and to fix my Wang Xing Yue craving I started watching this absolutely funny cute show called "Delicacies Destiny" (DD)
Very different flavoured CDrama
I couldn't continue "First Love" because the FL has been written as a 'dumb' FL .. maybe something will explain her 'silly self' later .. So I decided to put on HOLD for a while.
Hi,I am not sure if you were referring to my comment (from 2 months ago) : just in case you were I'll try to remove…
Thanks for the response and clarification ππ
If you are OK - I'll still leave this response here in case the "mentioned" commenters return - I was quite shocked at the language they used; I am a prolific commenter and have never had anyone respond in this manner.
I just hate some people in the comments judging the Finest Actor like Choi Woo Shik calling him a dull guy, I…

(I received some EXTREMELY RUDE, out of line language usage, as responses to that comment - so this addresses them too .. since they too have misread / misunderstood what I was trying to express).
I think there is a mix-up that occurred between my DESCRIPTION of the ROLE he ENACTED in dramas VS the description of him as an ACTOR and his TALENT.
I think I CLEARLY rated him as AN UNDISPUTED TOP TALENT as an actor .. That he pulled off NUANCED, DIFFICULT, ROLES with superb finesse and accuracy! Roles that require subtlety and layering of multiple emotions ..
I THINK I clearly mentioned that I AM EAGERLY awaiting this NEW DRAMA.
Maybe if my comment gets a PROPER READ THROUGH one cannot miss the DISTINCTION I made while describing WHAT, IMO, constitutes a TOUGH ROLE TO ENACT and the fact that Choi Woo Shik the ACTOR, PULLS IT OFF so skilfully.
YES of course everyone is free to CHOOSE which CWS role / drama is their favourite. I chose BELOVED SUMMER.
What MOST people on this thread are in AGREEMENT with is that CWS IS A TOP NOTCH TALENT.. With which I am in UNISON.
I hope this clears up the MISREADING of my comment from 2 months ago.
OMYGAWD .. SAME PINCH!!!I couldn't take my eyes off for a moment even - it's my first 2024 straight up BINGE for…
Yes!!!
It was sheer poetry.
That's how I also could relish the end.
Those final evocative scenes of the wafting smoke, the plates of incense being worship fully placed around her bed, him wiping her hands.
That noodle soup scene was one of the most poignant drama moments I've ever watched.. The fact that he smiled and "smelt" it, it's flavours wafting towards him - a man who makes a living with his smell sense -and then walked away leaving it there on the road encased in its box π€π½π€π½π₯π₯π€π½π€π½
PURE HAIKU quality moment!!!
Then that final calling out his name!!!!! It's "intimate" since the whole drama had hinged around so much formality in their interactions maintaining the hierarchy the "rules" of touch and speech and address between the classes and people of status, between nobles and royals and staff.
YESSSSS Baby πβ¨ππ₯π₯π "Call Me By My Name"
( that's the name of an Award winning film with Timothy Chalamer)
ROFL .. You caught the L&P Flu ...Once upon a time people used to catch the Go Soo Flu LOL We've been there ..…
So true. That last bit of her joining the force felt a bit out of sync.
But I tried to rationalize with : she saw how they save lives / wanted to be with ML as close as possible since he did live a dangerous life / she was disqualified as a doctor and anyway would need to retrain in a new job / she wanted to save lives most.
Was the @Elana even watching the show??
Hello!!!
What incest??
Now you @Elana are talking like the Evil Queen Fu Yao π¨π¨π¨

Enjoying DD in the meantime. A lot.
And in a "poetic" way ~ which works in a way ;-p but also leaves you little bit hungry for some extra 'love' scenes ..
I am craving a new season
Which basically means the romance is 'fluff' and not important to the main story
Any kisses?

I am not sure who this is directed to?
@Kaiser or @Worthyprncz or @koreanbosuji
If it's the last one, I have responded to your post on the comment by @Bong-Bong

One can agree to differ without resorting to foul language.
I recommended it to @twinty recently.
I have a feeling you'll like it.
I have watched it.
NO this is TOTALLY different.
The feel the, the themes, the characters, the setting.
Shawn Dou is one of my fave actors.
BUT please put a SPOILER TAG.
You maybe IMMUNE to SPOILERS ..
But you should be considerate of other who are not.
Maybe you forgot. PLEASE put it ASAP
And I am so happy you felt this way too.
Omygawd me too.
I teared up - choked and a sob escaped.
Was all twisted up inside ππ
Prior to that when I was seeing her keep fiddling with that pouch I was confused wondering what is in it?
IT ONLY came together when she threw it and the bottle broke π©π«π₯Ί
His attendant's anguish expression - OMG
It was sheer poetry.

It was the page turner equivalent of a Drama.
I was all eyes and ears not wanting to miss a single moment glance word action ost...
Just perfect!!
