Phap is being rude af but I still laughed about it LOL
same. it seems like other folks are really pissed at phap, but i just laughed the whole time. he's so petty and the stuff he does is so harmless that i can't be too mad at him. when things are serious he knows how to be serious, too... otherwise, he's just gonna keep making his paper mache 😂

STOP CRYING PHAP THATS HIS BROTHER AND HE WAS IN A TRAGIC JET SKI ACCIDENT THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU

all jokes aside. i can't say i was expecting a jet ski accident today. i hope maze clears up the confusion quickly.

Korn and wai are not really a pair if they follow the novel.. Then they are just drinking buddies
I guess I can settle for drinking buddies... (but if Aof could deviate and sprinkle in a little unresolved sexual tension that'd be nice too)

That was insanely romantic. Wow.

But if they really pull the "forced to break up and meet years later" plot next episode, I'm gonna be disappointed. Cmon, PatPran! You can weather this storm together! I hope what we saw in the promo is a "what if". Maybe something that the parents think about - what if they stop their sons from being happy, and that's the future result. My fingers are crossed.

Also... I cannot believe that Korn and Wai are actually pairing up. I can't believe I saw that with my own two eyes. But I am so grateful. Now if they could get a spinoff so Drake could have a leading role, that'd be great. Get on it GMMTV!

This was a good first episode. It sort of feels like the sports equivalent to ITSAY/IPYTM, where the two mains have made childhood promises together that they might not be able to keep. I really like the coloring of the show as well. And Aii is SO cute; he reminds me of Tay Tawan a little with the glasses.

This show is cute. That's really all I can say about it. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's a good watch.
Tae continues to steal the show for me!

For me this ep was much superior to the first two - the writing and character motivation were much better - TBH…
I wasn't sure I was attracted to First until this episode. Hoo boy
They've only had like 5 minutes of screentime, but I already have second couple syndrome 😂

and there was only one bed!

no gram this episode, which was a bit disappointing, but hopefully we see him again next time. i'm starting to think that the possible love triangle ("black", sean, gram) might turn into a love square - did anyone else pick up on vibes from gumpa toward "black"?

i really enjoyed this episode, even though it went a little heavier on the product placement. still better than Bad Buddy's product placement this week, but I did laugh at them using the drink as a cold compress. oh well. gotta make that coin somehow!

i honestly don't know how gmmtv is getting away with exploring these themes, but i'm grateful for it.

I'm not sure why folks don't like this show more. I find it really charming, and the love story is developing so organically and sweetly. Tae and Singto have great chemistry.
The arcade scene was my favorite. Seeing Maze soften and allow himself to have fun around Phap warms my heart.

That episode was disappointing to me. It's still better than 99% of anything else, but it was not good by Bad…
I agree. It just felt so random and out of place. Hopefully the family conflict will be resolved a little more organically

I blinked and the episode count went up. Was this always a 12 episode show? I could have sworn it was only 8...

Yes to InkPhaWould love to see KornWai but seeing how Korn doesn't standup for Wai at the bar when he was bullied,…
That's true! But when Korn said he had a crush on a guy in Architecture I was like !!
Honestly, I don't even need them to like each other. They can just angrily make out; that's cool with me.

Yeah today's ep. was a bit off for me, I mean the gun was a bit too much, like a college student going around…
Based on other comments here, I think the gun is from the novel. I like that they are trying to stay true to the novel, but it didn't carry well to the screen for me personally. Like I said above, a switchblade or even just a Swiss army knife would have felt a lot more realistic.
I'm usually not that picky about realism in these shows, but I guess I'd just gotten used to the fact that this show hasn't thrown anything like this at us. It felt like way too much to pack into a single episode.

And on today's Very Special Episode of Bad Buddy...

This was a bit weird. A bit contrived. A bit half-baked. But I accept it, I guess.

But seriously why did it take so long for Pat's parents to visit the hospital 😂 Of all the things I expected to see today, gun violence did not even approach my list. Honestly, a plot like this shouldn't shock me, and I've definitely seen weirder. But it just didn't feel earned or that it matched the tone of the show at ALL. I think a knife would have been more realistic, and instead of Wai needing to provide evidence to the police (seriously, what) he could have come to Pat's defense in front of school administration or something.

It seems, though, that the InkPa ship will certainly sail, and maybe even the KornWai ship too (it's a Christmas miracle).

No matter how smart white is and he is…it is impossible for him to have adapted to the situation cos it was…
He isn't a firefighter😂 he might be physically weak, but mentally he isn't. So again I think that the physical strength will develop.
And yeah there's the twin switch thing. But there is also a gang of anarchists and political commentary about class inequality. When is the last time you saw that in a Thai BL?
About production value, again these two shows are different beasts. But to me Not Me seems more cinematic and visually Bad Buddy is just another university BL. Not that that's bad. The chemistry in Bad Buddy sets it apart. But it's like comparing apples to oranges.

Title Not Me
No matter how smart white is and he is…it is impossible for him to have adapted to the situation cos it was…
Bad Buddy is such a basic story. I love it too, but let's not kid ourselves; it's just Romeo and Juliet. The acting and direction are great, but the plot, the sets, the cinematography and design is all very basic. The chemistry between Ohm and Nanon sells it, but swap them out for some less talented actors and I do not think Bad Buddy would be as impressive as it is.

And Not Me's production, if we are being truthful, is leaps and bounds better than Bad Buddy's. It's got about 1000 more moving parts than Bad Buddy does, and visually I think it's been more interesting and appealing in 2 episodes than all of Bad Buddy has been. Not to knock Bad Buddy - but they're different types of shows, and I don't think the comparison is fair.

In terms of White's character, I have not gotten a useless vibe from him whatsoever. He ran into a burning building to save a stranger in this episode. What's wimpy about that? He doesn't know what the gang is planning, and he's wrestling with the morality of it. But he feels he owes a debt to Black, and he ran head first into this role to try to avenge him. Maybe not the smartest decision, but it certainly was not a wimpy one. Growing up he was always the weaker twin, but it's clear that he has a drive and passion. My guess is that he will grow as the show progresses, taking on the good qualities of Black to become stronger and braver.

And re: awkward exposition, I've felt like they've really done a good job of keeping things moving and trying to introduce new information organically. The flashbacks have been artistically integrated into the filmmaking, like when White looked out into the yard and we saw him and Black as children. I don't love the narration, but this show is certainly not unique in using it (if I recall, Bad Buddy has quite a lot of it early on). And Todd, as it stands, feels a little like an NPC explaining the story to White. BUT if he's evil (which I think he is) it will make for an interesting dynamic.

Finally, in terms of exposition, I appreciate that there are a lot of things they aren't clueing us in on right away. Take, for example, Papang's character. I didn't even know what his name was in the first episode, because White didn't know it. So when Sean mentioned it offhand, I had a moment of: oh, *that's* what his name is. And I was having that moment at the same time as White. I really liked that.

Sorry for a wall of text, but I really think you're selling this show short.

I thought I was impressed with last week's episode... and then I saw that fire scene. I was shocked to find that watching UNAR's artwork go up in flames made me tear up a bit. Not because I was sad, but because the music and the visuals just made me feel so strongly that I had to cry.
The side couple is going to be amazing.
Man, I love this show. I need it to blow up!
