I downloaded both TVB Viet & English subtitles apps lol. I sometimes still crave a good ol HK drama. I wish I could understand Cantonese. I'm sure that's why they dubbed over with Vietnamese because there was a lot of Chinese people living in Vietnam and when the war ended a lot of people immigrated and the market was so huge to dub into Vietnamese. LOL. When I was in Hawaii there was a lot of Chinese people that spoke both vietnamese & Chinese. I'm sure because of my mom watching dubbed c-dramas that's why my vietnamese is still pretty good.
My favorite of all time is still Legend of the Condor Heroes 1983 from TVB. I can't push myself to see the newer versions.

FOR ME (my opinion only) it was kind of draggy w/ the whole spirit possessing the body and their antics. I thought they made too many episodes of it, everyone in the drama can see that the two girls are acting quite erratic and DIFFERENCE as day/night.
Like I said in my previous comment, it only got interesting (for me) when it came to episode 30 when they found out there were two different girls with the same face. Only now that Lu Zhaoyao is wanting to reciprocate feelings back to Li Chenlan, is when I started getting interested.

I honestly started this drama ages ago, and paused it twice to watch one meh drama (switch of fate - that one sucked but idk why I kept watching) and Eternal Love of a Dream. I'm finally continuing it again. It honestly starts off slow, I'm only really getting into now that i'm on Episode 30. I started watching it for Xu Kai, mostly.
I figured I had to let go what we saw in TMOPB too! I guess the "tiger" her saved her from in the forest was changed…
I finally finished it, XD. Although I "let go" I felt the love/romance written in this drama isn't as strong as YH and BQ's, even if TMOPB was more "drama" vs staying accurate to the novel.

In the beginning i hated the recast too, especially of 4th brother & zhe yan, but I admit I grew to love them. lol. I wish they got more air time, since their antics were so funny in the TMOPB.
Oddly, I liked Wayne's part too. I wish he would have found someone better for him
My story is that when I was a kid.... (LOL). My mom used to watch Hong Kong dramas that were DUBBED in Vietnamese. We'd always have disks that ask for Vietnamese/Cambodian audio. I legit thought I was watching real vietnamese dramas until I discovered the internet and found out these were actually c-dramas. My mom would always buy the dubbed ones, but in 2014 when I moved out and finally had time after college I resumed watching w. english subtitles. If there's a good one my mom sends me, I'd watch w/ vietnamese audio.
So, is this another life or are these the events that occured during the first season?
Apparently, we're suppose to "forget" what happened during first season because the timeline is out of wack here. But the first "arc" in the mortal realm seems to be the same/more detailed of when they were in the mortal realm in TMOPB
I understand the fan's frustration's with Ji Heng's character now! I just watched this same actress in Switch of Fate (her character was annoying, but not that annoying). I don't know what went in behind the scenes, but I'm sure she wouldn't BEG for that much screen time where her character seems like a dud/weak AF.
Also, this is the first time there's no psycho crazy love stalker. Ji Heng is not the same level as Su Yin. (I'm on episode 53 and one has not appeared). I was surely thing it was Ji Heng or the adoptive sister.

But I think lost love in times (Cecilia Liu & William Chan<3) was kind of amnesia/reincarnation/alternate timeline
