I am reading the synopsis, so is Zhang Feng the flame villas son? Because it says Anye Lou switched the babies?
I was reading on Wikipedia, it sounds like Zhang Feng is biological son of Lie Ming Jing, and Ru Ge is suppose to be the daughter of the Zhang family, but they got switched, probably to create animosity between the two best friends, and their families. I'm guessing they were going for the Guo and Yang family from Legend of the Condors, and have their kids grow up to besties/get married, but Anye Lou was whispering sweet nothings into Zhang Feng's ears, making him think that Lie Ming Jing killed his father.
I'm only episode 8 right now, and I initially thought Ru Ge was Lei Jing Hong's half sister, but I guess her maid is the long-lost sister. I wonder if "Uncle Zhang" is really alive and comes back?
I'm watching the Flame's Daughter (ep 8), and OMG. This show is going to make me have ulcers (whatever happens in C-Drama's when you get TOO angry) LOL. I want to slap Zhang Feng for being so callous "just because" he's trying to get revenge, and for also being a hypocrite!

great drama but pity it´s was full of propaganda of communism...also less episodes would be better but whatever...…
I don't think the current Chinese govenrment would have allowed this movie to be made if it was pro-japanese or Pro-nationalist party. Lol. I can see if this was an American made Chinese drama they'd probably have less Communist themes. I don't know how accurate the history is but I think it's crazy there were so many different factions fighting one another + the Japanese imperialists.

I saw him in 10MPB. He had a support role but he did have an arc where he was part of the main story of that arc..it actually starred dai si, she plays the arrogant princess with the two brothers from swordless city.
Atleast it'll follow the same theme of Dilreba and Vin Zhang not ending up together lol >_
I know!!! I think on episode 2 when Ru Ge returns back with her senior brother (Prince) and Vic Chou, he was such a dick to her, and being all lovey-dovey w/ the girl from the brothel. The girl from the brothel probably thinks he really really loves her. So I am assuming, he's mind-f#$king TWO people????!?! GRRRRR
