Started this today after PYHOMS. which I love. After watching the first episode of this series, I see the potential. I love the first episode, hopefully it continues to be a good series to watch.
This is actually a light and well-made series. I've watched many rom-com, loved some and dropped some, but this is one which keeps me wanting to continue because the story is polished, the direction is realistic and the acting is natural, their nuances are fit to their roles. Many international fans are anticipating this series on youtube and I understand, it is also rating well. Highly recommended to the young who are experiencing first loves and young at heart who want to relive their younger years of falling in love and being loved by someone.
I was hesitating to watch this because it has 48 episodes and many series gets dragged in the middle episodes. But I am pleasantly surprised by how excellent this series is. Funny most of the times (I can't count how many times I laughed so hard) but it also gets intense and emotional and by that time, viewers already are attached to the characters.
My hesitation in fact turns to binge-watching, I actually love the chemistry between Yingying and Xiao Tian, their love, though not the focal point is sweet, they really click together. And not to mention the fatty and lovable Da Heng who shines in his scenes. Hope to see him in another series. Highly recommended.
This is a total mess for me. Pop can act, and Oat also to a certain degree, but they are limited by the very vague and shallow story-line. The other actors better attend acting workshops first. I am not usually mean but I wasted my time.
This is actually very good! After dropping another Chinese series, I tried to watch the first episode of this series to check . Much to my surprise, it is indeed excellent. The reactions of the characters in situations are very natural and realistic. The pacing is fast but the story has depth unlike others. The actors are excellent. So now, I am in episode 8 and enjoying this series very much.
This was one of the first Chinese series that I've watched. And the way it touched me and made me shed a tear or two reminds me of how beautiful this drama is. Really memorable and unforgettable. Ze Yi and Ye Zi is one great pair in one excellent series.
This should have been a greater series but then the characters aren't fully developed, they remain one-dimensional, acting only on the need to complete the plot. Some scenes are really unrealistic and dumb one may think the characters aren't thinking properly. I already disregarded some similarities with Boys Over Flowers but the story, plot and characters are too shallow to allow this drama to have its sparkling life. It has cuteness yes for those looking for a series like that though their acting needs some honing, maybe because of their shallow characters.
Great series, far better than the last Chinese drama I just watched. I have watched 10 episodes subbed and eagerly waiting for the other episodes to be subbed. I put this in the same league as my favorite Chinese series with school setting: Love020, A Love So Beautiful, Meteor Garden, Accidentally in Love, My Huckleberry Friends, Suddenly This Summer, When We Were Young(2018) and With You.
This series is ok, not excellent. The story is good and the scenes are realistically done. The two leads go well together, they are actually cute together. But what I find lacking are the conflicts that engage viewers more into the lead characters. The male lead is cold-heated and his character is in-sync with the very slow journey of the romance. This may be a bit boring to some viewers looking for some action. The series focuses more on the trivial matters and the plot progresses thru dialogues. I wonder if the budget of this series is just minimal. The LiZi/Yu Sheng story is more engaging. But overall, this series is not bad, just light and slow burn.
This series is lighthearted. The female lead I've seen in Come and Hug Me and she's good. The male lead has such a smiling face that even if he becomes serious, his eyes are still smiling. I wonder how he will fare in a drama. But the two are cute together. Overall, if u'r looking for nothing serious, watch this.
The title can suggest a sort of rom-com, but in reality, this is one drama I love deeply. It feels so complete after finishing it! But, it was not done haphazardly, because the characters are developed in such a way that even the villains' actions are felt to the bones.
The story is great, the direction is excellent, and most of all, the actors did their part so competently. From the two leads, the psychopath father (he's so damn good!), the mother, esp. Hyun Moo (I can feel his pain, his expressions tear me apart, he needs to be loved and accepted).
What the heck is this series, basking on clothless body (Pond always no upper garment) and physical aspect (special scene of clothless Pond with some drizzles and that intro scene of the Korean). But it doesn't have much story to tell. And to think Jasmine allowed a Korean to stay in the house she doesn't own without asking permission first. It's just one of those parts that tell you this series is not made to offer quality. And the acting needs improvement sorry to say.
Short as it may be, but it's good. After seeing Captain in other more mature roles, it's a treat to see him return as Noh and be paired again with White. If there is really a plan for LoveSick 3, well many are waiting for that. They have grown now and it will be nice to see what they are as Phun and Noh at present.
Perth and Saint have a more mature chemistry and a heavier material to showcase their talents can be explored, just hope their management will be ok. Perth is a very talented actor., he can easily convey emotions at his very young age. This boy can act! Their emotional scene here is very engaging.
Mean and Plan is more for that rom-com side. They have undeniable chemistry and their character and personality combined is very good to pursue a lighter material. Mean can be serious like in LBC or fun like here and his pairing with Plan is nice to watch whether they love or quarrel on screen.
First three episodes are good. There are so much to look forward to in the story. Viewers are still oblivious to what happened in the past, so it's something to look forward to. And the romance part is slowly being introduced.
I didn't expect this drama to be this good, but it is very well-made. The plot is nice, the direction well-planned, and of course the acting is excellent. Ohm is indeed a very good actor, this kid can act! And he and Singto has that undeniable and refreshing chemistry. Whether this has a happy ending or not is immaterial because the series is great! But of course, a happy ending is a bonus.
The story is just okay, but it tried to have a different plot. Male Love and Tangmo are natural actors, their expressions alone are great acting already. Menn is a revelation for me, he can act well. Sean is also great but he has a smaller role. If the production can think of a good story to follow this up, then a Season 2 can be possible.
There are more cliches than I expected in this series. The characters are not that likeable but the actors are awesome in portraying their roles. But there is something missing wherein I understand the characters but fail to empathize with them, maybe the conflicts are deep, but the road to resolutions are not enough to fully engage the viewers. It is good by regular standards but I still prefer the last series I watched (It's Ok, That's Love). Anyway, it's worth watching this series, it's not bad!
After watching 2 disappointing series (at least for me, I even dropped one), this one is an excellent change! This is really good, from the story, the characters and how the actors were able to portray their roles are really excellent. The two leads are so good, even their small expressions give tons of emotions to the viewers. They can give justice to their roles even without uttering a word. I hope Jo In Sung will make another series with Gong Hyo Jin! I also applaud the Tourette guy Lee Kwang Soo, the emotional friend Tae Hang Ho, & the older brother Yang Ik Jun, whose deep anger is relatable and understandable. But most of all, the series gave me a new understanding of people with mental health issues. Excellent!
Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na are my favorite couple. They go very well together. And this series gave us those sweet moments. But overload of the sweetness without genuine conflicts tend to be boring afterwards. What I found lacking is the plot that challenges our viewing experience with new elements. I hope my favorite couple can make one series that challenges their excellent acting esp. in rom-com as well as make viewers be more engrossed with unpredictable storyline. But this drama is not bad.
