I’m currently reading the first book there’s like almost no romance and it mainly focuses on the case, but…
It's definitely like.. enemies (of sorts) to lovers. So, it's a slow process. But the romance develops pretty quickly once it starts. Subtle flirting in book 2 to more pronounced flirting in book 3. Then off to the races lol
He gives himself electric shocks as a means of aversion therapy. The scars are from the electric shocks and also…
One reason why it's so wild they semi played his fear of blood for laughs. I'm like - this is HIGHLY TRAUMATIC. Self imposed electro shock therapy to forcibly make it more difficult for him to hurt people.. whew.
I really enjoyed this til the last episode. They could have made the same point about them choosing each other…
Although my head canon is they both got their powers back at the end. When he runs up and replies to her, he’s like 10 feet away and she had been muttering to herself.. lol
I really enjoyed this til the last episode. They could have made the same point about them choosing each other when they don’t have her sixth sense to tell them they’re supposed to be together. Or the supernatural aspect of it generally. But they spent so long making them both seem extremely childish after showing us How competent they are at work for eleven episodes. Also the man saved her life twice and devoted himself to her in many ways and they broke up repeatedly for stupid reasons. Seemed like a wild character shift. Also on a purely preference note, I wanted him to keep his powers since they seemed useful.
I really hope they end up adding actual subs and not just the auto-translated ones. This is such a good story, but the lack of nuance in the subs will make it very hard for non-book readers.
OK I really don't trust MDL ratings most of the time, so people are watching this right now Is it good like atleast…
It's def a casual watch show. A lot of the logic makes no sense, but it's easy to watch. Some of the little arcs are actually good, too. The ep 9-10 case was actually pretty moving.
Heyyy is the ending good ? Like no one dies and al ? Pls mark as a spoiler
Oh no. Not the case here. He has a lot of inner turmoil about interacting with offenders and trying to get into their mindsets. But he’s fundamentally a good person.

Yes. It’s just little mini crime arcs. There isn’t a major overarching plot. Just a character driven one. The ending is as sweet as a drama in this genre can be.
Watching this after watching the fiery priest is like Kim Nam Gil mood whiplash. He’s absolutely outstanding in this. What a nuanced and interesting take on the male lead.
That was a flashback to when he first met her before they went into the game. She said to him so you actually…
oh, I thought it was him shaking her hand later after. So, they still haven't met IRL tho? I still feel the same that I wished we had gotten a shot of them meeting up together IRL. Although I assume the suggestion is he is overseas..
I think people are jumping to conclusions a but on the reasoning for everything. We've gotten a brief explanation with like one flashback. It's only episode 4. I'm sure that the story will continue to unfold slowly, and we'll learn even more. Like they're already giving us hints - her parents seem to be in an odd relationship (dad didn't even come for her mom's bday?). The ML clearly has some trauma associated with the death or injury of a child (eun byeol - who based on naming conventions I assume is a sibling. Maybe he blames himself or something and doesn't think he has the right to be a parent idk). Idk I'm just not so quick to say I don't want the leads together. I'm anticipating us learning even more before that. They have good chemistry, and they're both clearly still in love with each other. She, quite obviously, isn't over her. And he - I think he acts like he is - but it's also pretty clear he just wants her happiness. That's why he set her up with someone he think can actually please her since as he said - she's perfect.
I still think the main leads will end up together however the more suitable ending would be like the one we saw…
I have to say that the SML also rubs me weirdly the wrong way. A lot of drama discussion sites I participate in are really into him, but he comes across as like... too milquetoast to me to the point I don't trust him lol. To your last point, I agree - it was a bit shameless. But the impression I got was that he literally couldn't find work anywhere because his reputation had been kinda wrecked (and could no longer run his own place). He got a lifeline because CEO Seo likes him, and although he didn't want to for the exact reasons you gave, he needed to pay his alimony and survive so he reluctantly says yes.
The only issue I have with the ending really is that... thy should have just been dating IRL? like - I was genuinely annoyed that they shook hands once in person and then just dated virtually. I ASSUME that when things settle down they'll actually link back up in person but for some reason it irked me hah. Like they've basically been in a relationship for six years via this game, and all he did was shake her hand? She didn't recognize him?
Honestly, half of why I enjoy this show is because both the FL and ML are extremely flawed. So, they weirdly make sense to me as two very messy people lmao. I also thought the first kiss was a good one. I'm surprised to see some of the comments about chemistry. I definitely thought they had it
