if you're able to get past through the uncomfortable (to say the least) scenes, then you'll be able to acknowledge that this is a love story of all time. just wish there were more episodes of just the two of them living their lives together as a happy couple, being wholesome and domestic and all that. in my headcanon, they'll grow old to be just like the main couple in What Did You Eat Yesterday.
- super relatable main characters - saijo has got to be my favorite fictional neurodivergent - everyone is so pretty / handsome - matsuoka mayu is soooo cute - looking forward to a s2 (hopefully)
i thought this was better than season 1. i really enjoyed it up till the last episode where i was annoyed by what misato did to the bald newbie. as for the ending, i can kind of understand why it went the way it did, looking at the point of view of what the writers and production crew were trying to achieve. overall, if you like well-produced crime dramas but just want a chill watch then this show is for you.
FL was really relatable that watching the whole thing felt like I was meditating while reflecting on myself. Also…
and that I was uncomfortable watching the ending with their public declaration of mutual love while at work. the whole time during the confession scene at the balcony, i was worried that they'd be found out by their colleagues, and in turn would cause an awkward situation, which is a cliche im not fond of.
FL was really relatable that watching the whole thing felt like I was meditating while reflecting on myself. Also the FL's chemistry with ML and her chemistry with SML (during the first half of the drama) was outstanding. I absolutely loved watching the development of FL & ML's relationship. Only things I didn't like were FL's way of handling miscommunications with ML towards the ending, which needlessly affected SML...
If you watch this from a point of view that Hira might be neurodivergent with a hyperfixation on Kiyoi, then a lot of his actions make sense.
I binged season 1 & 2 and I thought the story was really beautiful. It showcases our leads's somewhat ugly yet very human desires in a very delicate manner. Also, Yagi Yusei did such a good job as Kiyoi, especially THAT scene in the last episode. An S-tier BL and J-Drama for me. I'm so excited to have the time to watch the movie.

10/10 and one of my favorite dramas of 2024
