I'm only on episode 5 and I already lost count of how many times I've cried. The story is so heart wrenching and…
Lol yeah. I was mostly surprised they chose to reply to me to make that point. It's fine if you have a different reaction, but responding to me makes it seem like you disagree with my emotion and empathy? Ok lol. Like I watched the trailer again because I lingered on it too long on the Netflix homescreen and got a little choked up AGAIN haha. But I also think maybe it hits you harder if you have experienced loss.
I've already thought of watching this drama, but I'm afraid I'll feel the age gap between them...
I didn’t feel it at all. I actually didn’t realize it was so wide until I looked up the actors later lol. They’re both professionals; so it’s two adults falling for each other.
Rewatching for the second time after 4 years. YAI style as Seo Hwi Young is totally my style. This is one of the…
Ah, I just started a rewatch myself after several years. I think I love it even more the second time around. And yes the OST is probably the best I've ever seen. I still have 'Satellite Love' on playlists haha
Honestly this show is such a nice, easy watch. I’m really looking forward to more back story on GST because we’ve gotten so much of CSM’s motivation but not as much of his. The best part of this show is the chemistry between Rain and Kim Beom. They’re wonderful.
When was this drama filmed? I was surprised to see so many references to 2009. Like her calendar on the wall, etc. was this filmed a long time ago or is it just randomly set in that time?
The sound mixing in this one is quite difficult to deal with (as in the vocal track is really quiet compared to the music and sound effects). Does it get fixed as the drama goes? Is this just a Viki issue? Am I just very picky?
I’m looking for a nice, light hearted drama that’s engaging and this one seems good. So I want to watch but honestly the sound mixing is putting me off so much.
So I’m anticipating that Zhan Yan is the reincarnation of Gu Chang, and history will repeat with the two of them uniting to war against the new demon king (Wengu) with him dying again but this time ascending afterward and them finally being together? If it goes any other way, I shall revolt. No sad endings please. Lol
Yeah I don’t think there was a transplant. I think it’s more likely that he’s just trying to rationalize…
Plus his changes weren’t just mental. Like he’s a very capable fighter which didn’t just magically happen via brain surgery. That’s muscle memory. So he prob was always fit like that but used bumbling, sweet, weak cop persona to hide it.
I refuse to let the ending of episode 8 be like that, so here's my theory:I don't think there was a brain transplant.…
Yeah I don’t think there was a transplant. I think it’s more likely that he’s just trying to rationalize why he’s having these dark memories and would rather it be because of something ridiculous like that than the truth he did these things. And I do believe they’re lying about the surgery bc they took HH out of jail to do it. They talked about it that the nation wanted JBR to heal. So it wouldn’t surprise me if the ruling party manipulated things to have HH get out to do the surgery. Also the scar just isn’t big enough for a brain transplant lol.
This is one of my all time favorite dramas. So underrated here. The comedy actually lands (every character!),…
I absolutely shipped Hyun Jae and Woo Seung from the jump, but I had resolved myself to the cliche that she would end up with the son. I'm so happy the show took it in a different direction, and I do not understand people calling it disgusting at all. This version of Hyun Jae disappeared before he and Bo Hee were really an item. He didn't actually father Ji Hoon (though I do love their bonding trip together and the fact that they share DNA even tho he's really more like an older brother than a father lol). Just because Ji Hoon had a crush on Woo Seung doesn't mean he ~deserves her. I thought it was really mature of the show to have Woo Seung tell him they're friends and that's how she's always seen him and actually stick with it. Then it let Ji Hoon focus on what he actually needed to - figuring out what he wants to do with his life. Also, Woo Seung and Hyun Jae had outstanding chemistry. I loved it and them. Honestly, I found the whole final episode surprisingly moving, too. I actually cried when present day Hyun Jae and the 90s version meet up, and the 90s one realizes he needs to disappear/die for everything to happen so he willingly runs off and sacrifices himself for the son he never knew =(. Whew anyway. This show is an absolute gem, and you are really missing out if you pass it up just because two characters in their 20s who are attracted to each other from the jump get together lol

Yes I agree. I think he’s almost comically kind and self sacrificial. And it makes sense to me that he projected…
Well I do think he could still be jaehoon and not the current killer. Because jaehoon is a killer. He killed his abusive stepfather. So that scene still makes sense to me even if he’s not the current serial killer. And they could just be setting it up that way to lead you to think he’s currently murdering.
A lot of people say that BR can't be a psychopath and that now is when he becomes a psychopath after his encounter…
Yes I agree. I think he’s almost comically kind and self sacrificial. And it makes sense to me that he projected that to hide the complexity of his thought processes (and how dark they might be). I think that him seeing all his pictures in the basement and Yo Han’s obsession probably clues him in to who his father is and he drops a lot of the act and really examines that side of himself. So he’s changed in that regard. It’s not like he has a head injury and that did it. If he is Jae Hoon, this makes sense to me too- that he has killed in the past (but an abusive stepfather) and animals. So the capability is there, but perhaps he buried it after being abandoned/orphaned.
I also don’t think he’s the serial killer. I think it’s a third party, but Yo Han knows that Ba Reum is the headhunter’s son and suspects him of being the killer which is why he tries to kill him.
