I’m still waiting to be won over by them because I really like friendship to lovers trope tbh.

Jong Hee deserves Young Sik’s consistency. Same with Young Rye and Jeong Hyeon.

I now believe, these are the two best ships that haven’t sailed.

It would be so unique if both stay friends with JaePil, ending up with their second male leads

but this is still a kdrama, so I just hope Young Rye’s second male lead will be okay

Ok JaePil and YoungRye, story-wise, not sure yet, they’re still in limbo, but chemistry-wise, I’m not getting any romantic feelings from JaePil. It’s still friendly and surface level. Now I’m rooting for them to stay friends and for her to end up with Jeong Hyeon. They’ll have to convince me now after a 7 year time jump, if they are in fact going that route.

time jumps usually center around romantic interest reunions, but I love how the buildup is between the two female leads

I’m leaning more towards her reading the mangunrok, as the reason he’s there, since that part we actually saw.
