Full cast has been announced, and as expected, they replaced ZHW with another actor. The role of Zhao Xiu Yuan will now be played by actor Zhao Hua Wei! The delay of broadcasting is probably due to this.

Agree, Seven is very beautiful and she looks good in all her dramas except for ABAY. I am so disappointed with the ABAY stylist. I feel they only care to focus on making XK look good. After ABAY, her new styles totally sky rocket this year!

I think the delay go back to ZHW. I don't think the production team wants to take a risk of being shelved. Otherwise, why do they upload another trailer without him? I bet they are re-editing the drama to remove him. Even though there is no evidence of any law breaking, there is his audio that already give him a bad rep. Just my thoughts.

There are some new rumors that Seven will cooperate a drama with Li Xian. Not sure if that news is reliable but it looks better than the other rumored drama "Me and my life". Both dramas are about entrepreneurs again. I am just looking forward to Xiao Yao for now because that is different from her other drama and its not about business.

There are no official confirmation yet but base on many resources out there, it is highly possible she will take this drama. Sina entertainment news stated it was originally set for Zhao Li Ying and Wang Kai. Then ZLY got sign up another drama so they reached out to Seven, Bai Lu, and Li LunDi.

I agree, The trailer is so boring, looks like a documentry on silk making with no story line. No interaction between the leads. I don't understand the secret behind it. It doesn't make me as excited about the drama like ABAY.

It's hard to compare with Story of Pearl Girl because this drama, Brocade Odyssey, has been very low key and secretive ever since it started filming. It only released a short teaser trailer and couple posters. I don't even remember seeing a booting ceremony when it started.

There was a lot of rumors that Seven was the original FL for Pearl Girl. Then the role changed to Lusi instead and Seven got the FL role for brocade Odyssey. I wonder if Seven drop that drama because this script is better?
