Oh I think I get it. Personally, Sooyoung is among my favorite SNSD members and I like her musically. This is only a second drama I watch of hers (first one was Second shot at love). I didn't connect with either of these characters she played that I got introduced to. I don't think she's a bad actress, I just don't like the roles she gets. I don't find it easy to connect with them and they don't seem to be "my type of person" . But that is just my impression.

Well, it was shown that she had her entire room covered with his photos and posters and filled with merchandise, she kept checking the time during her own working hours out of nervousness that she might miss his fan signing event, and in one of the flashbacks where a rumor arose that Raik might be dating someone, she seemed genuinely depressed and was having a hard time processing it emotionally. I would say that she is a veryβand rather unhealthilyβdevoted and fixated fan. She's been shown that her job basically serves only a single purpose and that is to spend all her money on his merch and content. And it's been quite evident her fangirling and fawning over him takes up majority of her free time when she's off work and it's her only active hobby.
However, it seems that in this situation, she is actually able to maintain her professionalism and perceives him as a human being under the circumstances, separating his idol identity from him. Personally, I wouldn't trust myself in such a moment, at least not from the very beginning, if I were in the same situation as her and faced my bias like this. I would go crazy, and I don't even experience K-pop as parasociably as other fans. Despite that I doubt i'd be able to maintain such cool demeanor and not freak out. That being said, I still think it's just the weight of the overall situation that keeps her focused and she wants to get the job done. Maybe precisely because he is the main motivator for her actions here it's why she keeps her composure, cause that will enable her to achieve what she cares about the most at the end of the day, and that is the happiness of her idol. π€·ββοΈ
It is really like that sasaengs are really crazy. And from what I've seen in the drama so far they are not really…
It is. They break into idol's house, disturb their privacy, steal their personal items, take pictures of their personal space, somehow they know how to find out on which flight the idol will be and in which hotel they stay... It's deranged.... and sadly not exaggerated at all..
This hilarious. So your telling me that he is a freeloader in her house, going through her personal stuff, making…
I think at that point he just considers her another one of the sasaengs who has taken advantage of his vulnerability and that's why he's mad... but still π«€
This is a very interesting take! I see it kinda differently, and I actually like how their relationship is portrayed.…
Thanks for recommending! I think I've heard somewhat bad reviews on it so despite liking few members of the cast I decided not to go with it. Also I don't exactly favor the FL actress to be frank ππ but I still appreciate you thinking of giving me some tips π₯Ή

The real plot twist and super-original writing would be if in the end she ends up with someone other than him. That would be peak π Like Byeong Gyun, for instance. Him spilling his coffee after she bumped into him while in a hurry was a perfect setup for me and totally obvious that they'd be enemies, atleast at first. Then there's also her best friend (I'm on ep 2 now but should I even try and guess if he has a "secret" crush on her?) I'm waiting for the day to see a show (not only Korean) that really doesn't play by the book and surprises me like that, by letting the main characters NOT end up strictly with each other, instead only developing mutual respect. (this isn't criticism, just an idea). π
Edit: Now when I moved forward with ep2 obviously Byung gyun isn't an option for romantic interest unless there's been a huge character developement π but his character wasn't my point
