Hello, I was wondering how this ends. I was watching this, but then Viki stopped subtitling it after 16 episodes I believe. I'm so sad. I need to know how it ends.

Review The Eternal Love Spoiler
The only thing that doesn't make sense:
- What will happen to their baby, that they left behind in Dong Yue? Will they go back for him?
- Why does the 1st Prince look so much like his grandfather? Could that be why he disappeared for so long? He reincarnated himself as his grandson to grow up along side his best friend?
- It's very vague about the Qu Tribe and how Xiang Tan was the only woman in her tribe? Also how did the Qu family descend from her tribe? Did they not know?

I hope you enjoyed my review.

Review The Eternal Love Spoiler
Qu Xiao Tan, while in Qu Tan'er's body falls in love with the 8th Prince. Several dramas unfold such as dealing with Qu Tan'er's crazy parents, and half sister, as well as the 8th Prince's grandmother and cousin. Throughout the drama, Xiao Tan and 8th Prince's bond grows close, While Qu Tan'er and the 1st prince falls apart (because her body is married to 8th Prince). It was cute to watch 8th Prince and Qu Xiao Tan fall in love w/ each other because the 8th Prince doesn't trust her at first.

They go throuh several "arcs" of dealing with the enemies.
- First 8th Prince has to deal with 1st Prince, because 1st Princess and Qu Tan'er were childhood sweethearts. 8th Prince constantly provokes 1st Prince about not taking what belongs to him - also fighting each other for the throne and crown prince position.

- Then 1st Princess Consort (Qu Tan'ers sister) is constantly trying to kill Tan'er so that the 1st prince can focus on her, and focus on winning the throne.

- 8th Prince's cousin is super in love with him, "Princess Zhao Qing Yun", she's the Empress Dowager's favorite niece. After being awarded for his duties, Empress Dowager arranges from Qing Yun to become a Princess Consort to order to help 8th princess secure the throne. Which doesn't work because Princess Consort also gets in trouble for trying to kill Xiao Tan, and then later dies because 1st Princess Consort trying to kill Xiao Tan, but ends up killing Princess Qing Yun.

1st prince also plots with Minister Qu to win the throne. Eventually the 1st Prince becomes crown prince, but because he plotted with the Demon King's followers they later "possess" him and make him do crazy things like rebel and capture the Emperor. After that arc is solved, we learned that the First Emperor of Dong Yue did not want 8th Prince to be Emperor/Crown Prince because he only had 25 years to live, and then he'd die.

This later takes us to the spirit world, in which we find out 8th Prince was actually an immortal that died from casualty of war in the hands of Qu Xiang Tan (Q Xiao Tan is her reincarnated). The King (Of the Mo Tribe) was so upset about losing his friend that he preserved his spirit, and then later put his spirit into his grandson's body = the grand is 8th Prince. This is why he ends up favoring his 8th Grandson. The King of the Mo Tribe is also the same actor that plays the 1st Prince, so I think it's cute that his grandsoms looked like him and his best friend.

In the end, Qu Tan'er dies because their souls at split when 1st Prince (under the control of the Demon King) splits them. Qu Tan'er sacrifices herself to save Xiao Tan. 1st Prince also breaks free from the spell once seeing Qu Tan'er die in front of him, and also sacrifices themselves. I guess they end up together in the afterlife. Now Xiao Tan is no longer sharing her body with someone else.

It's later revealed that although Mo Lian Cheng was reborn as the 8th prince, he is sick and dying. They try to find ways to heal him, but the only way is to use the "eternal" springs which happens to be where the Demon King was sealed. So the only way to use the spring was to sneak in but they are discovered and end up having an epic battle. In the end the Demon King is slayed, and for a brief moment the couple is sharing a relief from winning the battle but is later sucked into different portals. Xiao Tan wakes up the in the antique bed from the beginning of the series, and wonders if it's a dream but sees a bright light and out pops Mo Lian Cheng in modern form.

The series ends up with the two embracing in the modern world, watching the sunset and hints of a Season 2 is revealed. :)

This movie is really amazing , it makes you laugh and cringe at the same time, definitely must watch, now in struggling…
I watched one before, "It's not easy being king." It has a young/new cast like this (I wasn't familiar w/ anyone). It's comedic like this one, but that premise was a King and a maid ends up switching bodies. The maid is also "out of time" and is super vulgar like Xiao Tan. But the ending was mehhh

Title The Eternal Love Spoiler
Spoilers up until Episode 16 (below)
I am now 16 episodes in. I initially didn't think that I'd like this show because I am not familiar w/ the cast. However, they cast has grown onto me. I didn't think the main female lead was that cute, but her acting is versatile. Does anyone know if that's her real voice I'm watching on Viki? If so, she's great at acting (I don't understand/speak chinese) but she goes from wild Xiao Tan to gentle and submissive Qu Tan with ease.

Up to Episode 16, 8th prince has married a 2nd princess consort, his annoying ass cousin. She's one of those crazy girls that loves a guy so much, she can't take no as n answer. I beleived she pushed Empress Dowager to get them married, because Empress Dowager favors the 8th Prince and the Princess. She's so crazy that she plotted to have Xiao Tan killed at a theatre. However, 8th prince shows up and takes an arrow through the chest and ends up bedridden. Empress Dowager tries to kick Xiao Tan out of the house, but 8th Prince wakes up and tells her to GTFO! Xiao Tan, Qu Tan and 8th Prince lure out the true culprits of the assassins and puts on a huge revealing tell-all of Madame Qu's (Qu Tan'er's step mom) plot to get rid of the 8th Prince, and even expose her of having a lover! HA. She ends up killing herself, so that 8th Prince and Xiao Tan can't punish their entire family. Now Qu Tan'er's older sister (Crown Princess) is probably coming for blood.

They haven't revealed much about the "soul supression orb" yet, but hint that Xiao Tan might be the "owner" of this orb.

Xiao Tan and Qu Tan have figured out how to switch bodies w/o falling asleep/hitting her head. But to "lie." So they pretty much lie and the other soul comes out, or becomes "active."

Qu Tan, also tries to cut off all ties with the 1st Prince (now Crown Prince) because he used her as a decoy to become the crown prince, because 8th prince should have been picked. 1st prince is still hopelessly, hung up over Qu Tan, even though he receives opposition from his wife (Qu Tan's sister).

In Episode 16, Crazy 2nd princess consort cries to Empress Dowager about how 8th princess and Xiao Tan treat her unfairly. So Empress Dowager throws a wine-tasting party to bring everyone together to reconcile 2nd Princess Consort w/ 8th Princess & Xiao tan. Of course, Qu Pan'er (Qu Tan's sister) plots to poison Xiao Tan's wine by toasting. Xiao Tan rejects it and says she's sick, so she refuses to drink it. 2nd Princess Consort tries to "reconcile" with Xiao Tan by taking the drink in her place and dies. Qu Pan'er is thrown into dungeon by Empress Dowager.

Plot is moving prety fast.

Omg! I'm viet too! But I understand Cantonese as well so I didn't need dub. Yea. I miss this drama so much too.…
That really scares me to know. I think I'll just want to watch Michael only!

Have you watched any other remakes? Hu Ge's one looks interesting because the cast.

You're so lucky! I really wish I could understand Cantonese, watching TVB and ATV dramas would have been so easy for me. My mom used to buy the the dvd's, but now everyone has websites for dramas. lol.

I totally agree, TVB hasn't had many great dramas in a while. Have you seen the new LOCH? Did you know Michael Miu (Yang Kang) plays the new Eastern heretic??! I really want to watch it, but I can't find it subbed anywhere.

I wasn't even born when this Drama came out, but it was one of the first dramas I've ever watched. My mom would buy these old TVB boxsets that were dubbed into Vietnamese, and I remember how amazine LOCH was. Barbara Yung is such an amazing actor.

Everytime I hear the themesong, I just get so excited.

I'm currently watching this and I'm wondering how this will end out. I wonder if Qu Tan Er will get driven out or what, especially since the discussions say there's a child.. did Qu Tan Er just wake up and suddenly she's preggo, and she just goes with it?

As of ep 14:Very mixed feelings about this . It’s really fun to watch and I really like most of it, but it’s…
Thanks for the little review. I'm on episode 8 and I'm just curious if they'll solve the mystery of how Xiao Tan (the modern soul) gets put in this kingdom.

After reading these positive reviews abt this drama, should I watch it ?
I'm watching it right now, I'm on episode 8. It's really etertaining SO far. It's funny because of the two different personalities that are in this one body, and no one else besides the maid seems to notice how different they are with each other.

I'm no where near the end, but so far I'm enjoying it. I hope that they will tell us how Xiao Tan (The modern soul) came to this period. I watched "It's not easy being King" where the king and a chef switches body, and it was a mindf*ck when it got to the end and explained what had happened. O_O

I agree, with your review. Why in the world would Bei Wei Wei not KISS back when such a handsome man is kissing her hehe.

The actor that played Er Xi, Mao Xiao Tong, I saw her in Princess Weiyoung (also a goodie), and she was evil asfk. I think I watched Princess Weiyoung before Love 020 and when I saw her in this drama, I almost wanted to hate her. But she's so innocent and nice in here. I'm glad she ended up with Cao Guang. They're so cute together.

I also wanted to know what was up with KO and Mr. Beautiful! They were definitely hinting at a romance!

Title The Young Warriors Spoiler
The crazy love triangles in this drama is driving me crazy. LOL. It's like everytime I turn around there's a new…
LOL Ohhh. No I saw Yang Saga when I was really really young. My mom has boxsets of the TVB dramas they dubbed into Vietnamese. When I was younger, I didn't realize the dramas I was watching was actually Chinese, or historical so I never paid attention lol. But I wish I could rewatch the Yang Saga as well!

I read online that there are different variations of what happened to the Yangs. Supposedly 6th son could have been 1st son in reality. I'm going to look for the chinese drama you mentioned, hopefully I can find it!

I guess 4th son had two love triangles? Pan Bao liked Cecilia Liu's character, that's why he ended up dying because Pan Bao and Pan Ran Me challenged the Yang's to a duel, but 4th son was injured and 7th son jumped in and defended his brother and critically injured Pan Bao. And I guess in the end 4th son lost his memory and ended with Princess of Liang, but Cecilia Liu never believed he died because his body wasn't ever found. I really hated that ending. That's so sad!

Because you only care when roles are casted by a "white" actor, never the other way around. While this instance…
Even though it is a Disney animated film becoming live action, Mulan is suppose to be Chinese. I think it's amazing that Disney is doing this, considering their TV show "Once Upon a Time" has changed Cinderella into a afro-hispanic woman! I love that they're getting more diversity.
