That flower eating is a reference to something. I’ve seen it before, I just can’t remember where. Anyway,…
Oh that's good to know! And honestly I could have handled it if they didn't get together in the end. But they could have substituted that for something else. Honestly, it's dark, but my first thought was whether the flowers were poisonous to eat.
Never thought I'd be leaving a comment like this on a show that I enjoyed thoroughly week after week, but... here I am. What was that? That was such a disappointing ending. This show did emotional moments so well over and over again. Soft conversations, frank discussions about consent, moments of healing among families. And they set them up for such a good emotional resolution in the end. And then just decided to do... whatever that was. Honestly, I thought the fairytale gag was cute. As a BONUS. Not in place of a good conversation/resolution about how much they've hurt each other and been hurt by the industry. And what about Aoey??? All he gets is some sad flower eating?? He did some bad things, but man he deserved a better resolution than that. I give the first 10 episodes a 9/10... and the last two episodes are definitely not that for me.
The pacing in this show is great. Despite some sad content, it makes me feel really soft and relaxed. The OST is so gentle and pretty. I really like it.
for me its the fact that in lovely writer tue (idk his name in lw series) made out with with one of the characters…
Oh THAT'S where I recognized him from... re: Tue, I thought it was funny how they were speaking rather explicitly the whole time about what they would do to each other and then we got a rather tame kiss to wrap it all up.
I loved episode one. So far it's cute, silly fun. Just what the doctor ordered after 1000stars.Man, Mix is SO…
Also... I started applying clown makeup as soon as they started talking about the oldest brother. I got Earth in my head, and now I can't get him out. Hahaha
I loved episode one. So far it's cute, silly fun. Just what the doctor ordered after 1000stars. Man, Mix is SO good looking. No wonder Pi was instantly in love. Mork already has my entire heart.
Well, this is a thing I just spent 2 hours watching. I really love that they both have chickenpox and I as the viewer am supposed to find things sexy despite that?? How am I supposed to invest in this story when all I can look at is the pox all over this guys face?
Either way... I'll watch it again next week lmao. Gotta fill the hole in my heart left from 1000stars with objectively worse media I guess.
So apparently in the novel, after leaving the village, Tian first completes his engineering degree, then he goes…
In the novel, Tian does not go abroad. Phupha calls him in the airport, and when he hears his voice he begins to cry. He decides not to leave but instead returns to the village. Either way, I was glad the show let Tian be an education major and get to experience the US before returning to Phupha!
My heart is so full. This is my favorite finale of a BL ever. This show has been such a comfort to me these past few weeks, and I am sad to see it go, but that was just the sweetest ending I could imagine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone involved in this for making one of the most beautiful and special shows I've ever seen.
60% of viewer age group is 18-24 years old. Only 22% from age group 25-34 years old and less then 10% for 35 years…
I see both sides. On the one hand, I agree. Someone who is 20 years old maybe shouldn't just throw away everything to move to a hill town and be a volunteer teacher indefinitely. Phupha is in his 30s, so he must be thinking about all the doors that would be opened if Tian finished school. Maybe he is thinking about his own struggle growing up without privilege, and can't see Tian throwing away his own privilege by not finishing school.
But I see the other side as well. Not everyone is meant to complete higher education. If Tian isn't internally motivated to do that but is content to stay in the village and make the sacrifices needed to make that work, then I don't think it's fair for his parents and for Phupha to force him to go back to Bangkok.
I began reading the novel, only up to chapter 6 or so (so no spoilers for the end plot here). I gotta say, seeds that Phupha had been working for Tian's dad this whole time were planted very early on. Tian also reads as much brattier. I wouldn't trade Mix's soft!Tian for the world, but I do wonder if the plots happening now in the series would seem less out of left field if some of the earlier dynamic/hints from the book were kept in.
And then just decided to do... whatever that was. Honestly, I thought the fairytale gag was cute. As a BONUS. Not in place of a good conversation/resolution about how much they've hurt each other and been hurt by the industry.

Everyone always talks about the high five but this really takes the cake for me.
