I am incredibly impressed with this first episode. I was a bit tentative about New - but he has proven in this episode alone that he has the acting chops and comedic timing to carry this show.
And Zee continues to be one of the most beautiful men in BL, period.
I am so excited for next week.

The beginning of this episode had me laughing out loud. Akk is a treasure - he is SO fun to watch.

The sequence with all of their book recommendations was fairly funny, and then they got to Saifah's and I was in HYSTERICS. Why did he come out of that fruit naked with a guitar??? Maybe something was lost on me that was culturally significant. But whatever it meant... it was hilarious.

I stg I could hear Akk's heart breaking during part 4.

I wish the episodes were longer. I love vampires - love love LOVE vampires - and I am always hunting for a vampire BL. This sort of scratches that itch, but as soon as things get exciting it switches to another scene or the episode is over.
I like the plot, but I think they could have benefitted from stripping things down to the least action possible. If they had kept the conflict just between the mains they could have had more time to explore all the longing and lust and darkness that makes the vampire genre as fun as it is.
I'm still looking forward to the next episode though!

Damn, what an episode. It's a rare thing to care about multiple couples equally, and yet they've managed!

I feel like San's grandmother is all of us.

What a half-baked ending for a show with a great start. I still enjoyed it - but it definitely started better than it ended. That seems to be a theme these days...
They could have literally fit Ne between their bodies during that ending kiss. Weird.
And why was Maze acting like Phap left him when he made the conscious decision to drive Phap away 😒 Maze should have been the one apologizing!

Damn Sean is all about the mission - until White is kissing his earlobe, and then it's Tawi who?

I feel so sad for White. He really should have told Sean the truth before they spent the night together. I hope Black doesn't keep them apart for long.

I was totally expecting the Dan reveal, and I still gasped. At this point I don't think there is any version of this where Yok and Dan have a happy ending. They feel so doomed to me.

this show is like watching a car crash, but the cars are sexy and when they collide there are cute sound effects to go with it
... i've lost the thread here with my metaphor
hopefully someone knows what i mean

Of all the shows that include live singing as a plot device (of which there are MANY) I am most impressed with this show. It's not afraid to show not perfect performances. It is clear that Gawin is really playing the guitar and singing. The cover of the Sizzy x Nanon song was well done - but also realistic as a live performance. The vocals were stripped down, no random instruments appeared in the background track, and most of all THE GUITAR WAS IN TUNE!!!!

The glow filter, on the other hand, was even more in-your-face in this episode, and it's now spread to Force. I wonder if the actors were breaking out or something when they were filming this block of scenes. Either that, or it's just a stylistic choice. But everyone looks like a wax figurine 😂

I'm enjoying this show so far, even if it is a little slow paced. It's relaxing to tune into and I'm excited to see where it goes.

Finally got the chance to watch this. It was of course high quality - I didn't expect anything else. I felt the plot lagged in some parts, but the acting was so good that it was okay. Izuka Kenta upped his game for this.

I hope it’s more than 10 episodes. I know it’s a dumb question but still hope to be at least 12-14
I think 10 is a good number for a show like this. Any more and it might drag. But 10 episodes twice a week means this show will be done by March, which is a bit disappointing.

Can't say I loved the trailer, but I will of course watch to support my faves. I'm almost positive it will get a joint Youtube release.

I'm a little disappointed about the twice a week episodes during the workweek. I know its more content but I feel like GMMTVs during the week shows never do quite as well as the Friday BL slot. I maybe would have rather waited for Not Me to be done and have it be a Sunday show. I guess between the backlog of shows that were delayed and all the new stuff planned, they need to jam pack the schedule to get all of it released.

It will be interesting to have 3 BLs at once on GMMTV, and hopefully the star power of EarthMix will drive folks to watch on Mondays and Tuesdays.

That DanYok scene was outstanding. Honestly, I think it packed a harder emotional punch than the kiss. Everything about it was so well done. I'm really really impressed with First and Fluke.
I love that these two characters already have this intense intimacy and trust, and it's sexual but not entirely. Their bond is so believable even though it's so new.
I'm obsessed.

Finally watched the first ep, and I laughed a lot during it. I loved the original anime, so I'm really happy to see this adaptation capturing the spirit of it.
I was a bit tentative about Turbo as Anda/Izumi, but he sells it. He's so... small. I want to pinch his cheeks 😂

Man, I love this show. The vibe while I watch is so peaceful. I really enjoy it.
A few thoughts this week:
- How can Tupfah be so big and yet so baby all at once?
- I know folks aren't here for it, but I'm loving the toxic Dome/Vee relationship
- Aii is so goddamn cute I don't know what to do with myself

A lot of Cdramas use a “face-smoothing” effect that makes the skin of the actors look like glowing wax. What…
It's more aggressive in some scenes than others. I wonder if he has some redness that can't be covered easily with makeup, or maybe he had breakouts on some filming days and they decided to just fix it in post.
OR it might be to make the character look more doll-like and "angelic". Visually I feel it does make him look like a fake person. Maybe that's on purpose.

Thoughts as I watched:
1. The aesthetic of this show is pleasing. The visuals, the music, the pacing. I like it a lot.
2. Akk is insanely charming and fun to watch. Force is a scene stealer - I can see him going places at GMMTV.
3. Fluke Gawin makes everything better. I appreciate that when he plays a character that sings, it's really him singing live. And he's easy on the eyes.

How are they terrible for the environment?
Yes, NFTs can be sold, just like any other crypto.

UNAR selling his anti-capitalist art to make a profit, all while using an insane amount of energy to do so, is both pro-capitalist and anti-enviornment. And it's not like he was selling an NFT for cheap. He said in no uncertain terms that selling his NFT brought in more money than his work as a cop.

As another commenter pointed out, though, he might have used a proof of stake blockchain. I had never heard of such a thing, but apparently that reduces the energy consumption by a LOT.

Edit to add: I may be overthinking it, but it does seem like Dan's views aren't totally one way or the other. He hates Tawi, but he continues to be a cop. He depicts the control of the law in his art, while being the one to control the law. And he has clear environmental motives... while selling an energy-sucking NFT. He's a conundrum!
