Person Okada Masaki
Currently watching Mikami-sensei. And to see Okada Masaki still at the top of his acting game is such a delight.
On Konse mo Ochiru, Koinaraba. May 25, 2025
Another low budget production from BUMP but this time, with a very interesting plot/theme. The storyline was all over the place.

With that though, I have to say the acting from the main leads did a lot of heavy lifting, especially Sekoguchi Ryo.

sad to say that this was mid. i usually tend to have an open mind when watching dramas with weird premise. but this one just disappointed me.

first of all, i'm surprised at how the sensei did not encounter posible consequences of being with a student. then we never even got to know the other characters outside of sahara and toki's romantic circle. we only got to know abt nekoto. also, after the conflict between the todo brothers got resolved, we never got to see them again aside from that cafe scene. we never even got to see more of their relationship. we also never got an arc of the friend who did the part time jobs.

i can't even say that they did this with the intent of just milking money off of fanservice. like, are the mune-kyun moments in the room with us rn?

overall, wouldn't recommend.
During the first few episodes, it will get you thinking that it's just romcom. But as you get towards the middle, you get attached to the characters. Which makes the ending heartwarming and emotional. I first watched Ep 1 last 2022 because I thought it wasn't for me. Fast forward to 2025, I decided to go back to this and binge it. I'm so glad I did. The reason I enjoyed it this time may be because I'm slightly different from back then and am in a different place in life. I'm not sure. But regardless, this was a masterpiece. Anyone thinking about watching this definitely should. It may not have much romantic scenes, but you'll still enjoy what the drama has to offer. On a sidenote, mangaka ML is really handsome.

I like how the underlying message in this is that it's how you affect the people around you that matters. Because it'll be your support system as you work hard towards your dreams.

I pray that the time will come when Kirino can safely re unlock her pandora's box and unleash herself out into the world - which is what I would say if Kirino didn't get the ending that he did. It's so sad that that's the kind of reality a lot of ppl are forced to choose to go through. I guess I just have to mourn the loss of who she essentially is.

Title Love Letter
Rather than a love story, i think this movie is about the story of our characters dealing with grief. The ones in Kobe (as well as female Itsuki) dealing with the loss of Itsuki (the male one) and the folks in Otaru dealing with the loss of female Itsuki's dad.

I didn't cry like most of those who've watched it, but I do think the story is beautiful and the cinematography even more.

I love this so so so much!! They're both so cute and the kissing scenes are so cute.

If you're into watching character development by seeing a couple's relationship blossom, then this is for you. I just love how they're both so supportive of each other. There is also healthy communication between the two. Again, I love it so so so much.
I'm surprised that younger bro is the main male lead instead of the older bro. Anyways, Yamashita Coki stood out the most for me. He's too good with these "kyun" moments.

I know that this show has a really weird premise, so I'm glad that this is all just fiction. I think, as a guilty pleasure, it's okay as it is.

• One of the underrated gems of this year's many jdramas
• Very self aware FL
• As someone in her late 20s, I found FL to be really relatable in terms of romantic pursuits. There were even some parts that was super relatable to the point that I was annoyed lmao
• The pacing of the comedy is really good
• Love the gradual development between the endgame couple. Friendship between two people is important for romantic relationships.
• And, as usual, Yagi Yusei is so handsome
