Wow. I am surprised at all of the negative comments... I loved it. Was it predictable? Sure. That is the type of drama it is. If I want suspense, mystery, and a twist ending, I would not be watching a romcom. lol. Cliches are cliches for a reason. They ring true. People love them. If I didn't like this dynamic, I wouldn't watch Asian romcoms. I love adorable leading ladies. I love a broody leading man. I was 100% shipping the lead couple. I am too heartbroken when I ship the second lead and am disappointed. This one happens to be in my top 5 favorite Japanese dramas. I hate watching on Kissasian. Anyone have an alternate site to watch it on? I need something I have seen before to watch while I am doing a painting project. I think I am ready to watch this one again.
Love the storyline, I love how Chuyu wasn't a weakass character in both her first and second character. And Rong…
I agree that he looks so much older than 19. I might have guessed 25-30 range. Wow. I do not care for Rong Zhi as the romantic lead. I am at ep 50 and I know it is not going to happen, but I half hoped she would end up with Shen Yu(I thought they had nice on screen banter and I thought that it would be an interesting surprise twist) or even the court astrologer(he does seem to have a thing for her). For Que Yu, I hoped for the Deputy Gen... and that is obviously not happening now. For the General I hoped for the Dr... but that ending happily is getting less and less likely by the minute. lol. At this point, I will be happy if they can give at least Chu Yu and Rhong Zhi a happily ever after.
They were vague asf with that. I'm assuming it helped keep her separated from him for the 3 yrs, so the cycle…
I need to go back and find the episode that the shamaness gives her the charm, to listen more carefully to the wording she uses, when talking about the charm.
I enjoyed it, but I am still a bit confused. What exactly was the charm for? Did it get used? It seemed like every time she needed it, it was Not on her person. Did it blow away because it had already done the job... and they are good to start over? Or was it blowing away a bad thing ... and is this a cycle that will start over when he falls for her again?
This drama is great, so far. Same reason everyone likes it. The flow of events has been really natural. I am a little worried about objections to the relationship by friends and family, when it becomes public... After the police station scene, I imagine that will be coming up quickly.
Anyone know what the opening song is called and who is singing it? So far, I have only found it on youtube and they are just calling it Untouchable Lover's Opening Song. Ideally I would like to find a video of the song with lyrics in pinyin.
Are you asking which one plays the lead role or are you asking who gets the girl? Gu Hye Seon was replaced by Jang Hee Jin due to a health issue somewhere around episode 3. - main sympathetic role Uhm Jung Hwa's - main main bad girl...
Lee Kyung Soo and Kang Tae Oh are both leading men, in their own way.
Is anyone else shipping Deputy General Wang with Qing Yue? I think he is cute with her. It feels like the writers are hinting in a different direction though :( I want to ship the General with the Doctor, but... I feel like there is a 99% chance he does not have good intentions.
Ok so who here has seen the latest episodes raw (until 50)? I regretted watching them as I am very confused now…
Where did you watch the raw episodes? The suspense is killing me. I don't know if I can take her being set up as a spy.... again. I do not know Chinese, but if I can see she is still alive and living happily in later episodes, I will be able to watch the rest of the drama cheerfully knowing it will turn out well.
Really enjoying this drama. I am rooting for the couple but have been on the fence about how well I like Rong Zhi from the beginning. I have been afraid he is nothing but a heart-breaker. I am hoping that they are able to tie this up well. The only thing, other than the lead couple, tying the first and second half together is the masked man... so if the story the writers have come up with to explain his motivations, will make or break the overall drama. I am currently watching on viki and very happy that it is being subbed so quickly.... although, today the new episode is sitting on 5% and it is driving me crazy. Must know how she got out of her latest near death situation.
Yes, OSTs matter! I really hate sad dramas and if I sniff a tragic ending coming up, I sometimes drop the drama. In the same way that sad songs suggest a separation or a tragic end, those Love songs that make me feel like the couple was always meant to be together/end up together sometimes help me hang in there through the trials/obstacles/separations. There are so many changes, it is almost not recognizable as a version of Itazura Na KISS. Maybe partially because I expecting it to follow the original more closely, it took me a while to become invested in the character. I started being more interested in it about episode 10. I am about 1/2 way through now.
