Fa had already parted ways with Ajin by the end of Season 1, season 2 picks up quite a while later it even jumps 6 months after Ajin meets Plengpin. I think bright’s cameo was just to hint that Anya has some connection to the enigma organization, not that he’s actually involved in the main plot, since the director already confirmed that only Anya’s character is coming back from season 1.

I think season 2 happens some time after season 1, cause that article about Anya and Ajin was already shown in the last ep of season 1. They were still dating then and now they're already exes

I think people have been expecting it to air around mid-year because it lines up with what the staff, win, and toey have been saying. and the season 1 rerun is also kinda indicating that season 2 it's really about to air
