Only have second lead syndrome when the character has more chemistry AND is written to be more compatible relationally with the lead. However second lead syndrome mindset, just because, is a psychological habit of rooting for the underdog.
No, Myung Gi never acted out of character. He was always selfish. It's because of external pressure, he wanted…
You’re right. I just meant the trajectory of where his character was moving in. His goal was looking for the mother of his baby. All of a sudden they just had him shoot someone without checking who was even there first, and then from their downward spiral to the point of dangling his own baby over a cliff just felt dramatic for the sake of it. I never saw him as that level of selfish. They showed signs of him wanting to be better. He should’ve been doing the things Gi Hyun did for the baby. The bait and switch to regression was very disappointing.
Completing the last 3 episodes of Squid Game is difficult. Creators didn’t think of Gi Hyun, Myung Gi, and the detectives character roles near the end.
Right now it feels like they’re giving Gi Hyun Myung Gi’s role, Myung Gi acting out of character (edit: I know he was selfish, just not to the extent of certain decisions the creators took him to, like unnecessarily dangling his own baby over a cliff? I never saw him as that type of person), and things are just falling in the detectives lap with no agency.
All the other characters story arcs have been compelling.
Both Woong and Yumi have character development throughout the story. It's part of story telling.
They actually learned from their mistakes. Woong realized the reason his relationship didn't work with Yumi was because he prioritized hiding his weaknesses from her than being open and honest. Yumi wasn't jealous or petty and trusted her next partner in season 2, until her trust was broken and she couldn't trust him anymore.
At this time ... moving here would be more detrimental for anyone that is not Caucasian. The hate here for ALL…
This is insane. So much miss information and extremist beliefs in this post. Complete misrepresentation of what it's actually like to live in the U.S. There is good and bad areas in all states it's not black and white. Most people on both sides of politics are not racist or bigoted. In fact most of us are fatigued from politics actually.
Why are people acting like this is her first comeback after she was cancelled, when she already did "Eve" after…
that was already in the works at that time, doesn't count as a comeback, she was still getting backlash back then as more people found out about what she did in the past
