love the direction they went with for this spin-off/sequel to the OG movies. this was dedicated to the underdogs, to the supporting characters. that, just because you don't have the struggles, characteristics, or drive as someone befitting of a main character does not mean the happiness or glory you find matters less.
all the characters were loveable, especially meguru. love that they gave us a main character that has struggles that are realistic for a high schooler. that made her the most relatable, and that is probably why we cheer for her and her team throughout the series.
also love that they got the main cast back for this sequel. it wasn't even just a cameo, but they also got involved in the story.
can't believe it took me till the end of Feb. 2026 to watch this masterpiece. probably one of the best 2025 jdramas for me.
Currently at ep. 4, and the fact that she focuses too much on wanting to change her mother's mind about getting a divorce rather than giving the attention to the dad to have him reflect on how he's been treating her mother instead kind of leaves a bad taste for me. Like, girl, you're asking your mother to bear with the family a little longer when she's been doing that your whole life already.

While I do think the "Three Years Later" part was unnecessary, in Mob's defense, I dont think Mob waited for him until Hatano turns 20. It was more like Mob expected Hatano to forget about him within those three years but he unexpectedly reunited with him again three years later.
Really happy with this final season. All's well, and I'm so glad Mob was finally able to let love in his life. Seeing him turn down flags as a working adult would've been interesting to see tho.

Were you able to finish the show? Wanted to ask if the women got some sort of justice in the end. I'm at ep. 3, and I was hoping all this feminine rage I'm feeling about the story would be worth it when I see some sort of justice/redemption in the end.
This drama just kept triggering my feminine rage. I'm at episode 3, and I hate how the male characters just kept gaslighting and invalidating the women's feelings. I hope some kind of poetic justice happens at the end.
I don't know what to think of this drama. I had the best time watching the first half. But starting ep. 9 or 10, one of the plot points lost me. But I did like the ending and also the acting from the cast. I think Koji did great alongside March. I loved the pair's dynamic. One's wholesome and hard working while the other one is reserved, sarcastic, yet a softie. I do think Koji enjoyed portraying the sarcasm in Thai language, given that sarcasm in Japanese almost non existent. And also Fluke is such a darling. Loved seeing him on-screen. Oh, and Jeans's actress is sooo pretty. Reminds me of former LSFM Garam. Anyway, there going back to the show, there were some dragging moments. Think this show would've been okay with only nine episodes with 1hr each. But overall, an okay watch.

Anyways, my most favorite pair to watch was Yoshizawa and Takabayashi. I loved the stark difference in their characters and the subtle push and pull in the development of their relationship. Plus, Sekoguchi Ryo, as always, is a delight to watch. He was perfect as Takabayashi. The only disappoinment was the touching of their lips (would not call that a kiss lmao)
While watching ep. 8, I was like "why do they keep hurting my boy Hill?" then BAM! I did not expect the kiss, especially with Koji!! Anyways, I'm having the time of my life with this drama.
I cant believe I held off for so long from watching this. I remember this being on my flight to Japan back in November 2022 but I didnt watch it bcus of the stressful day it was. I had so many opportunities to watch it but decides to hold it off. That was up until today, on a rainy afternoon in the last week of October 2025, feeling quite sentimental. I wanted to watch a movie that could get this mellow feeling off my chest and I remember this movie so I watched it.
It was so beautiful. I love the music. The plot. Every one of the characters. Omg I dont even know what else to say. This movie is something everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime.
What Dr. Makino said to Nao at the end must've altered the child's brain chemistry. This SP was touching and I loved seeing the kids, who all grew up a bit. Also, Dr. Makino is such a darling. Love seeing an eccentric character who is loved by everyone around him.
Currently rewatching, and I still feel the same way as I did when I first watched this. So underrated!! The chemistry between are leads is just exquisite. And the kisses are so adorable.
