At first this show relaxed me, similar to how You're My Sky relaxes me. Now, it's just boring. It's been a while since I watched a show on 2x speed - but I did that this week. I hate to drop it altogether cause I've invested time into it, but man this has gotten boring quick.
Wow. Gun is so insanely talented. Like, I knew that already. But wow. The moment when Sean learned White's name and took him into his arms was so romantic 😭 But more and more I do not trust Dan and it's a damn shame 😭
Wow, this show is so underrated. What a great episode this was. Fah continues to be ultimate babey in every way. But i stg if there is a cheating plot with Fah and Torn I'm going to revolt 😂
I know I say this every week but DAMN THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD another slam dunk of an episode this week this show is the best of the best that gmmtv has to offer
Writer. Director. Are you having a fucking laugh? I didn't sign up for a basketball drama. Really, 30-mins of…
it's.... it's a sports drama they're playing basketball on the damn poster this comment is the equivalent of saying something like "yuri on ice has too many figure skating scenes"
OOF Win. ooooof. His mother needs to smack him upside the head, for real. I'm not a Thai person so I can't really speak on it, but I didn't get the colorism that people were talking about from episode one. [Edit to add: upon reflection, I guess that the only thing I could possibly see is Champ's character. It almost looked as though he was wearing heavy makeup to make him look darker/more orange; but I genuinely don't think that was an intentional commentary on the skin color of farmers or anything. I think it was a weird makeup choice paired with the coloring of the show in general. Again - not Thai, so it's not for me to decide. But yeah.]
Maybe I couldn't see the problems past Earth's beefy shoulders (sorry. bad joke). But seriously though. This is the hottest Earth has ever looked in a show. Even hotter than Phupha, somehow. I'm so happy to see him as a leading man.
I hate the color filter of this show but honestly I'm just so happy to see Earth and Mix together again that I will take anything. And actually this isn't a bad quality show at all thus far - I enjoyed it. I thought the acting was fairly well done (except for a few moments where I would have tried to reel Mix in a little. I forget this is only his second drama.) I was moved by the funeral scenes. I like the pastoral vibe. It reminds me a lot of ATOTS.
EarthMix's chemistry once again jumps out, and I can already buy that these two characters are soulmates before anything even happens.
I really hope this comes to Youtube soon so I can watch it again to support them, and so everyone can see it and make ratings based on the show itself and not anger at GMMTV.
Earthmix has nothing to do with this if it falls off like it’s the company and production teams fault. And after…
Of course EarthMix has nothing to do with it. But realistically, the success of their careers moving forward relies on how well their projects do. I don't doubt that if the show flops GMMTV will reconsider more projects for them in the future. Most folks see a situation like this and will probably understand that the model of GMMTV operates in such a way that Earth and Mix have projects selected for them, and GMMTV actors seem to sort of get what they get in terms of jobs. Any problematic aspects of those shows reflect on the creators rather than the actors. However... you know that not everyone is reasonable. So for many, I am sure that EarthMix will be the target of anger and hate about not only the problematic aspects of the show but also the accessibility issues. I am especially sad for Earth. He has been relegated to a side character for so long, and I want his career to pop off. Something like this sets things back 😔
The gag is that they aren't even going to make more money this way. Intl fans have literally no way to watch it, paid or unpaid. I can totally understand something like this for smaller production houses. Like the current adaptation of Love Stage, for example. But this is *GMMTV!* How are you going to historically post shows to Youtube, amass a huge intl audience, and then say "oh, well, nevermind, because now Daddy Disney is involved."
So we are going to have to watch on Dramacool if we want to watch it at all. If they wanted us to pay for it, it could have been available on Disney+ in other markets, on Youtube with ads, or even behind a paywall on Youtube.
It doesn't even feel like a cashgrab at this point. Maybe I'm in conspiracy mode but it almost seems like they don't want intl fans to see this show. I wonder if the response was so negative online that they decided to go with this model instead.
Honestly I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't the EarthMix comeback show. I feel so sad for EarthMix today. I wanted to support them legally. I wanted this show to do really well despite shortcomings. But it's like it's not even being given a chance at all! My fingers are crossed that this doesn't negatively affect them, and that Moonlight Chicken is sent to Youtube and is another high quality, smash hit for them. (Please P'Aof.... please..... I have such faith in you, P'Aof...)
After the success of ATOTS, you'd think they'd be really careful about the quality of the projects for EarthMix and the viewing availability for intl fans. At the end of the day, it's EarthMix's reputation on the line, and that makes me really sad.
For me, this and "You're My Sky" are the two powerhouse BL series running right now -- completely different from…
Agreed about "You're My Sky". I didn't expect to love it so much but WOW it's good. I think ITSAY, ATOTS, and MOD all mark turning points for quality, at least in my humble opinion. I'm loving the Thai BL Renaissance that's happening right now. I can't wait to see what's in store.
The scene between White and his mother was so well done. When White said his final line before leaving, I felt like the air was punched out of me. The acting was SO GOOD.
Black is incredibly sexy. Wow, when he was smoking 👀🥵 I've never been so attracted to Gun. If only he could just stand there and smoke and not mess up everything. That fight scene was heartbreaking.
Man, I held my breath for the entire last part.
This show is SO GOOD. I really wish it was doing better in terms of views. I understand that it isn't for everyone, but it's so well made. Wow wow wow.
Thoughts this week: 1. Tupfah is so incredibly small 🥺 I'm love him. He's baby, and he needs to be protected at all costs. 2. I feel incredibly bad for San. 3. The Dome/Vee stuff is so f**ked up. And yet here I sit watching the drama as I eat from a very large tub of popcorn.
Now, it's just boring.

all i can say is yikes
i feel like this is the beginning of the end for gmmtv's straight to youtube strategy 😐
