Oh, it's another week where Tong steals the show! What a surprise! He is so talented in this role. It's a LOT but it somehow always works and I can't take my eyes off him whenever he is in a scene.
Up until this point, I feel like I haven't been able to get a read on Kinn or feel any particular attachment to him. And then he started to dance around Porsche re: their kiss. I feel affection for him 🥺 he's like a little boy, asking if Porsche has a girlfriend and if he was a girl would he like him. So cute.
and then... THAT scene. holy shit. Am I watching a Thai drama still? Did I accidentally put on Mood Indigo?! Episode 4 and they're already delivering like this. The tension between them is so palpable, dubious consent aside. Wow.
And that piano version of the theme?! Gorgeous. Wow wow wow. What an episode.
Gender isnt usually determined by someone else's dialogue in Thai - but rather by the speaker/person being gendered…
I had the same thought after I made this comment. I know pronouns don't work the same way as in English.
The translator unknowingly made a choice that added unintentional humor to all the scenes. I just kept picturing Diao and Yi really thinking this dog was a girl despite it all. 😂
I feel like this show badly wants to be A Tale of Thousand Stars and it's just.... not. I'm following along with the weekly releases and I'm just not excited for it each week. It's a damn shame, since I love EarthMix to bits. But this just ain't it for me. I'll continue to give it a shot, but it's repetitive, it drags, it's got out of place editing choices and music choices, etc. etc.
Also. I know it's Thailand but... 12 degrees C is almost 54 degrees F. I guess you can tell I am from a cold area when I say that I could sit outside for hours upon hours in that kind of weather with no repercussions whatsoever. 😂 I might be a little chilly, but my lips wouldn't turn blue.
Earth continues to be one of the most gorgeous men on the planet, so that's enough for me I guess.

thus far, i'm pretty much just watching for earthmix. i'm not finding myself particularly excited for this week-by-week, which sucks; i could barely contain myself waiting for ATOTS each week. i hope things pick up a bit, but right now i'm underwhelmed.
The van scene was incredibly moving. Wow. They all acted the fuck out of that scene. I will say I feel things were tied up in neat little bows a little too much for the couples. At the same time, though, nothing was really solved outside of the relationships; which is sort of moving and thought-provoking. By the end I was no longer rooting for Yok and Dan. However, Yok's sucker punch to Dan's face felt very good to see and it did make me more inclined to see a future between them. I'm glad Dan quit his job but he has a LOT of work to do to earn Yok's trust and forgiveness.
this episode was so good. wow. this might just be the masterpiece episode of this series. i never wanted it to end. WOW.
