Hello! So I was pondering on GeSun and got to thinking how we relate Changge to a pigeon/dove and A'Sun to a falcon/eagle.. When I think about associating Changge with a bird/animal a pigeon/dove will be the last thing I associate with her.. I mean other than wanting to bring peace into the world there is no other underlying relatable characteristic between Changge and a dove.. Maybe we can add that like a pigeon which has an almost 360 degree vision - Changge also has foresight..
If I would associate an animal to Changge I would associate her with an apex predator - a leopard.. It has the highest percent of successful kills, is fast, stealthy, agile and has a honed instinct..
I am satisfied with A'Sun as a falcon (a peregrine falcon at that)- lot of relatable characteristics - one of the fastest bird, sharp eyes, muscular military appearance, has a swift hunt, fast to recover and the cherry on top - they mate for life!!
I think they’re trying to push us out, as they think we’re just spamming this page now…I think Sakie is…
You're absolutely right.. Your account, your comment - if people don't like it they can very well ignore it and go somewhere else.. Besides last time I checked we are just commenting about the drama and how we got angry that our comments about the drama got deleted - not a crime anywhere in the world? Also something completely different and nowhere connected to 'people getting slaughtered'? This is MDL not the UN.org..
After watching TLB I am now an ardent fan of Leo Wu Lei! He brought Ashille Sun to life and nobody else in my eyes can ever replace him as Ashille Sun.. Such an amazing actor and a total eye-candy.. Looking forward to his future projects! Also planning to watch his previous dramas and movies..
Wow! Great job summarizing the episode, very thorough!
So this is what I think - I like the title massacre because that is what this scene is, so many people slaughtered.. From my perspective I think that the 'dagger' plays a pivotal role in this episode. It is an inanimate object; however it acted as a turning point for Changge.. If she hadn't seen the bloodied dagger near her mothers dead body she wouldn't have confirmed her worst fears that her beloved uncle murdered them most important person in her life (even though she saw him coming out of her mothers quarters with blood all over him). The hurt, anger, disbelief and hate which must have enveloped her seeing that dagger - the one she had won with pride and given respectfully and lovingly to her 'teacher', her trusted loved family, her uncle - was used in the most brutal manner.. We also see the importance of this dagger throughout the series - it was used as a bargaining tool by AS, returned to LC by AS to its 'rightful owner' and eventually used as a gesture of 'truce' to her uncle towards the end.. So my title for this episode is :- 'The dagger of blood and tears'..
My notes of Episode 1 summary:Chang Ge's mother warns Li Shimin about Crown Prince's plans (We later on find out…
Yes! I do like her character arc and progression.. But I also miss her earlier days swagger.. Not that I am complaining, Changge's growth is what the story is about and I love everything about it.. :)
'She can live a carefree life with the man she loves.' _ yes the ending we all love!
I read the novel a long time ago and my first thought was the FL should be played by Dilraba. She fits this character…
I had the same opinion! I remember reading the novel around last year January and then thinking Dilraba is QJJ personified! She is gorgeous, successful, sassy but humble and naïve.. And few months later I read the news about her starring in this drama with YY.. They are really going to give us a visual treat!

I really like this title! The political machinations are afoot in this episode (be it the Ashille tribe plans, Li Shi Min - Li Jiangchen plans, Li Changge's mother's plan).. The chaos has started..
My notes of Episode 1 summary:Chang Ge's mother warns Li Shimin about Crown Prince's plans (We later on find out…
Yes I was thinking on the same lines.. There is a drastic change from the Changge of the first episode and the Changge of the last episode.. Gone is the carefree, playful, smiling Changge... Sadly we hardly see her smiling hereafter..

Interesting discussion! The pace of the very first episode is fast, it introduces a lot of characters in quick succession and a gives an idea of the motives of some characters.. Since quite a bit of the focus was on Li Changge and its a story about her I will write the title from her perspective for the very first episode.. 'The calm before the storm'..
