Nick too ... he plays the creepy little stalker very well.
I think it’s just cos he’s falling in love with Boston but trap in this strange scenerio where he has to act like he isn’t and cannot ask for more from Boston. That’ll naturally drive anyone in his position to seek every other way to find out more to satisfy all his curiosity about the person of his affection.
Is there a character or couple you particularly like watching in the show? I think Ton is it for me. Neo carried the role convincingly. I like his scenes with Mark but sometimes, I feel Mark didn’t do too well in terms of acting. I guess he’s still a relatively new actor but ya, some of his delivery felt a little flat.
What a pleasant journey these 12 weeks hv been and I can honestly say I enjoyed every single episode, which rarely ever happens with any other GMMTV shows. Everything was done just right - not too sappy but not too shallow, not too over indulgent but not too flippant either. The pacing was very good. The sequencing was well thought out. Everything about the plot kinda made sense and tied up nicely so it was satisfying. I really never expected this when I first decided to sample Episode 1 for fun. Actually, I didn’t even plan on following this series because time travel plots are done to death and I confess I wasn’t particularly taken in with any of the actors, but with each episode being consistently such a delight to watch, I was quickly won over. The strength of this show is it’s quality in all regards and I can only hope all future shows (esp BLs) aspire to this height.
This show started out really engaging and full of potential but just went downhill past the halfway point. I thought Episode 17 was especially cringey to watch because the scenes between the tied-up parents and Master Prasath were just poorly executed. The acting from quite a few of the parents esp the woman (Jingjai’s mother) was pretty bad. Then I found it rather ridiculous when Prasath untied each of them and they just quickly ran off. There wasn’t even any attempt to fight back or retaliate. Yes, you can argue that they were fearful but the way the sequence plays out makes no sense! Lol
The show’s ending suggests there might be more to come but I think this show should really wrap here.
Chimon’s Penneung was the breakout for me here. Jingjai second.
Just a quick comment: starting to notice Gawin’s acting chops here. The scene where he teared up emotionally when talking to his mother was done so well! Impressed.
Be My Favourite is really one of the best executed BLs I’ve seen. 8 episodes in and it’s still good to watch. Consistently interesting thus far with no draggy bits.
Is it just me who thought of squid games while watching some parts of the show? But of ‘cos, a far milder version, in that people in the show don’t drop like flies every single epi. Haha
I think the strength of this show is it’s relatable. Pisaeng being scared to confront his sexuality. Pear quickly latching on to someone who confessed to liking her right after being rejected by Pisaeng. Kawi just taking whatever he can get because of his low self-esteem. Even Not being an asshole as a front to hide his own insecurities. I look forward to seeing all these characters grow into wiser beings!
I only just started on Home School today and am already hooked 2 episodes in. It exceeded my expectations on all fronts! I’m curious about each characters’ background. I’m curious what the Masters will make them do next. I’m curious about the developing dynamics between each of them. I’m curious about all the potential plot twists! There were plenty to make you wanna watch on and on.
Fourth was phenomenal in Moonlight Chicken. His acting here was even better than in MSP. Perhaps it's because…
Very impressed actually by his acting in MLC. I wonder who taught him to act or is he just a natural. But he surprised me with his portrayal, right down to the little nuance of his character. That said, I felt he didn’t do so well with the 2 epis of Our Skyy -MSP. Could also be cos it was bit of a miscast.
And I like Neo’s portrayal of him.
