Agree, it got draggy the 1st half but story gets better after ep 23. My favorite part is the wedding scenes and YJL fighting scenes! The interactions between YJL and JYY are so sweet and fun especially after the wedding. I think the drama would do better if they focus on both male and female leads equally rather than just focusing JYY being attack by everybody.

Yang mother is a business women and sees Marriage as a business transaction because that's how she was treated in her marriage with Yang Dad. However, it's good that she acknowledged the talent of JYY and teach JYY to improve her business skills.

I am looking forward to Kill my Sins. Evans though he is a supporting roles, it looks like an action pack drama. Heard it will be out next year

Loving the sweet life after Marriage! I like how the mother-in-law is more supportive unlike the mother-in-law in Sword and the Brocade (TSY other drama) who is very insufferable.

I am hoping we can see them together in the we same frame again on the Tencent event on Jan 4 2025. They are both rumored to attend.

The ratings are not reliable in MDL nowadays due to so many anti-fans. This drama has 200million views in just 2 weeks so that's pretty good. I am loving the drama. If you like light hearted comedy and learning Chinese culture of silk making, you should check it out.

It's really disappointed how the ratings system is in MDL now. 7.8 really do this drama unjustice. I can think of so many dramas far worst than this that got higher rating. Now the only reliable source is checking the viewership.

I never like Douban. I don't know why china relies heavily on it. A lot of time, the reliable reviewer rate it after drama completed. So it's usually the fans and anti's rate first. Both TSY and ZYC are not traffic actors so there are more anti's attacking the drama.

1.Working to pay off debt is not call slavery. Madam Hua did threatened them to slavery but JYY was able found a way to get out of it. I don't know why you refer to slavery scenes when slavery never happened. 2. In your 1st post/review, you mentioned you watch up to ep4 at the time. Now you do research and said abuse happen in ep7? Also,the father got killed, not abused. 3. It is rare for someone to say they like an actor and then discredit them in the same paragraph. It's like saying you like this chef but their cooking is bad.
4. I noticed you are a big fan of Zhao lusu. She plays the same type of dramas. Do you feel this drama is a competition to your idol? Anyways I am done responding to you. No longer want to waste my time on this poor review.

Both characters are career driven but their personalities are different. Jixing is more easy going and soft, and Jiyingying is more fiesty and daring.

Agree, I used to come here to read the reviews but now it's no longer reliable. Just like Douban, the reviews in site is taken over by fandoms and haters.

You claim you like TSY and ZYC? Yet you rate their acting skill low and negatively criticized them the same time? I don't believe you even watch this drama. You don't even get the plot right in your review...slavery scenes, abuse, discrimination?...I think you get confused with another drama, Story of Pearl Girl. Sounds like you are a hater and here just to low rate this drama.

Although TSY has good chemistry with her male leads, it's good to see her with this male lead who doesn't have a "cold" personality for a change. Love JYY and YJL playful teasing and comedic interaction everytime they meet!

Sounds like someone is jealous because TSY is getting more attention than their idol now. If you think of it, there are many of female centric drama this year that are far worst than this one, why pick on this one? Is it because you feel this one is a competition?
