I wasn’t planning on watching this series but out of boredom, sampled the first episode. Ended up finishing it. It was pretty good and I later found out why - it’s by the same director who brought us Gifted. Anyways, to be honest, when it comes to Krist, I’ve always had low interest but I have to say, his acting here was good - better than many in the GMMTV stable for sure. Gawin is probably the other reason why I’ll somehow continue watching every week! lol

I found Vice Versa to be such a drag to watch though.

Also, random but the very nice green-white jacket/windbreaker Gun was wearing made an appearance again, this time on Tinn! I really love it! Wish I know where its from!

The concept was more interesting than the end product unfortunately. I was so looking forward to two more bonus episodes of My School President but found this lacking, to be honest. It does little except to rehash what we have already seen but with the roles reversed. Even with the “twist”, it still felt kinda stale to me. I mean, I imagine we could otherwise be getting new TinnGun & gang plots even if it was fantasy-like. But alas!
Another thing this instalment of Our Skyy made me realise is that I’m so glad the original casting was Fourth as Gun, the punk leading Chinzhilla and Gemini as Tinn, the school president.
I really felt like they weren’t as suited the other way around. I might not have grown so into them if this were the casting in the original series. The same can be said about Ford & Mark. Just my own thoughts.

Ever since the series was announced at the GMMTV event some two years ago, I took little interest in it and had no intention of watching it. I’m unfamiliar with the actors - except Fourth who I remember made a brief appearance on P’Tay’s travel show years ago - and it seemed like yet another typical school BL. But seeing all the good reviews here after the series has ended, I decided to give it a sample. And my goodness! Not only was it very watchable, I find myself grinning throughout the show and looking forward to more and more!
I did not expect this at all and it’s hard to pinpoint what exactly about My School President that sucks you in. The storyline is simple and even predictable; there are the usual cliches and all, but for me, the chemistry between the cast - esp between Gemini and Fourth - is off the charts! I really enjoy watching Gemini and Fourth! Initially, I didn’t even like Gemini’s face - personal bias I admit that has no real basis - but it’s a 180 degree change of opinion now. And Fourth, he is just so Sodium Radium Potassium!!! His acting is very commendable for a newbie!
This is by far the most enjoyable BL I’ve watched in a while. I really love the music that peppered the show. And I can’t get enough of Fourth Gemini now. Up next, I’ll be moving on to Moonlight Chicken and eagerly awaiting their installment of Our Skyy!

Can’t say that this show is exceptional, but I do enjoy every episode. And I do think it’s pretty original in some parts (which can surprise me a ‘lil). I like that it doesn’t shy away from presenting the gamut of sexual issues. For an Asian drama, that’s refreshingly upfront.
I like to commend Sing’s performance here. He doesn’t get enough credit for his acting chops. I can’t imagine that many actors being able to pull off a character with an unusual fetish such as this. He played it so well. He really deserves more roles and bigger parts.
Actually, I think Gigie and Ciize too. They deserve more exposure, opportunities and attention in casting. GMMTV seemed to have forgotten about them in recent years, or they seem like mere afterthoughts. Pity!

This show has got me doing a double take on Fluke. Used to feel very blasé about him and don’t really see his appeal to be honest. But strangely, in Warp Effect, Army’s fast becoming the character I look forward to watching the most! I think Fluke played Army well and he’s got the balance between bratty yet cute pat down, which is a hard thing to pull off. Also, kudos to being able to act out all those self pleasuring and handjob scenes…lol…can’t imagine those to be easy to enact in front of a camera!!!

Warp Effect is slowly becoming the show I look forward to the most in the weekly gmmtv’s line-up!

Just finished epi 2 and thought it got alot better than the first, which wasn’t too bad but rather uneven.
Hope it stays this way or get even better from here!

The show isn’t a bad watch but I feel the plot is built on very questionable premise. I’m not sure if there’s something about Thai culture or Thai society that I perhaps, don’t quite understand, but as a Singaporean watching, I find it bit ridiculous that so many characters in the show illogically hate on Kongkwan and act like she is to blame for her sister’s crime. I don’t find that realistic because most people can reason and tell apart the criminal from whoever she so happens to be related to, who have nothing to do with the former’s crime. Just like you & I logically would not think that a murderer’s sibling is also a murderer or has anything to do with what happened and thus channelled any kind of bad feelings towards the latter. Hence, I find it bit incomprehensible how Kongkwan’s schoolmates and their parents, along with outsiders, all see her like she’s the criminal herself. In my head, I can’t help but think, “where got such thing one!”
I mean, realistically, the extent of hate likely will perhaps exists only between Kongkwan’s family and Phukao’s family.

Does anyone share my thoughts on this?

Does anyone else think that the boy playing young Plu looks like Off? Haha

The show is getting interesting, but then again, I’m watching because I trust this director’s work and know it’ll be decent.
I think Pluem is a really good actor and should be given more and bigger roles but I wonder why gmmtv didn’t line up anything for him in 2023. A waste!

Promising when it started, disappointing when it ended. The present content could be done in 6 episodes without even losing much. No wonder it felt soooooo draggy and wishy washy.
Funnily, after making myself sit through the entire length of the show, I think the parts I unexpectedly found the most effortless to watch were the very side scenes of Aou and Fuse. Which led me to think, maybe they tried too hard with the main characters.

The plot development you came up with sounds more interesting to me. I’m also curious about tess.tun and wished they cldve offered more on how those two managed in their new lives/bodies as well as the switchback to their original worlds. Frankly, this talay.puen long-winded love story is perhaps good for just 6 episodes - half the show. The other 6 episodes cldve really been utilised to flash out all the other stuff that viewers would wanna know but wasn’t addressed in the least in the show in its current form. That I feel is a very big missed opportunity. Cld’ve been original and really good, instead of just another sappy love story.

Please change Krist to First! hehe

WHAT A DRAGGY SHOW!!! The wishy-washiness between the two lead characters have gone way beyond the cute point. This will-they-won’t-they teasing is good only for maybe 3 epis max and for when they’re just getting to know each other perhaps, but it’s now epi 7 and they hv pretty much done everything only lovers do, including taking baths together. So it’s just rather stupid to me at this point and makes me feel like screaming, “Just freaking get on with it already so that things can happen!!! URGH!!!”

The cinematography is pretty and the show goes some way to create feels but I’m afraid it’s all falling very flat owing to a lack of real plot development and poor pacing. Sometimes, I don’t even know where this is headed anymore and I don’t mean that in a good way.

I think even if the show were to be cut into half its length, it wldn’t be poorer for it. You know it’s not good when you’re at 1/4 of the episode only and already wondering how long more before the credits roll.

I like that this 3rd story showed how the relationship between the characters developed and evolved through the journey, from strained to eventually fostering a kind of kinship and appreciation. It felt like a movie. If there was one thing that I thought could be better, I’ll say that Joss’ acting in some scenes felt bit unsatisfactory.

The second story was good too but I would’ve appreciate a better explanation of how Piang came to learn of the real reason her Dad was so mean to her that night when she left for Bangkok. I can only guess most probably her brother told her. But then, how would the brother know, right?

I think your comment is on point. Show started off promising but with each subsequent episode, I find that it’s becoming a 12-episode music video.

The first story, though not the most original of plots, was beautifully told. Even though I knew somewhat how it would unfold, I was nevertheless drawn into the emotions played up in many of the scenes. The part where the son watched the clip his mother recorded for him after she passed, tugged at my heartstrings and my eyes grew wet. Lee and Fah have really good chemistry. And I think what was a bit of a departure from the standard storyline, which I liked, was Phu and Mint not ending up together.
On a side note, I can totally relate to Phu’s little obsession with keeping to a certain aestatics for his apartment. Lol

Well, if this is anything to go by, the whole show looks like a winner already!

Question: In the beginning of Epi 1 part 4/4, Talay was very excited to see P’Joe. Who is this P’Joe (who went on to introduce himself as Pramote) and why is Talay so excited to see him (like they’re old friends)?

This series has it flaws but on the whole, was engaging, well-paced and refreshing. I didn’t expect myself to like it as much as I did. I think what I find interesting were its bigger messages and comments on societal status and fairness. What also carried the show was the good acting from the main cast. While Gun’s acting chops has never been in doubt, I was most impressed by First, who I thought was becoming such a fine actor. I think he portrayed Yok perfectly! And he emoted so naturally. Kudos!
Can we have Yok & Dan in another series please? Lol
