someone who thought that she was related to the accident that caused him to give up on his career and never checked on him. and even worse he thought she forgot him, yet he treated her with so much respect. despite he had inner conflicts, he held back. he tried to understand her numerous times. he knew his boundaries not to grab her by the collar, nor to bark at her forcing her to demand explanations.

meanwhile the other one disrespected her with all the awful words he said to her. wtf was "leeching off of your family"?!!! what did she ever do wrong to him for her to hear that? all she did was confessed once (she already apologized) and helped him once (he already paid it back WITH INTEREST). even if he felt offended because of that and he thought she was just a privileged brat with no conscience, or even if he thought she was a psycho, what made him feel he had the right to judge her? SML misunderstanding situations couldn't be worse than the ML.

both ML and SML had some misunderstandings about the FL. but there was a hug gap on how they handled it.

that's make sense. the cash flow in his company is currently pretty tight.

the so called revenge from the ML isn't that scary like it sounds. he was still respectul imo. he even helped her several times. he only put her under his radar. it wasn't intense. I guess he was only trying to understand her. rather than intense hard times it was more like he was sulking and complaining. even when he had inner conflicts and struggled to understand her he still cared for her and he was being gentle.

he isn't like the typical male lead who forced himself to the FL. he's actually a softie although he's a little naughty sometimes. 😉 but he's not literally wicked. I don't think it's something to be worried about. ♥️

when his staff told him that Lin yusen's private life is interesting to dig, the look on mr. nie's face was like "GOTCHA! 💡"

and a moment later when he realised hat most likely it was his baby girl they were talking about. he looked like he was about to shed tears of blood.

but now I'm seriously wondering, what do you think mr. nie is afraid the most? that ML is going to snatch his only daughter or the thought that Lin is after his money?

before this, I thought among the trash of the trash that can't be recycled, at least mr. nie was sensible enough not drag the moonlight's daughter to every party because his daughter didn't like it. but that was based on what the little snake assumed.

because all this time, mr. nie was fully aware that lin yusen had been picking on him because of the little snake that somehow related to his accident. that was why he didn't dare to bring her to the party anymore. I doubt it was for the sake of xi guang. because if he was really sensible enough, he wouldn't let the presence of such unnecessary people to bother her in the first place.

absolutely yes. this drama pull me up from my drama slump. for months I had no mood to watch dramas or even to discuss about it. I tried but nothing really sparked my interest.

the pace works just fine with me. I'm a simple person, if the drama can make me cry then it's good imo. because that means it has succeeded to make me invested in the story.

for me what really influence me the most wether I enjoy it or not is my mood. even if the genre is my cup of tea, or it starred by my favourite actors, if I'm not in the mood I'm never going to force myself to watch it. and I think experience also plays important role. I feel deeply engaged to this because I relate to what the characters had been through.

it's just that this drama happens to be on the same wavelength with me right now. if I wach it another time, Idk, I might have different opinion.

if you don't enjoy this that's normal. don't ever waste your time forcing yourself to watch something just because many people enjoy it. sometimes I find a trash on what people call it as a masterpiece too. and that's okay. that doesn't mean my taste is superior than anyone or anything. I mean we can rant and share our criticism right? and sometimes I find a treasure on what other call as a trash.

at first I was frustrated too like why don't I get it, why don't enjoy it like they do. but some fellow MDLers also shared the same thing. and after talking to them, it's just best to follow my mood. watch what I want to watch. if I'm not in the mood, so be it not watching anything at all.

agree! even without him knowing the truth, they're already getting closer. now that the misunderstandings are uncovered, it's just about time the make it official 🤭

I guess he felt guilty for what he did to her at the beginning. he kinda blamed her in his head for what happened to his hand at some point. it gave him a huge blow that he was targeting the wrong person. moreover she's someone he cares about.

I keep dreaming about them it's not healthy

the presence of those inferior than him makes himself feel better. in his social circles, he's surrounded by people more powerful than him coming from old money. even his ex wife is more respectable than him. he's getting used to at people looking down at him. and then came fellow country bumpkins who looked at him like a savior. it gave him a sense of satisfaction that someone's looking up to him. around them, he feels needed and useful.

he actually hates their guts. they're wasting his money and have low tastes. while he values money and social status. however providing for them feeds his ego. so he keeps doing that.

apparently he really doesn't keep them for "pleasure" like what people around him thought of them. he keeps them around to boost his ego. because they're pathetic and it makes him feel better around someone lower than him. something that he doesn't get from his social circles, even he doesn't get it from his family.

in his silly little mind, he must be thinking that he deserves a nobel award for sheltering people in need.

please please make it happen. 😂 Rong wouldn't stand a chance to breath near Chris. Chris doesn't play with a snake like rong. rong would realise how pathetic she's 😂

that's totally true. human interactions can be complicated because people who look good in general, it doesn't guarantee that they're good in a relationship.

he had prejudices against rich people I guess. and he was clouded by misinformations about xiguang spread by Rong through his little brother. that's why he acted as if XG was his enemy or something. because he thought she was just toying him. but even when he already knew that she wasn't like that, he didn't handle it well.
