I was so sad that they killed off grandma too. I knew she wasn't going to make it as soon as she went into surgery with Seo Woo's dad though. :(

Episode 13

I've only completed 3 episodes so far, but I'm very much enjoying this drama. I'm hoping that Jung Ah finds out soon about her daughter's abusive husband and makes sure she doesn't suffer at his hands any longer. :(
And Hee Ja makes me feel really sad. She's just waiting for her chance to die so she won't be a burden on anyone.

I don't know what everyone's talking about - I finally caught up and this is still a good show! They finally broke my heart at the end of episode 11 and made me cry. That look on GS's face when he rejects her confession. And the look on HIS face after she walks away! GAH!!! And when they were coming toward each other on the street and she just side steps him and keeps walking - that killed me too. You know that it's killing him that he rejected her when he obviously loves her, but I get that he's going through some major stuff right now and he also wants to keep her safe since he doesn't know who the culprit is yet. But I do like that she is taking control of her life at this point and is determined not to be run over any longer. And that she tells him that she's going to keep doing what she wants anyway. Go Gong Shim!!

I'm up to episode 8 (and you people that are caught up are scaring me!) and I am loving this show so far. I don't want any spoilers, so I'm carefully avoiding them.
But Oh My Gosh - Ahn Dan Tae has hearts pouring out his eyes for Gong Shim! He's breaking my heart when he looks at her. Please don't let me down Drama!!!

I'm just 3 episodes in, but Dan Tae is so freaking CHARMING! This is the first time I've watched these actors. And Min Ah has the cutest voice. I'm so hoping that the rest of this continues to captivate me like these first episodes have!

The first episode had me hooked immediately. Just started this last night, but didn't realize it was only half way finished. This is going to be torture!

I thought Park Bo Young did a great job when she was supposed to be Soon Ae. It almost felt like she was channeling Kim Seul Gi. Great review!

I believe they did meet. Before they never had trouble communicating because they used the translator on their texting app. When they finally meet, they have a little communication barrier as he speaks very little Japanese and she speaks fairly well in Korean. That's what I'm going to choose to believe anyway!

And I was expecting something to happen with the lady teacher, but I still jumped when it happened. They shouldn't have left us hanging on what happened when someone found her. And I am glad that it was just a doll in the tank. She might have been stone cold crazy, but at least she didn't put the baby in there.

Glad to know I'm not missing much by dropping this. I think I got about to episode 5 also before I decided I wasn't that into it.

I'm about halfway through this one now and it's really starting to amp up. I'm really glad so far that I decided to branch out from my usual style and give this one a try!

I agree with your assessment of SH. He was always a spoiled brat. He didn't set out to help Ae Ra even in the beginning. He thought she was the quickest way for him to get fired so he wouldn't have to work. But I never liked him from the beginning - I never saw him as a legitimate rival for CJW. She was a distraction for SH, but as soon as she rejected him he turned on her.
