Phupha is a person. He was in shock, thinking that Tian had killed Torfun and lied to him about it. Sometimes…
Not to mention... Tian might not have been the one behind the wheel, but his actions did lead to someone's death. He was gambling and involved with illegal street racing. He goaded his friends into behaving poorly because he was facing death. He did some bad things and has a whole sordid past that Phupha has been unaware of.
I think he deserves forgiveness and growth. I think Phupha does too. We all make mistakes but we have to move on from them.

Yes, maybe he should have. And maybe Tian should have explained earlier. And maybe Phupha should have also told the villagers about Torfun a long time ago. There are lots of things we should do but don't do in the moment.
People make mistakes - that's what makes us human. That's what makes things interesting. Phupha isn't some evil guy. He messed up, but in the end he was there for Tian when it counted. I'm sure he'll feel bad about it once he recovers.
I largely agree except for the Doc. I was in the nursing profession for long time and that was a major violation…
I straight up forgot that Nam didn't obtain his records through the proper channels. Yes. That's VERY wrong. Hahaha maybe Nam is back in my bad books after all...

Dr. Nam can access Tian's files, yes, IF it is for his care. But he isn't supposed to share things with anyone else unless they are also involved with his care - Phupha didn't even know that Tian had a heart transplant. So it's a major breach of confidentiality. Also, ethically speaking, using your access to a patient's files to dig into their private life/investigate them is very wrong. The only way Nam could share Tian's health info with Phupha is if Tian signed a release for Phupha to be a health proxy/person involved in care, but that still wouldn't make it okay because Nam didn't share information with Phupha because of Tian's health. At least that's my understanding.
Edit to add: This is all from the standpoint of someone in the US. I am not familiar with the ethical standards or patient protection laws in Thailand.

Oh that picture? He wasn't sulking. Or at least I'm sure he'd say he wasn't sulking.
Also, I kind of like the fact that there's a character with flaws in the village/base. At first it sort of felt like everyone living there were just these perfect people doing no wrong, so seeing a doctor break some rules is interesting to me.
The greatest asshole award goes to Phupha. How can you ask someone to stay by your side in the morning and give…
Phupha is a person. He was in shock, thinking that Tian had killed Torfun and lied to him about it. Sometimes we do things that we look back on later with regret when we are in shock. And even after all that... Phupha took a bullet for Tian.

I'm in the health field as well. I definitely agree it was a violation of practice. However, as it is a show, I can suspend disbelief and forget about HIPAA for 60 minutes a week haha
I'm very surprised people disliked/ were disappointed by this episode. I cried from start to finish. Yes, Phupha and the villagers were harsh, but Tian shouldn't have just vaguely said he was responsible. The villagers already had a tough enough time accepting an outsider, Tian has caused a lot of trouble for them, and then he vaguely tells them he killed Torfun? They might have assumed he straight up murdered her.
I get that Phupha was a bit mean, but when Phu told him to leave, Tian could have cleared up the confusion. Phupha probably would have slapped him upside the head for being vague.
But I think the fact that Phupha was so angry with Tian and was still willing to take a bullet for him was very special and made his sacrifice more meaningful. The scene with what I'm assuming were Phupha's memories was so moving. Seeing Tian holding Phupha's face with the hornbill story in the background was a lot.
Last episode I was very mad at Nam, but this episode he is back in my good graces lol
I don't want this show to end! I think next episode Khama will help Tian forgive himself. I would also like to see Phupha tell Tian that it wasn't his fault. I think that'd mean a lot to him.
