I don't know if I am in the only one, but at times I sympathize with the villians in the drama. Minus An yelou.…
Which villains? I feel bad for the villains family member. Like I feel got Dao lie xiang forced to marry to make her brother's dream come true and give up on her passion and bring righteous.
I feel bad for Yun Xi her mom wrecked her bf's eyes and killed the person she grew up with. I'm starting to feel bad for her mom too.
Soooooo, confusing question below in the spoilers. Let me know what ya'll think/know.
What in the world with Dilreba playing 3 different roles. It'd be interesting if Yin Xue's love was an ancestor of An Ye Ming & Ru Ge. But didn't he keep saying he was waiting for 19 years? But doesn't it take 100s of years to attain his level of magic??!?

So the scene where An Ye Luo tells Zhan Feng about his "mom" who is AYL's sister.... in the flashback scene, it looks JUST like Ru Ge (past form?).
Anyways, I thought that Yin Xue was Ru Ge's past lover, if she's also AYL's sister, wouldn't that make her Zhan Feitian's wife? How does that play out?
I feel like some people misunderstand Yin Xue. He is subtle and nuanced. Maybe I am not far enough along in the…
I felt at some parts Yin Xue was a bit posessive, but he generally is doing it out of love. I felt in the episodes where they're making sesame buns, that he was a bit pushy, but I could tell it's probably due to whatever previous life Ru Ge had w/ Yin Xue (Which I'm excited to see how it unfolds).
I hate Zhan Feng too, he's a POS. He treats her like shit in the beginning, and then when her dad dies and he holds power in the sect, suddenly he cares and wants to be there for her?
I like Yu Zihan too, but I feel like he'd be Ru Ge's pity love if anything. His love is so sweet, but it's not mutual.
I've watched 5 minutes of this. It was late so I stopped. My question is how much blood is in this and also on…
I actually like It's Not Easy Being King because it's a very light hearted costume/historical drama. Not many are like that.
If you like it's not easy being king type dramas with no blood, the only other one I can think of is from Hong Kong, "Beyond the realm of conscience" and "Can't Buy Me Love." Can't buy me love is more on the funny side vs Beyond.
Gilded Chopsticks was pretty funny too. It's based on a chef during Qing Dynasty. I believe it's on DramaFever if you use that app.
I didn't take the test, but I could already tell I'm the psycho, jealous girl that doesn't "let go" when main lead tells me he's not interested. LOL. I feel bad for my boyfriend, hahaha. OH well.

I'd say give it a try. Most c-dramas have blood spitting up, sometimes I wonder how they survive those types of injuries because usually it means internal damage right?
This drama is so captivating, and addicting. I can't help but NOT watch, but I have to leave some episodes for leeway, because I don't like waiting for subs.
I am totally rooting for Ru Ge and Zi Han! Although I like Yin Xue, because he does so much for her, but I feel…
Isn't that the synopsis of the drama? She entangled with three guys, one who will break her heart, one who she can't be with, and one who she'll break his heart? 3
Are you asking about how gory it is? I thought Princess Agents the opening scene (human hunting ) was super gory.…
LOL. Maybe that person isn't used to it?! When I was a kid, my mom's friend's mom, used to chew betel nut (I think?!) and it would make her teeth and mouth red, and I always cried whenever I saw her, and my mom asked what's wrong why am I afraid. I said its because she's dying like in historical c-dramas.

Are you asking about how gory it is? I thought Princess Agents the opening scene (human hunting ) was super gory. I'm 11 episodes in, and there's not much gory scenes like Princess Agents, but a lot of blood spitting/vomiting, if that counts.
Am i the only one who did not like Yin xue? He's quite annoying and possessive. He think Ruge would choose him…
I'm on episode 11, and I'm getting that vibe from him. I feel like as the show progresses, we'll see his romantic side and actually wooing her off her feet, instead of being mysterious. Obviously, they were lovers in her previous life, and he must have waited for her to come back. But you're right. I'm at the part where Yin Xue just diagnosed the Prince Yu Zi and she's asking him "What did you do to my senior brother?" and he just grabs her and kisses her.
That's what annoys me about Zhang Feng too, he just grabs and kisses her. Girl, bite them or something.
