It's not a guy who is ruining it .. it is seo jung hui at last yeong rye told her about jaepil .. is she even…
I think I'll also be in the minority here who sees that JH's friendship was never so strong and genuine on her side as it was on YR's. She always cares more and unconditionally. JH is thinking of herself more than she is of others . Yes she did help YR out and support her in ways, but it never felt like her true trait and like it's coming from her heart. I don't quite know how to put it, and I know that people will disagree with me. But that's my opinion aswell as they have theirs.
It all has to do with JH's past and the way she had to take care of her own survival while growing up. I get that. Nevertheless, I really don't consider her a good friend and hardly a friend for life. I don't share the majority's opinion that these girl's friendship is all that perfect and beautiful and wonferful and it's awful to see a guy break them apart. Cause if their friendship is falling apart, that's not on the guy. That's on JH. To me their friendship doesn't feel that deep at all, only from YR's pov. In my opinion JH is an "alibist" though that's not exactly how I'd put it...π€·π»ββοΈ
Hm which drama are you watching? There are TWO girls, both of them chasing ONE guy. And there are 2 more guys…
I think you might've misunderstood their comment. They meant that people here in the comments appear to them as someone who judges this love triangle differently than they would had the roles been reversed.
I know it's impossible but still I really wish Yeong Rye ended up with Daddyβs Long Legs. He was the perfect…
I know where you're coming from. But just knowing about somebody's feelings for you won't make you automatically feel the same way about them and suddenly turn your in-love mode on if it wasn't there before. Usually...
I wasn't against team DLL at first. But after the last few episodes I grew to dislike him and I really don't think how people consider him a perfect match for YR (now I'm not talking about you specifically but fans in general). I don't think these two match romantically AT ALL . Don't come for me. π
Seven years have passed and no one has aged a bit, and they all literally have the same haircut. π How come…
I love it when someone visits a hair dresser and then literally only gets few micro-inches cut and leaves with literally the same hair cut. It's a j-drama and k-drama thing π
After watching the show, I felt the need to share my take on it. Realisticallyβ Jaepil only had a crush on Jong…
ππ― THIS π―π Thank you for saying it so accurately. I described it in a very similar way in my other comment... that people who think how strong JP's love for JH was and that he'll cling to it again now after years are neglecting the bare fact that it wasn't love to begin with. Just mere teenage hormones developed on a little few seemingly meaningless interactions... on top of that, as many seem not to realize, JH really wasn't interested in JP and then decided to pursue him out of the blue.
Whereas 7 years have passed and him and YR have grown together as adults and their understanding of each other is one with an authentic base, mutual maturing, respect, and far more than a teenage momentary infatuation.
in ep 7 and 8, where is the city they lived in? are they still in the same city?after fleeing from bus company,…
I'm also confused about that. I doubt that by fleeing the bus company all she did was just go a street further to work at a hotel behind the corner, that was a different city that her step mother was visiting. And then.... her step mother happened to come from the same city where they used to live, completely by coincidence...?
But if JH lived at the same city with her step mother this whole time, there's no way that she wouldn't run into YR during the 7 years and their paths wouldn't cross? Or that the hair salon where YR works (which is probably the same city where YR lives her whole life) would anticipate the rich lady's arrival with her daughter so much...?
Then when YR came to visit JH in her huge "castle" how could it all possibly be in the same city ... Maybe i'm just dumb, that's fairly possible ππ This is a multiverse of madness for me
Eight episodes in with only four left, thereβs barely enough screen time or story for Yeong-Rye to suddenly…
That's exactly what I think. Expecting her to suddenly develop romantic interest in him is delusional. I respect that somebody likes their pairing more, but I honestly don't see him as a good match for her AT ALL. Even personality wise. If I uhhmmm exclude him calling her ugly 24/7... I don't think they're compatible even in other ways. Many people think he's more suited for her becaus he's older, mature (or is he) and somewhat stable... But after all this time nothing suggested she'd ever see him that way.
"Hey ugly, why are you not ugly? When did you turn not ugly, your being ugly was putting me at ease." β one of the most romantic things I could hear a 30 y.o. man say π
Here's the problem with that: none of that happened on-screen.Last time we saw him before the time jump, he was…
π― agree... I had the same problem. To me it didn't feel like JP impressed JH whatsoever until she realized HE'S interested in meeting her thanks to that note YR passed on. That felt to me like "ohh he wants to pursue me? hm, might aswell give him a chance ππ»ββοΈ"
Just because JH abruptly requested their fight match to be stopped it doesn't suggest it's out of care, it was out of her repugnance to violence overall. And the way she started caring about JP felt somewhat random and sudden to me all along, as if it were only to create an obvious drama and to put an obstacle between him and YR rather than to intent it to be genuine. I didn't feel like whatever that relationship was was ever meant to be anyone's main concern. The only role it had to play was to create a plot twist, but not to have a meaningful lasting. I personally never saw it any other way. π Nothing suggested he in particular piqued her interest in any special way. And while people bring out how strong JP's love for her was when just as you said yourself they BARELY spent any time together. They had exactly one "date" and ran into each other a few times by coincidence. There's no doubt that JP's desire to get close to her was true, but that was a mere teenage infatuation. That is normal.
Right now we see his grown up version who spent last 7 years maturing next to YR and they got to know each other through and through, having that adult understanding of each other and appreciating one another on many more values than just teenage hormones and being attracted to a "mystery" or "the chase" of the other person. They are genuine with each other. And despite us as audience not seeing it on screen I can feel it right there whenever the two of them share a scene.
JP will end up alone. It seems inevitable. With girls friendship being center arc, i don't think they will ruin…
I'm convinced YR will end up with him. I strongly doubt she'll start paying attention to her brother's friend all of a sudden. To me it's more likely that JH will end up alone, because even when she's being shipped and thrown together with YS, I don't think she sees him romantically or will start to develop feelings for him at this point (despite it being clear that he likes her). But maybe they'll end up together too π
That's exactly how I felt too until 8th episode honestly ππ
I was wavering even before but right now I just can't possibly imagine YR ending up with her brother's friend a.k.a. Daddy long legs whose name I still don't remember. I'm just having such mixed feelings about him, he's obviously a good friend, but any indication from YR to be interested in him and view him as anything else outside of another family member and mental support is at zero. I know this ship is huge and has many supporters, and I supported them too. But I don't think they make a good match, to be fair.
Besides how did he manage to say "ugly" so many times in a row the VERY FIRST MOMENT he met her after years? Like "Hey ugly, you're not ugly anymore? when did you turn not ugly, your ugly was putting me at ease".... What even the hell ? πππ that line alone just killed off any benefit of the doubt I was holding for him, plain idiot behavior β I blame the writers.
Jae Pil atleast is treating her gently and has grown to really understand her over the years, which there is nothing wrong about it. They matured by each other's side. And the way he acts around her, I really don't see it as him only using her as a bandage. People here say he loved JH so much, but frankly they barely had any time to even fall in love with so little to know about each other. They were just teenage-crushing and attracted to each other. So understandably there will be some natural nostalgia between them as their situation was cut off unexpectedly without any closure, hence whatever unresolved emotions they had would remain as if it were yesterday, most likely. But I doubt he'd prefer that nostalgia over the mature and adult affection he has for YR now and their connection. And there's not a chance YR ends up with Daddy long legs, it's too late to turn the tide for them at this point, it would quite literally be out of the blue + the way he's being edited into the scenes makes it somewhat obvious they're only putting him in as an obstacle, rather than as an option... π
So yeah, those are just my observations and after all of that I'm all for YR and JP now... π₯²π
timeskip jonghui's situation seems ridiculous, what is the chance of that? i thought i was watching penthouse…
I was honestly thinking the same right away... and a part of me was even expecting it actually. I really believed JH'd end up having some fairytale scenario to turn her life around 180 Β° in a way that will never happen to anyone else β I sure as hell met many interesting people while working at a hotel and no, none of them decided to hand me their fortune, sadly π
I know we're watching fiction β a drama β and we're not supposed to think too much of it, but this seriously pulled me out of the experience which in all other directions was somewhat realistic and natural. Then all of a sudden she just happens to run into a suicidal super-rich lady who decides to reward this random girl for changing her mind and saving her life with all that she can afford.... That's literally a plot twist I'm not a fan of.
At the end of the day many things are pointing towards it probably just being another form of abusive relationship for JH, as her new mother seems to still have mental issues when she forbids JH to claim any connections from her pre-cinderella life. She's quite clearly controlling and I bet that later on it's gonna come to that, for us to find out that JH isn't really happy in that golden cage and is being a victim of toxic domestic environment once again.
