You aren't alone..totally agree with you plus I find Seo In Guk's acting lacks depth..actually everything here…
Yes! Agree that SIG's acting lacks substance and that everything is so watered down. He's just squinting his way through.

Question: is it better to watch the Japanese version first or are both pretty similar?I hear that the JP version…
The remake is a watered down version of the Japanese original.

I can't believe it's been 12 eps and we still didn't get anything beyond a "MY is the kid JG knew"... we knew…
It's not really that surprising, this drama doesn't have much to say.

So basically they confirmed they have no guts.
We can talk again when korea learns to respect source material.

So basically they confirmed they have no guts.
So why remake it if the main demographic can't take that specific element, which is crucial to the source material? Why not use korea's own original material? Does korea have to have its own butchered version of every Japanese drama out there?

It's okay. No need to bother too much about gutless k-remakes.

I'm halfway through episode 12 and i just wanna say that i'm disappointed. I find the stabbing plot so unnecessary…
Yes, it's in the Japanese version, but with better build-up.

Thank you for this article! I've been eyeing this drama, wondering if I should watch it. I usually don't like…
Maybe try the Japanese original? It's pretty slice of life, but also light-hearted.

I'm so happy for Tanaka Kei! Have always felt he was underrated, but am so glad he's gotten the recognition he deserved. Congratulations to him and to the cast and crew of Ossan's Love!

Being 'dark' does not make something 'psychologically strong' LOL This drama is NOT 'light' at all - makes me…
Dark and intense? The k-remake? Hahahahahaha. Good joke!

Yeah, the k-remake toned down the whole thing, so it's just like any average k-melodrama, with lots of squinting.…
Maybe when you've had something you really cared for destroyed by a pretender, then you'll understand how fans of J-dramas feel when seeing the source material repeatedly butchered by shitty k-remakes.

The Japanese original was thought-provoking. The k-remake is just your average k-drama.
I like it enough and found the dialogue quite intriguing at times, especially between Ryo and Kanzo.
