OMFG, I literally just finished a similar drama. The Gods of Investiture or whatever, it was sooooo corny. I wish I saw this before watching the other one.
I watched this because of all the great reviews, but it turned out to be such a disappointment. The plot is rather…
I actually thought the same thing. A lot of people suggested this drama. I thought the build-up was really good, like finding out who she is. But once we find out who is she, it was like BLAH. I did like Zong Yue and Zhan Bei Ye's storylines too!
Tavia did an amazing job here and Charmaine’s acting was just so plain compared to Tavia. What irked me about…
Totally agree. Tavia was one of those actresses that made me hate her character, but I still like her LOL.
Are you watching any current dramas? I'm watching Legend of Lu Zhen right now, and I like it because it's similar to Beyond the Realm, because it shows all the different departments inside the imperial palace. Got any similar suggestions?
I want to know where you read the chinese novels! I've always known A LOT of the Chinese Dramas that I watch are from novels, but never knew where I could read them.
Some of my favorite dramas adapted from novels are Legend of the Condor Heroes, Return of the Condor Heroes, Chor Lau Heung, and recently 10 Miles of Peach Blossoms.
YES IT IS NOW ON VIKI!!! AND IT IS ALSO TRENDING ON THERE ATM!!! IT DESERVES RECOGNITION!!!
I'm watching this on Viki too. Did this eem edited weird to you??? I was watching, and one episode the subtitles told me to skip all the way to 28 minute mark, so the episode was like only 10 minutes long?
This is awesome. I think everyone has different preferences too, so it's hard to say why people drop. I feel like sometimes, I'm TOO invested, so I can't just drop it. For example,I was watching Legend of Chusen/Noble Aspirations and just COULD not finish it, the drama was too lengthy and plot was moving super slow, and main lead just couldn't keep my attention.
I also "dropped/sort of completed" The Virtuous Queen of Han, that one was just going nowhere, I was close to the end but jus couldn't push myself to watch the remaining 5 episodes, so I just watched the last episode lol
I'll leave it to the professionals lol. I have no idea how people use Google translate, they must have impeccable listening skills.
At least with Japanese words you can listen and try pick out what you heard. But you can still hear around and they talk so fast. Chinese and Korean seem difficult, I feel like they have different tones/accents..
If anything I would sign up to be a proof reader for English subs lol
I don't think the current Chinese govenrment would have allowed this movie to be made if it was pro-japanese or…
I think the Nationalists really did exists, however, because of the Chinese government is currently communist, we will probably see that censored in dramas made now days. I believe even HK dramas will probably be more censored since it's been returned back to China.
I was watching "Chasin Dragon" with Donnie Yen and Andy Lau and it's based on a true story of a criminal and crooked cop in HK in the 70's. Looking at the treatment of British people against Chinese people in HK, I can see why China "shuts it doors" when it comes to foreigners in their countries,a nd why they "shut the door" on the world, and adopting western values/ideas.
I just finished ep 40 and I swear the drama were made out of flashbacks more than present. HAHA. To me I felt…
I haven't watched this yet, because I'm still debating. Are the flashback scenes, scenes that viewers already saw (like a montage) or flash backs to back in the day (scenes we didn't see?). I hate when dramas fill it with scenes we already saw, like hello, we didn't forget "so-and-so" got stabbed for "so-and-so." LOL
I've had a few people tell me they suggest this to me, but they also said they pretty much watched this for William. and there was romance, but it kind of lacked passion. Is it worth the watch still?
Does Zhang Feng start to develop feelings for RG after his initial hatred. I stopped watching at epi 6. I really…
He had feelings for her the entire time, but he had to keep control of it because he believed Ru Ge's father killed his father but there's a huge plot twist. After the dust settles, I think he wanted to resume things w/ her but she had fell for YX by then.
