for one she is 13 and he is 17 at first meeting (not romantic at all). He often litterly states "I'm well.out of her league", and he saved her from his brother and said to him "I told you not to touch my things". A very charming fella XD Well at least in the novel his arrogance is annoying and not funny, I can imagine that they could write it in a more funny, lighthearted way for the drama. Its often so that the novel has extreme scenes/characterd wich the script writer changes :)
For me thr novel has just the right amount of romance :) Maybe nc I dont like the male lead very much but to ot coul've have no romance at all and just friendship.
I'm currently reading the novel and I'm excited to see rhe characters (and setting) irl. But I must say, Sheen Miao is kind of a bitch xD I hope they'll write the female lead in the drama similiar and won't give her a heart of gold. She reads a lot like a really good villain because well, she used the same dirty methods the actual villain used on her :) She took an eye for an eye and went further XD
lol thats what I mean. It is not a good choice to make a gender bender in modern era bc it is an outdated trope with outdated comedy BUT bc I liked to watch them I will watch this one without any expectation of it being good. I unreasonably told you to watch this new one bc you unreasonably told me to watch the old stuff. Just threw the ball back at you. I don't care who watches what and for what reason (nostalgia or otherwise)
