I think it has to do with the Mike and TopTap drama. I believe those two were supposed to be the mls. Toptap left…
Be My Favorite was initially meant to be a KristSingto series, but Singto's contract was due to expire with GMMTV at the time and his freelance schedule didn't mesh well with Krist's, so Mike accepted the role of Pisaeng instead, and then Mike was later replaced with Gawin in September of 2022. :)

I thiiiink they said they're halfway done toward the end of the Livehouse footage yesterday? But that was judging by the auto-generated captions, so they might've said something different! I wouldn't be surprised though! All of their filming days have been at least twelve hours long, so they're getting a LOT done very quickly. And as you said, when it's KristSingto, they tend to work quickly because of past experience and that mutual trust in each other. <3
I was talking to friends last night about when The Ex-Morning might air, and we guessed that it might take the Saturday slot for Us, which ends on April 5th, and there's usually a week in between one series ending and the next beginning, so that'd make the air date April 19th, which would line up with Singto's Q1/April estimation.
Also, SOTUS and SOTUS S both aired on Saturdays! It'd be a lovely continuation. <3

I've really enjoyed how they've written Kawi's apparent comfort with his own sexuality. He seems comfortable with being queer, and if he ever struggled with it, he figured it out well before the story started.
When Not and his friends say they thought Kawi was dating Max, he just laughs it off, and when Max says he thought Kawi was uncomfortable with people thinking the same, Kawi gives a ready and unrelated explanation for why he was distancing himself from Max back in his past. (And Max later goes on to make assumptions about Pisaeng too, so we see twice that he's understandably quick to defend himself living as an openly queer student in 2013.)
He's never once showed any aversion to being queer, and it makes sense that he's comfortable with an attraction to men when you consider that he thought he was in love with Pear for twelve years and then only took however many weeks he's been messing with time to realize, "Oh, nope. Not her. Him." Considering the director (queer himself) took a whole mini-arc to show Pisaeng finally deciding to live openly, I doubt he'd glaze over the show's actual protagonist struggling with his queerness.
Even in episode 8 when they show Kawi talking to Pisaeng about the rumors that they're together, all he's saying is that he doesn't want that part of his life to be public (and Pisaeng seems to interpret it to mean that Kawi's ashamed of himself and by extension Pisaeng). It was an especially powerful scene for me considering that Krist himself had basically the same experience when he was early in his career.
It means a lot to me especially because as a Krist fan, the past three years have been genuinely traumatic because of the way interfans have behaved toward him. Just last month, he posted in support of Pride and even there he had interfans accusing him of being homophobic. It's the one thing many interfans associate him with, but that's down to their own lack of research, and it makes interfans look ridiculous, because he's been a vocal ally since SOTUS, and the "evidence" interfans use is either out of context, mistranslated, or straight up untrue. It's exhausting, and it's no wonder Krist's oldest fans don't even want to touch the subject anymore. People don't bother to research, so they spread hearsay over and over, and the worst of the worst delight in telling Krist to kill himself.
Older fans will know the story better, but after SOTUS, Krist and his girlfriend broke up very publicly, and people at the time speculated that it was because of Singto. "Fans" pushed Krist over and over to make his sexuality public, and when he finally lashed out, people put him through years of relentless harassment and accusations of homophobia, which got even worse in 2020 when interfans found out about it for the first time and treated it like something recent. He all but withdrew from social media for years and has only really seemed to enjoy being back on Twitter to promote this series.
The twin nightmares of 1) entitlement to personal information about public figures, and 2) interfans' performative need to be seen telling an actor to kill himself for his younger self's mishandling of a very private issue harmed an actual human being and sent him to four different therapists. He already struggled with depression. No one is a hero for bullying a celebrity online. It's just modernized savagery, throwing rocks at people for fun and justifying it as "activism". He's been a vocal queer ally all along, and I think with this series it's obvious that he wouldn't be here if he wasn't 110% behind the community that he himself has always proudly said raised him into who he is now.
ok I don't buy the popular theory that the crystal ball uncle is Kawi from the future, there must be another explanation
I agree. The actor who plays him even gave what he thinks his character's backstory is (that he's sort of like a guardian angel who watched over Kawi when he was a kid and then stepped away for a second and when he came back Kawi's life was in shambles), so unless that was random misdirection, it seems like he's just a supernatural ally to the queer community.
I think the second half is going to be even stronger than the first half. The director definitely knows what he's doing, and the scenes in the trailer that we haven't seen yet seem like some of the strongest acting with the most heightened emotions.
The first half did such a good job of setting up why we should care about them all, and I think the second half is going to be just total gutwrenching agony with a cathartic happy ending.
Just to quell some fears about the new characters, they're all connected to WinTeam in some way, and I don't think we need to worry about screentime division.
Wan is Win's older brother, Tul is Win's friend and Wan's love interest, View is Win's younger brother, and A, Bee, and Sea are all members of the swim club. Also, UWMA had four side couples as well and famously didn't spend much time on them. ManaowPruk and SinSorn had about six minutes combined, and WinTeam had roughly thirty-six. Only InKorn had a significant amount of screentime compared to the other three.
Win's character arc is focused on his family helping him grow in his relationship with Team, so it makes sense to focus on them. And Win and Team are both members of the swim club, so it makes sense that Between Us would expand on other members of the club more than UWMA did. In UWMA, we only really needed to know Dean, Win, and Team since Dean is one of the main characters, Win is Dean's friend, and Team is Pharm's.
It's also pretty clear from Wabi Sabi's 30-day countdown on Twitter and Instagram that the majority of the series focuses pretty closely on WinTeam.
So far, the filming schedule tends to land on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I'm guessing they'll be filming Q14-15 this upcoming Monday and Tuesday. :)
Q1: Jan 27 (Mon)
Q2: Jan 28 (Tues)
Q3: Feb 3 (Mon)
Q4: Feb 4 (Tues)
Q5: Feb 10 (Mon)
Q6: Feb 11 (Tues)
Q7: Feb 18 (Tues)
Q8: Feb 19 (Wed)
Q9: Feb 24 (Mon)
Q10: Feb 25 (Tues)
Q11: Feb 26 (Wed)
Q12: Mar 3 (Mon)
Q13: Mar 4 (Tues)
Q14: Mar 10 (Mon)
Q15: Mar 11 (Tues)
They're really making up for lost time/series. :D
