the first half was so fun with the type of zany humor only older kdramas have. i genuinely laughed out loud so many times. but the second half became so tiresome to watch. it was just nonstop misunderstandings and crying melodrama that sucked so much fun out of watching. as much as i love yonghwa, i got damn tired of seeing shinwoo on screen.

from ep 11-16 i felt like there was absolutely zero plot left and everything was dragged out to pad the runtime. how many times did i need to see the same character walking in on a scene and getting angry from a misunderstanding? by the last ep i didn't even care much for the couple and they did little to actually build a sense of friendship or a found family outside of romance, which i found kinda disappointing. that being said, i still enjoyed it a lot. great performances and memorable scenes, just severely lacking in the story.

i really wish it wasn't a reverse-harem and they just kept jermy as a close friend to her. i feel like that would've been so much better, considering he barely had any chance or screentime with her.

the stylist is so annoying. she's literally only used as a plot device to relay secret info to heyi. why does she keep telling her everything? 🤦🏻‍♀️

i understand why minyeo would like taekyung cuz of how much they bonded, but i seriously don't understand why heyi is into him. he treats her like trash, worse then minyeo. i guess it's a pride thing to prove she can win him over more than her actually caring anything for him.

i think it was an okay show. the second half was def stronger to me than the first. generally frustrating watch, but i suppose that's the point. it was just okay with some highs and lows.

i love how all the comments flip flop between this is a masterpiece and they rewatch it every other week to this is the blandest, most boring, and annoying show they've ever seen.

it's taken me like 3 years to watch this drama. while it has an interesting plot, for some reason i can't seem to connect to any of the characters at all which makes it difficult to truly care about anything that's happening. i definitely see the appeal, i'm just sad it isn't clicking with me cuz i usually love thrillers like this.

yes true but that was still before any relationship started and when he was under the assumption he was black messing up his plan. i highly doubt he would've actually choked white to death considering he was unable to kill anyone else in the show, even when he lost his temper. after sean caught feelings, he was undeniably gentle with white.

i will say though, i wasn't really interested in the other two pairs. dan and yok were fine, but they lacked enough scenes for me to get invested at all. not to mention the betrayal near the end. i know he didn't really have a choice, but it completely took me out of the relationship. as for gram and eugene, they got even LESS screentime, except the main ick i got was gram fully going after his best friend's ex almost immediately after they broke up. not once did he even mend his friendship with black either. they barely even spoke!!! generally i wish they covered more about black's life and his place in the group/relationships. it just felt a little strange and sad to me how they practically replaced black just like that.

as for the drama itself, i adored seanwhite so much. they felt so natural and gentle, something i feel isn't that common in bl. ofc it's all offgun lol. the performances were incredible by the entire cast, particularly gun. black and white genuinely felt like different people, i'd nearly forget they were both gun. props to the editors as well! what surprised me the most was off's acting. truthfully i've never been a big fan of his acting prior to this, but he shocked me with how well he played a darker character. i think it suits him better tbh.

i loved this drama more than i thought i would. initially it took me forever to start it. i kept watching ep 1 and then moving on to other dramas. but i finally finished now and i absolutely adore it. i think being familiar with the industry makes you appreciate this tenfold. the way it changed the bl landscape to be more than just another university plot, one of the first thai bls to explicitly show the pride flag, and including real life activists to fictionally combat the very real oppressive thai government. considering gay marriage wasn't even legal during this, the flag scene felt so impactful.

the story is very meh imo, but this show is absolutely CARRIED by ohm and nanon's chemistry. truly one of the most natural romances (and maybe cuz ohm and nanon were already close friends) you'll watch. the relationship from start to finish felt so natural and i personally adore what they did near the end. such a must-watch and also a great beginner bl.

yeah and the reasoning also just being "because he was rude" felt so weak. maybe the point they were trying to make was what pure "evil" was considering the wife was smiling after killing the husband, but the rest of the show never brought that message. husband witnesses his wife kill a man for NO reason and instead cleans it up then kills a teen boy like???

not only was it random too, but i feel like they revealed it too early? so for the last 3-4 eps i feel like we were just waiting for the main characters to catch up on info we already knew instead of us discovering it with them.

they also made the wife so caricaturely evil??? like moeun is fantastic because of how morally grey she is, but then to suddenly throw in a comically evil couple felt so off compared to the rest of the more serious/realistic story.

thank you! but also i agree with everything you said lol. i was amazed at kim goeun's performance esp compared to all her previous romance roles.

kim goeun really surprised me. i would never guess she'd play in a thriller so well. she was easily a standout character.

EXACTLYYY. i don't really call myself a bl fan either. i just remember there was a scene in this where he put a bag over his head and lowkey kidnapped him and tied him up to a bed and i was like uhhh????? were we watching the same drama? was i watching the right one? cuz why was everyone saying this was such a good show and every time they interacted he was literally being forced and held down? 😭 seriously though if luoyin was a girl i feel like watchers would absolutely lose it

he is so great at acting. always steals the show for me, even if he's not the lead. i love his vibes. like he truly feels like an ARTIST not just an actor.
