I'm there too. So far I don't see anything new or overly smart (as I've kept reading from other people). I'm sure there are people out there believing they untangled something really genial and they would tell me that I just don't pay attention or don't have enough imagination to appreciate how briliant the story is. Maybe I really do lack something. But so far the antagonists are just as spoiled-rich and materialistic and self-centered as in any other drama and the main FL just gets away with everything too smoothly. At this point what I'm seeing is not very convincing. I'm not looking for realistic interactions that much but I just don't see her revenge plan being that much well planned as much as being conveniently plot-armored through and through.
I'm not saying the characters are entirely bad and I'm not intrigued at all. I'd be lying. I am definitely curious what happens next and where the paths will go. The tension is there.
That's the price to pay for KDramas becoming popular in the Western market. I hate it. I loved KDrama because…
Yes because you have a complete story from A to Z and don't have to wonder about anything. you have everything resolved and can remember it as "oh what a good story".... once it gets more seasons things get messy and many standards from the original story get broken down :/
I'd say in general korean crime shows are not escalating as quickly as western ones. It's based more on interactions…
That's totally understandable! The escalation is just not to everyone's taste and you need to consider carefully what's really worth your time and if you want to invest in it. I know that very well π But great you tried! I also had dramas I'd watch an episode a week and a bunch of other drama episodes in between, therefore I figured it's probably not my cup of tea. But there were also dramas where I found first 3 episodes boring and then it absolutely blew my mind π
It felt refreshing after a while because this felt as a truly mature story. Yes there were cringe moments but…
Thank you very much for your opinion and such exhausting response. πββοΈ I'm not a webtoon reader so I can't compare those, but I'll give AML a try and see what comes of it.

I've been circling around Again My Life for quite a while now... Allow me to ask you: how is the comedy/humorous aspect of that drama comparing to Reborn Rich? AML doesn't have "comedy" in genres nor tags but I noticed dramas throwing these typical cringe and awkward moments/interactions (that are supposed to be funny) on screen, despite not being tagged with it and not having it in genres. RR felt mature, serious and tense in that matter so if you could shed some light on it for me, you'd be very kind. πβ What I have in mind are those sudden embarassing interactions and popping sound effects that make it look like a show for kids. With RR there were so little (basically none that stood out to me) that I can't even remember them, yet there are other dramas with which I remember particular scenes bothering me. In an otherwise thrilling and exciting story it messed up the atmosphere for me. I realize asking to have no such humor would be too much so I'm rather curious about the amount itself.
i mean what would you do if you suddenly had a bunch of demons trying to kill you out of nowhere? realistically…
I understand your point in this thread. It's difficult to convey your thoughts in the right words which wouldn't "offend" somebody (as those people see it). People just catch onto these things so quickly and start urging their point of view on you. On the other hand they really might just feel tired of hearing the same things continuously somewhere else and you just happened to be the last drop of the fuel without it being your fault. I must say for myself that when I read in the show anotation/synopsis that the FL makes a selfish arrogant decision, I expected much worse cause she actually did it in order to defend someone so I gotta give that to her. From the dramas I've watched she's probably one of the least annoying ones to me so far. But despite that, I agree with the points that you're making on the FLs in general. Even when some other's opinions are different I still don't think it's that hard to voice it politely. So if you find yourself under fire remember not to worry about it too much, in the end it's all just on screen and no reason to ruin your day for it! βοΈ
it's just his fans trying to desperately prove that he's a good actor. he's not. even in the episodes where he…
Yes like I said I didn't mean anything against him. I have no problem with him at all. My question was based on his very short screentime in episode 1 and 2 where he didn't have enough space to show his acting yet. πThat's why I didn't understand how people could recognize his acting skills from that little. It doesn't matter if it's Eunwoo or somebody else, it just didn't seem to be enough time for him to even show his acting skills. If you include episode 3 and 4 then we can already talk about him owning the character pretty well and I think he does. π
is this worth watching? im someone who gets bored easily if the story line isn't pulling me in, so I just want…
I'd say in general korean crime shows are not escalating as quickly as western ones. It's based more on interactions and untangeling a secret rather than action scenes, though there are many, too. I'd say the plot this one has is pretty captivating and I loved it very much since I like this type of tense things. The characters are all pretty interesting, the kids aswell as adults. And it's pretty emotional. You can try give it a shot. To me personally it's always about getting through first 3 episodes. I already got used to not judging the drama too rushly and wait till I'm atleast 4 or 5 eps far and then I usually decide whether to give up or not depending on how the plot is moving but more importantly if I actually care about the characters. I already have the experience that the first episode or two is always boring to me but then suddenly I find myself attached.
Yes I don't like how the way he react but I love Kim nam gil very badass and handsome in all angle
I agree, his character so far seems interesting. I'm little disappointed with the apparent reincarnation trope (or something of that longevity/destiny matter) all over again, but let's hope they'll develope it creativelyπ
Please don't get me wrong. This is NOT supposed to be offensive in any kind of way... but I'm just wondering how is everyone keep talking about Eunwoo's great acting when we barely even saw any scenes with him? He appeared for like 3 or 5 minutes in total.... or did I miss something?
Could someone please explain why they have two different actors playing Gong Chan (my subtitles call him by a…
I was confused about those flashbacks too. I was like hey is he just recalling someone else's story or is that supposed to be him? Then it's been revealed why his name is different. I'd say they look almost the same age, the flashback cast definitely doesn't look younger and doesn't even look like he could be the same character. Another thing is that I'd believe the time skip with Soo Jae's character but again in those flashbacks there's no visible age gap between her younger self and Gong Chan's younger self..... They look almost the same age and she's probably supposed to be atleast 8 years older, no?
Uuugh so there's a love triangle? can't we just have a tense show without romance..... is it the male deciding between two females or is it female between two males (I hate those) ?
For time ravel/reincarnation drama I thought this was quite good, and I found the ending very passable. People…
It felt refreshing after a while because this felt as a truly mature story. Yes there were cringe moments but on rare basis and far, far from the usual kdrama cringe loadup. Also it was probably one of my favorite kdrama romance plotlines at all. Not only did the characters rotate towards each other somewhat smoothly and didn't bend and sacrifice their values and mindset just because of their feelings for each other (hallellujah) but also they just acted as adults and they didn't have any unnecessary and unnatural awkwardness as couples usually do. I personally loved their chemistry despite the most of the fandom is hating on it.
I'm not saying the characters are entirely bad and I'm not intrigued at all. I'd be lying. I am definitely curious what happens next and where the paths will go. The tension is there.
