I wish I'd have watched this one sooner when I kept reading over and over how good it was. I was still a newbie and thought it didn't sound interesting. I still had a "type" I was going for and this wasn't it. Holy cow - this was way better than I expected. I binged on this until 3 in the morning on my first watch through. My hubby even ranks this one up there as his #1 or #2 drama he's watched so far.
I loved this drama. I loved that it was more family oriented than a romance like the other two. So disappointed that Jung Pal didn't end up with Duk Soon though. I didn't think he was all that attractive at first, but he grew on me way more than Taek ever did. Seriously, did anyone else think that scene on the bus where he kept everyone from falling on her was HOT or was it just me?? :)
Ok, I can't seriously believe that anyone thought Chilbongie would end up with Na Jung. Really - she only ever had eyes for Trash Oppa. And I know that Jung Woo isn't considered traditionally attractive, but I thought he was pretty dang cute in this. (I watched You're the Best Lee Soon Shin because of him - and was disappointed that he didn't have a bigger role, but he was just as cute!) I didn't think Chilbongie's character was even developed enough to find him interesting. So were fans shipping him just because they thought he was cuter or what? My only wish is that they had done away with the "who's the husband" bit sooner and we could have seen more of Na Jung and Trash's current life together and see how they'd grown as a couple.
So cute and sexy! Developed an instant So Ji Sub crush here. I would love to see him in more cute romances like this where he gets the girl. (Master's Sun was amazing too!) He gave me all the feels when he caught that dimple kiss and then walked away. <3 <3
If Uhm Tae Woong hadn't ended up going villainous toward the end, I would have totally rooted for him all the way. The whole first half of the show I was thinking he was way cuter than the lead and actually liked her. I love the whole contract marriage plotline - one of my favorite devices - but I almost jumped ship to the second lead here! What with Mong Ryong pining over that cunning 2nd female lead - did not like her character one little bit!
8/10 I watched this for Shin DA Eun, and once again, she didn't dissappoint. Actually I might have blinkers on,…
Shin Da Eun was super cute in this! I was also sorry her story fizzled the way it did. I agree that this wasn't Seo In Guk's best role, but he's the reason I watched it. I agree about the kids - adorable!!! And I loved Lizzy also!
Really liked Ryu Soo Young in this (first time I've seen him!) - went on to watch him in Virtual Bride (Eccentric Daughter In Law). Does anyone know if that new lawyer drama with him is any good? I also really liked Lizzy in this. Did she remind anyone else of Jung Eun Ji?? I think it's partly the Busan accent. LOL! Would like to see more of her acting in the future. The actress that played MiRim was so serious - but so beautiful. Got really annoyed with the push/pull of HyonGi and In Ok towards the end though. Min Gi and Yu Ri stole this show for me! CUTE couple!!
I started watching this and only got half through the first episode. Even though her screen time was maybe like…
I think it really helped make their large age gap romance believable. If she was played any other way, she would have seemed too old for him and the whole premise of the show wouldn't have worked at all. I found her endearing after a while.
This was my first Kdrama. It'll always hold a special place. My hubby loved it even more than I did, but he's a sappy romantic. :) I love the premise of this drama also, so if anyone has any similar recs, I'd be interested. I like the marriage first, love second type shows/movies.
This movie was beautiful! I'd have liked a longer ending also, but beautiful nonetheless. It wasn't exciting, action packed, but a quiet type of developing romance.
So... I've watched 14 episodes so far and I have to ask: why is the second male lead so popular in this show?…
I agree with you! I have NO IDEA what his appeal was. I read the recaps of this drama on Dramabeans when I watched it, and the commenters there just LOVED him.
Joo Sang Wook was adorkable in this! He really made this drama for me and shines as Cha Jung Woo. (Plastic Flower! LOL) Cute cute cute drama! Didn't care for the 2nd lead guy - I thought he was too girly looking, especially next to JSW.
