Title The Last Empress Spoiler
Never have I been so invested in a drama like I was for The Last Empress. I was only intrigued by the Korean Empire…
I also wanted more of Wang Sik story but the truth is that he would have died anyway and Sunny knew about it and I kind of believe that even if he didn't die that way and be forgotten, with his personality he would have probably exiled himself to die.

so meaning to say the romance in this drama is not that heavy, am i right?
It was in the beginning, but after she discovers that LH betrayed her I feel like the drama focused more on the schemes. Even thought most people think NWS and Sunny should be a couple and that they were in love, in my opinion she liked him but not in a romantic way, she was nice to everyone (except those who did her wrong), and she was in debt to him., as for him I think he actually liked her but the writers didn't developed the romance between them.

Title The Last Empress Spoiler
Unlike most of the people I saw commenting I actually really enjoyed the ending.
The fact that she didn't end up with anyone was an important factor, she couldn't maintain a relationship with LH and being with NWS would have been ridiculous since she didn't developed any kind of romantic feelings for him despite looking as he was falling in love with her, and also he would have died anyways, it was a doomed relationship.
She was one of the strongest female lead that I've seen in a while although she is a really kind person (which sometimes for female to be strong they tend to be mean or less approachable). Everyone paid for the crimes they committed and LH finally understood the consequences of his actions so I am happy.

These last live-action movies that I've seen so far have been quite a delight to see. This year they have improved a lot in CGI movie fights. The problem that will always be the length that animes/manga have which make it kind of impossible to satisfy everyone with the plot they decide to put into a less than 2 hours movie. I actually dropped the anime but I was hooked by the movie and I am pondering to re-watch the anime.

This drama is not BL but their acting make fan crazy cuz their eyes full of love. lol :D Anyway did they dubbed…
It is the real voice for the main cast but some times I don't know if it's due to background sound or sound issues while filming it seems like they add dub line over their voices, and some actors with smaller time screen seemed to be dubbing, but I could be wrong.

Despite all those bad CGI, cringy moments, bad acting from some secondary actors, some bad voice dubbing yet those two main actors are carrying this drama with their great performance, even if they couldn't make the drama as a BL due to chinese regulations in their acting you can feel it. I am enjoying this drama and when watching the worst parts of it I take it as it is meant to be funny, making it even more enjoyable to watch.

Nice first article.
I got addicted to this drama, this narcissistic trait of the male lead gives a different vibe comparing to other rich, arrogant and mean lead. I also enjoy the chemistry between leads, and I can't wait for Lee Seo Yeon to show his real colors (it's like I could sense is bad personality although I hope I'm wrong).

I really enjoy korean variety shows. The first one that I watched was ep Yeongdong Expressway Song Festival of Infinity Challenge because I saw a clip of GD and Taeyang in it and since I liked them and it looked funny I started watching it. Now I can't miss an episode of Infinity Challenge, Knowing Brothers, Running Man and this new season of I can see your voice. I saw some episodes of King of mask singer and Sister Slam Dunk.

I have seen both the anime and the live action and I really liked it. I was afraid that they would focus in some aspects that are important to the anime but would grow unnecessarily the length of the movie like the relationship of Wiry and Ed, Riza and Mustang story and some other characters, it would have deviate the plot from the quest of returning Al's body, which for me is the most important and I think they achieved it. That way they managed to keep what was important and leave a window of explanations and more understanding of other characters for the upcoming movies (if they make another).

That was so funny. When I have to tell my bf what I am watching (he doesn't watch asian dramas, only by force), I use that kind of method, to make them more appealing. I told him Seirei no Moribito plot trying to make it similar to Lord of the Rings.

I really enjoyed both of the dramas. I have to say that I think the Goblin built a better background to Kim Shin that's probably why you enjoyed him more as in the Bride of the water god it was as if they gave more importance to Yoon So Ah story. Although I really enjoyed the Goblin, there was a moment that I found myself forced to watch some episodes as I thought the story wasn't going anywhere, so overall I enjoyed more the Bride of the water God as the story was kind of light and refreshing (or it could be my mood when I watch it that made me enjoy it more). I really liked the thought of comparing those two dramas since in the recommendations tab they were already marked as similar despite being different.

well before I read this article I actually saw a synopsis that was to long and I gave up on that drama. Most of the times when a drama is talked a lot I will read the comments to see what it is all about, but when it comes to "unknown" dramas I give a lot of importance to it's synopsis and the cover, so if those both are unappealing I won't watch. I could also relate to other of your problems like the country, generally it has been difficult to me to find some thai movie/dramas that I want to watch (but I found a few that I really enjoyed) and I also don't like cliché plotlines (although sometimes I am open to some exceptions).
It's always nice to see how others pick their dramas to watch, it was a nice article to share each others methods, so keep up with these nice articles.

I really liked this article. Now I actually have another mindset of some of the dramas mentioned that I wanted to watch but I kept postponing it. Can't wait for your next article, great job.
