You're gonna be really mad when you find out they cut out their first kiss. XD It's actually a shame because it…
Yes, I saw that scene yesterday. But to me that doesn't really count cause it's that first sex scene and it didn't make it to the show.
I wanted to see their first kiss after months of buildup, months of Jim denying himself and Wen pining.
Also I can just imagine in the scene from twitter P'Aof just sitting there like 👁👄👁 who is gonna tell them Jim and Wen don't kiss? Especially since in 1000Stars behind the scenes they seemed a little shy with each other. Aof must have blinked and then oh shit EarthMix are making out😂
I've sat with this since watching, and I keep coming back to it. Is anyone else very disappointed that we didn't get to see Jim and Wen's FIRST kiss? Sure, domestic bliss makeouts are great. But the fact that Jim dodged Wen's kissing attempts throughout the show (even when they had sex in ep. 1) built up the tension like crazy. I feel like the *first* kiss, if done right, could have been explosive. This kiss was exciting just because it was the first one for the viewer, but it was obviously not the first for the characters.
Sad but fact, we Thai don't really get to learn a basic 101 of how to treat the people when they are unconscious.…
Honestly my comment was mainly in jest - if it weren't for my job I wouldn't know how to give CPR or what to do in a medical emergency! I'm sorry if my comment caused any offense
Who needs CPR when you can just crowd around a woman and fan her with your hands? it seems these folks have all learned emergency health responses from the same people who taught all the characters in Never Let Me Go to shake people who have just been shot
In all seriousness, Khaotung's acting in this episode was top notch. He stole the show!
I could have taken about 15 more episodes of these two. I'll watch them cook. I'll watch them fight. I'll watch…
i keep rewatching the moment when Hira starts to stutter and Kiyoi slides across the bench and calms him down. The look of tenderness on Kiyoi's face. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I could have taken about 15 more episodes of these two. I'll watch them cook. I'll watch them fight. I'll watch them do their laundry. I'll watch them go to the grocery store. I will watch them do that thing couples do where they sit in the same room and stare at their phones and not talk to each other for 3 hours.
The movie won't be enough. NOTHING WILL BE ENOUGH!! ETERNAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know who taught these kids to shake people who have just been shot, but I'd like to have a word with them.…
Update, for those of you who were concerned: I didn't get a presale code, but my partner did. I haven't been this relieved since Chopper showed up with that gun and shot his dad in the leg.
I don't know who taught these kids to shake people who have just been shot, but I'd like to have a word with them. COMPRESS THE WOUND, YOU FOOL!
And here's where I finally admit that I hate the theme song so much. I kept waiting for the song ฝากใจไว้ by GMM Chorus to be more prominently featured in the show. It took my breath away in the teaser, so I expected great music. I was sadly disappointed. All we got was out of place Christmas music.
Maybe it's just me, but I sort of feel like these characters have been through enough during this series - we didn't need the drama shoehorned into the final act. I guess there wouldn't have been much of a final episode without it, but damn.
And maybe it's just that emotional weight of the episode was overshadowed by my devastation about being put on the ARMY presale waitlist for the Agust D tour... Ticketmaster managed to destroy me with a single email more than this show did in 12 episodes. But I digress.
Wasn't the worst show, but definitely not the best either. Didn't live up to the hype nor did it hit its stride. I can't say exactly what did it. Probably a combination of things: writing, direction, casting. All in all, it was a lukewarm ending for a relatively lukewarm show.
A bit of a cop out ending, but it did wrap up nice. It was fun for what it was.
I just think it sucks that it erased a lot of what the characters went through. Basically the whole show was for nothing except for Alex's development. Every other character's story meant literally nothing.
Also, I wish I could write to GMMTV and beg them to stop using Christmas songs because it's never appropriate and it always takes me tf out. Looking at you, random use of Joy to the World during the Alex/Jean scene in part 4.
Writing: AActing: ACinematography: ABoom Operator: Deserves death penaltyCome on. That Alan/Wen scene was destroyed…
The squeak was the worst. I love this show and all of Aof's projects, but he desperately needs to find a quality sound team. I understand why they don't have the budget to re-record audio in post, and honestly the acting was so good that I wouldn't want to re-record. But they have GOT to have lapel mics as a backup, more controls over their audio in the moment, ANYTHING. At least they didn't apply noise reduction to the background noise like crazy during the quiet parts only to have the squeak squelch in when the dialogue began. That would have somehow been worse, but only marginally.
Yeah he’s killing it this season. In fact I find Kiyoi the more sympathetic character now when he seemed more…
Meeting the parents is one of the most non-glamourous, non-worshipful, mundane aspects of being in a relationship. But it's a big deal - it signifies a level of commitment. It says: you are so important to me that I want you to get along with my family. It signifies a merging of the two. And for the partner being introduced it's typically stressful, you might feel you need to prove yourself as a worthy partner, etc. It also can make things complicated in a relationship. And yes it does signify a certain level of pride in one's partner. I think that's a perfectly normal thing for anyone to want.
Never have I thought I needed to introduce my idols to my parents... my partner on the other hand.
For Kiyoi, meeting Hira's parents represents Hira's desire to stay by his side and to bring him into the fold of his family.
For Hira, introducing Kiyoi to his parents is an action that is "beneath" Kiyoi. And Hira admitted it - he doesn't want to understand Kiyoi. He doesn't want he and Kiyoi to be on the same playing field. I believe that it has far more to do with Hira's lack of self worth than he lets on.
And Kiyoi trying to push Hira to join a contest - however a misguided decision that might have been - was definitely an attempt to push Hira to see his own value.
They are both making bad decisions. They are both awful communicators, and they are both hurting each other deeply. It's great joy to watch. I can certainly sympathize with both characters as well as see their faults. That's what makes this show so fun.
Edit to add: you said Kiyoi calls Hira's every action of affection "gross" but I definitely see it differently. This episode in particular showcased a quiet sort of domestic love between them through the hair drying scene in particular and at this point it's clear that "gross" has morphed into a pet name more than anything else. Not to mention there has been years of interaction between them that we haven't had any insight into. Kiyoi's use of gross has the same energy as telling someone you hate them with amusement and affection in your tone. It's clear you don't really hate them.
Season 1 was Riku's and S2 is absolutely Yusei's. They're such great actors!
Without a doubt. They're both killing it. Where Riku's Hira is cartoonish and over-the-top, Yusei's Kiyoi has become quiet, contemplative, and reserved. It's an awesome contrast.
honestly it's only because of his trauma that i'll forgive him for eating the cake like that 💀

palm, with a big smile: my dad was in jail, my mom is dead, but dammit I love you, Neung!
