The concept of the organization itself doesn’t bother me, I get what they’re going for. But I just started ep 2 and I’m honestly pretty confused by the sets, and especially how the classroom is portrayed.
The whole “gang” group in uniforms, acting aggressively, even touching the teacher and yelling at the professor… it feels like a bit much. I can accept a couple of disruptive students, that’s realistic, but an entire class behaving like that? That’s really pushing it. We’ve all been to school, and yeah there’s always that one problematic group, but not on this level. It just needs some balance.
I know it’s adapted from a webtoon, but still, an adaptation should ground things a bit more in reality.
And also, teachers could realistically just refuse to teach or suspend the class in those conditions, so I don’t really get why they just keep going through it. They could also expel students if it’s that extreme… I don’t know, it just feels off.

Okay, so I kept seeing a lot of controversial takes about this drama, with people claiming that it promotes and justifies violence. Honestly, I've only watched Episode 1 so far, but I don't really agree with that interpretation.
From what I've seen, the people being targeted aren't innocent. You have a corrupt father and a spoiled son who acts like he's above everyone else. Whether people like it or not, that kid got someone killed. The drama isn't presenting him as some harmless victim.
People keep saying, "You don't respond to violence with violence," and sure, that sounds nice in theory. But when the system itself is corrupt, what exactly are people supposed to rely on? Justice? Because in reality, justice doesn't work equally for everyone. More often than not, people with money and influence are the ones who get away with EVERYTHING (hello Epstein files)
I also think it's easy to take the moral high ground when you've never personally been affected by a serious injustice. Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that a lot of people saying these things have never lost someone they cared about because the system failed them. It's easy to stay neutral when you're looking at a situation from the outside. I'm usually a pretty neutral person myself, but if something like that ever happened to you or someone you love, I can almost guarantee you wouldn't be speaking about it in the exact same way.
And whenever someone says, "There must be a better way," I genuinely want to know what that way is. I'm open to hearing it.
plus honestly, just look at what's happening around the world. We all know of ongoing wars and conflicts where innocent people are suffering every day. Do people genuinely think what's happening is moral? Most would probably say no. Yet what are those in power doing about it? nothing. That's exactly why so many people lose faith in institutions and in the idea that justice will eventually prevail on its own.
the message I've taken from the ep 1 so far is simple: don't do to others what you wouldn't want done to yourself. So for everyone asking, "What lesson does this teach?" here's one right there. It's such a simple, obvious lesson that even a child could understand it and learn something from it....

Nothing worked for me here: the acting felt robotic, the chemistry was nonexistent, and everything came across as bland and painfully boring. POB has been a disappointment for me. I expected a serious political drama with tension and high stakes, but it feels much more like a light historical slice-of-life with a strong comedic focus. The pacing is very slow, the plot became predictable after episode 12, and many scenes feel unnecessarily stretched out. I also struggled with the characters, who often lack depth and don't really feel like people living in a royal court. The romance hasn't worked for me either due to the limited development and lack of chemistry between the leads. It often feels like the same conversations and interactions are repeated over and over without adding anything new to their relationship, which made their dynamic feel stagnant rather than evolving. My biggest issue is probably the marketing/tagging, as the drama feels far more like a comedy/slice-of-life than a political drama.i would rate it around 6.7/10.

don't waste your time. I dropped it at episode 20 because I just couldn’t do it anymore. The show started off engaging and like it was building up to something. Only for it to become a boring and repetitive slice-of-life comedy with sprinkles of political intrigue. I thought the leads’ chemistry would save it for me based on GIFs I saw on here, but seeing the actual moments happening on screen was underwhelming.
I am at ep 5 first half and I have dropped this drama no chemistry in the leads they are both toxic red flags…
Imo, that's exactly what I've been saying + The acting is so over-the-top and exaggerated that it's hard to take seriously. People will still call you a "hater" for saying it though, so watch out the fanatics are probably coming for you next.... For me, this is the kind of drama you'd show to kids. At this point, the target audience seems more like 8–12 year olds. 🤷♀️
